	Tom Waits Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers and Bastards This is just a short opinion, not a full fleged review. Personally, I think Tom Waits is among the, if not the, best songwriters alive today. I rank his lyrical prowess with the likes of Dylan, LennonMcCartney, and Magnum. My first draw to Waits was his offkilter experimental tracks, the ones outlined in the Bastards disc, but eventually I grew to emensly appreciate his crushing ballads. His voice like a steam roller over the haunting chords and the tragic Noir characters that are etched into the pavement of a back alley of every city in America, these tracks stab you in the chest with a corkscrew, yank your heart out and shove it back in ol	4.5 01.01.70
