 | Futures was jammin some sargeist from the glorious land of finland and thought of you pal m/
 | Futures too much jams not enough time brother. good talking again man, always got time for you.
 | Futures def both on the list, never listened to either before haha
 | Futures been branching out a little from my usual bubble this year, listened to black sabbath's discog and loved them. btw what are like your top 5 this year? gotta cram a bit before end of year haha and i trust you of course
 | Futures oh nice, didn't know that! their old stuff is still classic to me and sounds just as good as i remember as a kid. definitely doesn't seem like you're a huge thrash guy lol. i appreciate it a bit more now. got into megadeth and slayer recently actually.
 | Futures not bad at all! bit of a drive for me for shows and would have to go alone so it?s hard to make the effort, wanted to see opeth but had a small surgery put a hold on that. maybe next year i will go to some shows. oh actually i forgot i saw metallica with my best friend for his birthday in august, it was magical. first fav band for both of us and got us into metal so it was big.
 | Futures that?s kind of what i figured haha. is helsinki far for you?
 | Futures man that?s sweet, let me know how it was. you get many big shows like that over there?
 | Futures i'll be ok just been a tough year, very draining. that's awesome man! i'm sure they put on a great show. haven't listened to them in a bit. in finland?
 | Futures my man! i'm alright just out here survivin, taking it one day at a time. just tired of it all brother. i hope life has been treating you well friend. always makes my day to see you pop up here.
 | Futures great catching up with you man. missed it. if you ever want to chat about whatever, i'm always here. and recs of course, i trust your taste! also burzum- det som engang var rules hard.
 | Futures absolutely. traveling across europe has always something i wanted to do. scandinavia seems like the most picteresque place.
 | Futures maybe i should visit glorious finland haha. seems like a nice place.
 | Futures man that sounds like an incredible experience. la crosse is a nice place, friend went to college there. hope you come back sometime!
 | Futures oh wow that's awesome man haha. how was that roadtrip? i love wisconsin. i grew up near the milwaukee area but i'm up in central wisconsin rn. where did you visit here?
 | Futures yeah i've seen they kinda do their own thing with what they play haha. man hope i get to see them someday. them, radiohead and opeth gotta see (so sput lol). really did not expect opeth to come to wisconsin of all places so i'm definitely going to try and go.
 | Futures yessss definitely my pick too. did they play any skinny fists or f#a# live?
 | Futures i actually feel the same way used to have it neck and neck with the best but yeah still incredible and would easily be any other bands crowning achievement. skinny fists will always be the goat for me. i think it's the best album ever made.
 | Futures super pumped to get to those albums. only heard the s/t and aske. i actually really dug the two ambient tracks on s/t so those two albums should be up my ally. also new darkthrone today, excited to jam that. i'll definitely check the godspeed out sometime but i gotta be in the mood. you revist yanqui? always felt that was underrated even if it's more traditional post rock.
 | Futures yeah i get emperor not being for everyone but just clicks with me. very tasteful symphonic stuff not overblown. yeah burzum is great stuff excited to continue my discog run. my journey to the stars is such an incredible song. godspeed of course the best band ever lol. i actually never bothered with their last two for some reason, i gotta check them out.
 | Futures on a black metal kick rn. getting to some classics with fresh eyes like emperor and burzum. loved the new ihsahn solo album too. also a bit of deathgrind aborted and benighted. i can never stay in one genre for too long, i get bored haha. how about you man? anything from this year you digging?
 | Futures thanks man i really appreciate it. i was definitely an ass a lot back in the day but yeah that was just a bad time. mocking someone with cancer and saying i was faking it definitely wouldn't fly now haha. been almost 9 years since i was diagnosed crazy. it's been brutal but i'm thankful to still be here. and all this downtime the past few months made me rediscover my love for music, jamming like i was back in the day. always loved chatting with you man and glad you're well.
 | Futures that's great to hear man. i miss the good ol days. i remember chatting on facebook haha. yep finally decided to become active again. life is pain lol. cancer s***. long story short came back last year, did special radiation treatment for six weeks away from home then caught a really bad case of pneumonia as a reaction. just getting over it now after over two months and being hospitalized once. wish i had fun stuff to talk about when people ask what i've been up to haha
 | Futures dude! you live. hope you've been well friend.
 | Flugmorph thank you so much for the congratulations fellow struggler, this certainly is my lifes work.
 | Flugmorph damn artuma hope youre doing good after i brutally defeated you in both the comment count and list count arenas, must hurt so much rn but im here for you it doesnt actually matter much love kekek
 | ToSmokMuzyki i dont remember either but i see your wanting to mort all the time so
 | Mongi123 I?ve been good man honestly just working and trying to make a life for myself. How are you?
