The strongest of the SZNZ series. While still not truly excellent, this is the closest to really capturing lightning in a bottle. The opener is cold and effective, Iambic Pentameter is probably the strongest tracks in the series, period. Sheraton Commander is a fantastic theatrical experiment with some lovely string flourishes throughout. Each track has a particular moment that is memorable or cool. Surprisingly solid. That being said... SZNZ overall is a messy mixed bag, with maybe 12-15 good tracks at most and A LOT of filler. Doesn't come anywhere near the magic of other recent Weezer successes like White and OK Human

Rivers' worst indulgences and best eccentricities combine in an unholy alchemy of sugar plum fairy fantasies, existentialism, seasonal affective disorder, and... Revolutionary War era George Washington? My new favorite Christmas album and Weezer's best since the white album. A diverse and consistently strong collection of 28 tracks in a year Weezer released four albums. Based.

Overall, a solid 3.5 for the whole SZNZ. Every part
captures each season very well, except for Summer.
The formula is as usual as a nice sunny day, but
some of the lyrical choices is like an annoyingly
cold breeze. Rivers has a good voice, Spring
captures Springs perfectly (in it's good parts), and
most of all it sounds like Weezer. It's no Blue
Album, but it's a fun record to end the year to.
