development gottttttdddamn. now i hope he can just change his artist name to Montero or something so i dont
wanna bleach my eyes out every time i read "Lil Nas X".

Fun lil record gotta say. A quasi-seamless blend of pop and rap, Montero isn't entirely consistent quality-wise, but there definitely are more highs than lows. The dude surpassed expectations and showed he not only an industry babe.

Lil Nas X has defied every expectation the industry had of him, from being written off as a one-hit-wonder to pulling Doja Cat, Megan, Miley, Jack Harlow, and oh yeah ELTON JOHN into a real hit of an album. I'm so happy this release was so good!

This is a great accessible combination of pop sound with rap. Lil Nas X is an excellent curator - the blend of producers make for a wide array of sounds, and I found myself excited to hear what was coming next every time. Features are solid too, all of them somehow working great?? This kids' got a bright future ahead of him

While I think that some of the songs are really great, I feel like he reuses the same formula over and over again which makes it redundant by the end of the record, which closes on such an empty note.

Lil Nas X might be one of the biggest rap artists in the rap landscape today. After coming through with one of the biggest singles ever to hit the airwaves in ?Old Town Road? he stamped his future into the famous life he lives now. This kind of success could easily succumb an artist and lead them to make generic music for the masses. However, Montero?s debut album is anything but that. In one way this is an explosive and expansive hip-hop album that dabbles in pop-rap and contemporary RnB. But in another light, it is an introspective look at what Lil Nas X has been personally going through. The demons he has been fighting mentally and physically. There are some beyond memorable tracks like ?Dead Right Now? and ?Scoop?, but there are also heartfelt ballads like ?Am I Dreaming? and ?Void?. A great listen for anyone who wants some simple and easy rap and RnB music.

This album has no right going this catchy and powerful all throughout... or maybe it has all the right, I can't tell. Congrats to Lil Nas X on successfully turning his 15 minutes of fame into the upcoming 15 years of fame, presumably.
