their best album in years and years. despite stripping down the sound even more bare, they accentuate every aspect that they do really well. it feels far more subtle and natural than any of their more recent outputs, and with improvements all across the board (especially aaron's vocals which have made a huge step forward), this album serves as a glorious return to form for my dying bride. :]

Ive been digging through their discog recently and this albums the one thats so far really just clicked for me and spoken to me. Atm this is the 5 for this bands incredible discography. It feels theatrical and epic

Let’s face it, they’re never going to make another Turn Loose the Swans again. It’s just not going to happen. On the other hand, the extended doom/death stuff that they’ve been doing lately is still really good. Probably their best release since returning to the doom sound.
