Compared with other available ESB albums, “Blue, Dressed In Black” showcases a wider range of musical styles and makes for a wonderful sampling of what the band is capable of achieving. This album contains everything I’ve come to expect from the Eric Stuart Band (ESB); namely, Eric’s irresistible voice, ingenious lyrics, catchy tunes, and a good mix of songs. “Sad Day For Love” displays Eric’s unique way of writing genuinely about heartache and frustration, while maintaining a fast tempo and good beat. It takes tireless dedication, maniacal perfectionism, and God-given talent to make music like this. ESB spoiled me for life from the very first track—there is no going back to hearing music as usual now that I know that music like this is possible! Eric has the most wonderful voice I have ever heard.
