| Judio! They're all amazing songs, but Nausea has that un-****ing-believable trumpet solo that makes me melt every time I hear is. Darkness is my second favorite too I think. The vocals plus the lyrics on that song are so intensely emotional jesus christ.

| Sowing I agree Red was an identity crisis but she totally picked the wrong identity IMO. Country pop defined her, it was her kingdom. It would be like Beyonce trying to go country. It just hurts my head.

 | OmairSh Nah Heritage doesn't have an orchestra, actually PC was the first Opeth album to incorporate a symphony (and it's basic use is another thing I didn't like). There are grandiose sections on Heritage but that's all the keyboards (primarily the mellotron). No problem dude, hope you enjoy POS, it's an extremely gifted band.

| OmairSh If you want some other really cool prog metal I highly recommend Pain of Salvation's TPE or Remedy Lane. Both are great.

| OmairSh I love prog, and Heritage was good, but PC brings nothing new to the table. I was hoping he'd experiment a lot more. He didn't on Heritage either, but of course at that time he had to warm fans up for the change in the band's direction. There are some great moments on PC, but I was hoping they'd take more risks. I love the opener

| OmairSh I think it might have been the production as well. It's a little more direct in BWP. I'm personally not a fan of Watershed, but a lot of people love it. Heritage is cool though

| OmairSh Yeah if you're not a fan of growls the earlier albums will be more difficult to get into. You might enjoy Watershed, it's got less growls than GR, and Heritage (similar to Pale Communion)

| Judio! Yeah same here. Qeres was my favorite the first time I heard the album, but now I can't even pick a favorite without killing myself inside. But I guess if I had to pick five I'd go with Qeres, Archangel, Burning Mirror, Gutted, and Everything Disappearing.

 | Archelirion Nah, Hanako's is just... alright. It's a good route, don't get me wrong, but definitely my least favourite. Got some interesting character development in Lilly's route though, I think...Shizune's route elicits more intrigue than outward emotion from me, which makes it different from the other ones.Oh really? What song, and how so?

| Archelirion Haha, Rin blushing and smiling is probably my favourite thing in the whole game. And yeah, the final scene at the top of the hill is just perfect :D Lilly's is good for when I need cheering up, just a thoroughly good, warm love story that makes me go all mushy and shizz.I actually like Shizune's route, I think the way it's written is clever, right down to it's layout. Has a lot of replay value in my opinion. Hanako's is probably my least favourite, which always gets a fun reaction ;)

| Judio! Um, I couldn't really tell you what the notes are for guitar to be honest. Tours of the Bleak was made entirely with programs and software instruments. I figured out the riff on my bass clarinet but I don't think the notes for that instrument are the same as the guitar.

| mandan It's all about popularity really, when you get down to it.

| mandan Queensryche sadly doesn't seem to be appreciated much on this site because many emphasize their latter-day stuff, which admittedly isn't on the same level as Mindcrime, Empire, Rage for Order or The Warning. They get the cold shoulder a lot, something that doesn't happen as much with bands like Dream Theater for instance. DT will always be more popular, but I'll prob always be more of a Ryche guy. A shame how a band I worship so much gets so much flak, but that's life.
