This album possibly could have been better if, for say, the vocalist didn't sound so boring and sleep-deprived, but instead you get nothing but that. The guitar melodies and riffs are all cheesy and lackluster, as is the bass which is hardly audible. Not to mention, one of the lamest, worst songs are on here; 'Run.' Put together as a single, it's extremely boring and too dull. The chorus is actually somewhat okay, but everything else on this album is pure nonsense, as is the band.

A more than solid alternate rock album that actually carries itself through with a powerful vocal performance despite the occasionally bland instrumental. Anyone who knows them from their hit songs should consider checking this out as it is a completely different kettle of fish and far superior to all of their more commercial hits. Whilst they have fallen off the radar a little over the years this album shows that they rule.

After hearing two tracks from this album, How To Be Dead and Run, I thought it would be great. I really enjoyed these songs, but when I listened to the rest of the disc I was very disappointed. The rest of the tracks seem bland and uninspired with nothing really catching my interest or jumping out at me. The songs just kind of meander along using a safe formula, and unfortunately that doesn't make for a very exciting listen.
