Love the Blue Stahli influences, it's really heavy for a Red record and the strings are awesome! I
think they can actually make a lot longer and more epic songs, some songs really feel like they
had to fit in the 4 minute mark... The build ups could be longer and some parts could fit better
with the choruses.

Really good album. Definitely a comeback. Feel like I've outgrown them a bit though. Really repetitive at times - like there's almost always a heavy bridge with some occasionally misplaced screaming. Also, vocals are off-melody too often. Still, definitely some interesting songs. Of These Chains is the best slow song they've ever done, in my opinion. The Darkest Part is a great single. Take Me Over is a great poppy track. Gravity Lies and Falling Sky are pretty good, and The Ever is the best track on the album.
The string use is pretty dank all over this.

This beautifully chaotic album filled with some of the band's most epic songs to date could have benefitted from either removing some tracks that could have served better as b-sides or a slightly different track sequencing.

Never really been a big fan of the Christian rock scene, but this band definitely showed some potential w/ this album (nearly a borderline 4/5). Now THIS is the album that should've been in place of their Innocence and Instinct album. I dare say this might be their magnum opus until they learn to stray away from their 10 Years' similarities.

Red really disappointed me with their last two efforts, but man did they revive themselves with Of Beauty And Rage. Returning back to the "alternative metal with strings" sound found on their first two albums, Red remind us here why we fell in love with them in the first place. This album made me feel invested in a way that I didn't experience listening to Until We Have Faces or Release The Panic. There's a lot of atmosphere here, not to mention some downright heavy moments that could be the heaviest in the band's career. An hour in length, it never feels bloated or over ambitious, but greatly reminds us that Red is still an amazing band and still can make amazing music. This is their best album since Innocence and Instinct and one that I can't recommend enough. 9/10

I'd like to give this a 4 but it lies at a 3.7 (correct rating, Ponton). While it would have been
easy for Red to re-hash their older material to make up to their fans after RtP, they did more
than that. I commend Red for carving deeper into their original sound, and not being afraid to try
longer song lengths and new musical structures.

A stupendous return to form for the boys from Red. I don't think these guys have ever made an album where the second half outclasses the first half, yet here we are. Absolutely epic songs, you can really hear the quality is back in their sound. Recommended Songs: Fight to Forget, Gravity Lies, The Ever

I'm going to have to listen to the album again to really let it sink in, but after the first listen, it's definitely better than Release the Panic. That said, I thought it sort of stretched on too long. It felt more like a film score than a rock album. "Yours Again" is my favorite.
