catastrophically horrible. Everything sounds bemired, and the shoddy mixing job
winds up burying Geoff Tate's vocals underneath all the other layers. It's surprising
that Tate even approved of a production job on the finished product that leaves his
voice overpowered by virtually every other instrument; seeing as how this whole
epidemic is all about him in the first place, right? Also, the redos of previous
Queensryche songs are completely unnecessary, and seem to have only been
included on this album as if to show Tate's ex-band mates that he can pull off those
songs even better without them. Spoiler: he doesn't even come close here. The only
positive feature about this is that Tate recruited some real metal and hard rock
veterans to perform on this album, and they all play their roles with great
proficiency. Aside from that though, you really can't shake the feeling that
Frequency Unknown was primarily recorded out of spite, and the album's
credibility really suffers for that very reason.

| 1.0 awful | mandan | April 25th 14 | Yeah, this is utter shite. Complete garbage, a shame my fave vocalist of all time spearheaded this bucket of bullshit.

| 2.0 poor | Lani | April 26th 13 | Incredibly bland, but not quite as bad as #willpower. Two tracks actually had infectious melodies ("The Hands of God" and Give it to You"), but even they only have so much to offer. As far as the rerecordings, I haven't heard the original versions I can only go off of how bored I was.
