0.0 | | January 23rd 12 | Creating a picturesque atmosphere with vocals that take you into the clouds, catchy melodies
and strong songwriting, Nada Surf create an entry into the alternative rock genre that will
simply relax you and take your mind on a journey drifting through the air in the night sky,
while not initially breaking any new ground, it is the most solid out of all Nada Surf's
releases and a worthy entry into your collection.

3.5 great | Hydroxybenzo | April 18th 10 | A really good album. Cheery and happy by a band who really have a handle on the concept of a great melody. "See These Bones" is a really good song, I haven't heard anything as good as it for a while.

4.0 excellent | JohnnyDepp | March 9th 10 | I'm not their biggest fan but this record has some solid tracks and many superb chill out melodies!
This is one of those albums you can just listen to as a whole without getting bored. The feeling it provides makes
you get lost in your thoughts yet it is light and relaxing.
The most creative song on the record would be "The Fox" but my favourite track is "Whose Authority", a song that
has everything I mentioned above, it is so light and cheerful but still makes you wonder about some things and long
for freedom: "On whose authority, I have none over me" that's a great line! So all in all it's a very calm but a good
album that one might enjoy on a quiet evening alone

3.0 good | gregoteroamnesiac | February 29th 08 | I'll Start off by saying I am a HUGE Nada Surf fan and directly following I will state my opinion about Lucky, their 5th full length studio album. While not their best, a solid effort at that. The songs are probably just as well written and production is again top notch with great vocals, lyrics and guitar lines but there is just one problem with the release. It doesn't have that upbeat, fun energy that we all heard with ease on, in my opinion, all their previous releases. Lucky comes off as heavy and drowsy and never gains enough momentum to pull itself out of the hole it dug for itself. Of course there are standout tracks such as, See These Bones, Weightless and I Like What You Say and I have to admit the songs have grown on me substantially, it just doesn't have enough redeeming qualities to step out in the forefront of the wonderful Nada Surf discography. In finishing this short piece, I will say that if you are a diehard Nada Surf fan such as myself, you will find plenty to like in the release but if you are new to the band definitely listen to Let Go or The Weight Is A Gift, as those albums are utter masterpieces in the world of Nada Surf and my world too.
