First go around with these guys, and I'm more than impressed. Pretty scratchy vocals with a kind of "euuggh" delivery on every line but very unique. Lots of little interludes and breaks throughout each track to add variety with keys and horn-work. The guitars are creative in a very fun and unconventional way (when they decide to slow down) and besides those very unique traits there is some of the most solid and polished black metal I've heard in 2022.

up to the 4 that it deserves, but the vocals are just a little too upfrong and machine gun-y for

It's Sigh: batshit crazy Japanese avant black psych metal. So, yeah, it's Sigh, but this time they managed (imo) to make their zany proposition digestible for mf like me. Tight shi, less all-over-the-place, and more technical than most of their other output.

This is a perfectly average metal album that is overall too long and is a bit two-sided throughout making it a jumbled listening experience. There are some solid tracks but the overall pace and ear fatigue I get from the record makes it a tough album to fully get through.
