According to the End of Silence album booklet, Rauch was the band'sprimarycomposer.Enlisting the talents ofGrammy-nominated and Dove award-winning rock producer, Rob Graves, Red signedadevelopmentcontract with Graves' independentproductioncompany. After recording several demo songs, the band wasquicklysigned by SonyBMG imprint, Essential Records. Hendrixparted ways withthe band and after an extended search, thebandchose Hayden Lamb(twin brother of former Paramore guitarist, HunterLamb) as hisreplacement on drums. As a resultof hissuccessful early workwith Red, Graves was chosen to produce the band's debut albumEnd of Silence. The band's debut album End of Silence was released in 2006, and was nominated for a Grammy Award in the categoryofBestRockGospelAlbum at the 49th Grammy Awards. The album's first single, "Breathe Into Me," peaked at No. 15 ontheU.S.Mainstream Rock chart andwonthe "Rock Recorded Song of the Year" award at the 38th annual GMA Dove Awardsin2007.The music video is set to photographs in a filmlab,where the band plays. "Breathe Into Me" also broke the top tenonActiveRock charts. Throughout 2007 Red toured with Three DaysGrace,Breaking Benjamin, and Candlebox. On November27,Red'svan and trailer crashed on Interstate 24. There was major damage to thevehiclesinvolved, and formerdrummerHaydenLamb suffered injuries to his shoulder that forced him to sit out on their headlining tour. The band's second album, Innocence & Instinct, was released on Feb 10, 2009 and debuted on the Billboard 200 chart atNo.15selling39,000copies in its first week. The album peaked higher on the charts than the band's previous album andhasreceivedoverwhelminglypositivereviews from critics. The album also peaked at No. 5 in its first week of release oniTunesoverall topalbums chart. The album features10songs, including the first rock radio single, "Death of Me". The DeluxeEditionwas releasedthe same day, featuring 4 additionaltracks:Including "Forever", the "Death of Me" music video, photogalleryand a behind-the-scenes "Making of Innocence & Instinct"videodocumentary. The track "Shadows" was co-writtenbyBenjamin Burnley. Until We Have Faces was released Feb 1, 2011. The band released a teaser video on Facebook via YouTube whichfeaturedtheband name onasheet of parchment, which burned away, revealing the album title. Vocalist Michael Barnes statedon hisFacebookpage that the newalbumwould be produced by Rob Graves, who also produced the first two albums. A picturewasposted onproducer Rob Graves's Twitteraccountshowing three guitars with tape on them showing tunings of A#, A, andG#,which hintedthat this record may be heavier than theprevioustwo. Also, videos are displayed from the making of therecordon Red's Youtube,Facebook, and website. On December9,codes were given to allfans that sent in pictures of their faces to download an MP3 for the song "FeedtheMachine". On Jan6,2011, the new Red websitewas unveiled. The fan photos were used to create a mosaic poster. Red appearedonConanO'Brienon Feb 8, 2011, as their firstever live television performance and appeared on The Tonight Show on Feb 16,2011.Thealbumalso debuted at No. 2 on thebillboard list. "Feed the Machine" started to be added to Active Rock Radio stations inmid-February. Until WeHave Faces has soldmore than 100,000 copies. "Start Again" won the award for Best Rock RecordedSong ofthe Year at the2011 GMA DoveAwards. On Jul 10, 2012, Red posted that a new album would be in the works. The album was be produced by Howard Benson,andwasreleased onFeb5, 2013. The post said that fans would hear a new song from the album before the end of the year.OnSep 17,2012, Red posted aYouTubevideo on their website with the release date of Feb 5, 2013.Jesusfreakhideout.compublished thatthe new album would be calledRelease thePanic and confirmed the Feb 5, 2013 releasedate. A teaser for thealbum, "Releasethe Panic", was released on Nov 9, 2012. Redalsoparticipated in the WinterJam 2013Tour Spectacular alongwith artistsTobyMac, Matthew West, and others. Alongside Release the Panic,Redreleased an anthologytitled Who We Are:The RedAnthology on the same day.
