Karen O may be experiencing a serious lack of vision or might be suffering from an identity crisis. The album has a few highlights, especially the incredibly produced and layered single "Sacrilage" which may be the best YYY track in recent memory. The album slumps moderately from passable to forgettable. The tracks aren't all bad on the way down, they just lack a clear identity. Even the track featuring Killer Mike's Dr. Octagon is random and unnecessary, but it's still fun. My favorite review of Mosquito has to be by Josh Kurp whose article is titled "5 Stages of Yeah Yeah Yeahs: How to Admit a Great Band has Released Their Worst Album" on Uproxx.com. All my thoughts on this album come from it. This album is not terrible, it's just a big plate of "Meh, okay."