 | Mongi123 Fun fact my dude a new Holy Fawn is out if you?re interested ?
 | Mongi123 I honestly really like Infinite Granite and with the exception of Mombasa it?s definitely one of their most superficial albums.
 | Mongi123 It?s definitely Mongicore but glad you like it haha. I did really enjoy what DH put out last time but Death Spells feels like it?s the album DH wanted to make but feel flat in some areas.
 | Mongi123 Yeah it?s great. Been growing into my full time job and been really into this band Holy Fawn. You should try their album Death Spells it?s amazing.
 | Mongi123 Yeahhh you gotta love when it feels like an artist like Gospel never left. How you doing lately Art?
 | TalonsOfFire Hey Art, I made a list of my all time favorite songs if you were interested: list.php?listid=199040
 | Mongi123 Yeahhh I love Wolfe and especially Converge but idk I guess they?re not a good much. I?m just not used to a really slow converge album. Just because two artists are amazing doesn?t mean they?d mesh together
 | Mongi123 Interesting we?re kinda on the same page for Bloodmoon and Wildhund haha
 | Mongi123 Good man now go bask in its emotional beauty ASAP.
 | Mongi123 Idk if you know but there?s a new Hammock out my friend!
 | Mongi123 No I haven?t but yeah it weirdly earns their description of themselves. The first movement of the final track is so gorgeous I?ve never heard anything like it
 | Mongi123 Ayy look at that we?re Suffocate For Fake Sake 5 buddies
 | Lichtmensch Hey. No, the name is inspired by the Der Weg Einer Freiheit song of the same title.
 | Aberf I'm jamming hard rn. Gonna check the essentials first before jumping into your rec.
 | Aberf https://www.sputnikmusic.com/bands/Yaphet-Kotto/6893/
 | Aberf I accidentally removed your shout lmao. Damn phone! So what the name of that european stuff again?
 | Aberf Not necessarily, but anything without metalcore guitar tone is great.
 | Aberf I need to jam more skramz, pls rec me some specific albums.
 | doomkitsu however i'm sensing it's not better than their previous two, so those might be a good place to start
 | doomkitsu new blacklisters is out, so if ur into mean and fun noise rock check for that monster http://blacklisters.bandcamp.com/album/fantastic-man
 | doomkitsu not gonna redirect u to my new album bc ur gonna hate it, but glad ur still around boy
 | Mongi123 Gotta say, the Deer Leap side is faaaaar superior for me, but that split is absolutely glorious!
 | Mongi123 Dang sorry to hear that. That?s like one of my fav vocal performances ever. Everything about that records is just so good.
 | Mongi123 Oooo dat Underoath rating hurts meh soul
 | Mongi123 I went in kinda expecting a City Of Caterpillar kinda band, which would be awesome but they?re a totally different beast. Man Rhythm is just outstanding.
 | Mongi123 Getting into that Envy life man I absolutely love them. And screw the haters disliking the new one I think it?s my fav so far. The slower more post rock driven songs are so god damn passionate and beautiful.
 | Demon of the Fall Hmm, that?s bad timing. Nice to know I?m being ?stalked? though, curious (lol).
 | Demon of the Fall The whole point of not commenting in the thread is getting away with not justifying it, ha. More importantly, how did you notice so quickly?
 | Sniff It's my chiptune it's on bandcamp as of last friday
 | Sniff Dont forget about new Näsvikensmaffian
 | OmairSh I know right, corona is all the rage atm. Cities are becoming ghost towns, people crazily overstocking, its like movie s***. I guess we'll have time to listen to more music and watch stuff. Cool man, if anything I'd recommend checking out songs #1, 5, 21
 | OmairSh Hey Artuma, how've you been man? Long time. I don't frequent as many common threads as we used to haha. I have a new Pakistani music list up if you're interested in listening to rock with the cultural touch to it https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=673174
 | Mongi123 Dude Wildblood, Flowers Of Light and Collapser all rank with their best. Flowers talk about inspiring and amazing musicianship.
 | Mongi123 Niiice Caspian rating dude. Any fav tracks?
 | parksungjoon https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?listid=190800
 | TalonsOfFire He?s so consistent, making some of his best stuff now too. You heard Ghosteen?
 | Mongi123 Niiiice Hammock rating man. My fav is Universalis in the trilogy but this one is definitely their most focused one of them. The strings sound so centric too.
 | Sniff Ya easy 7.4/5. They were even more of a freight train to the face this time around
 | Sniff The one you just went to sir
 | Sniff How'd you rate the show?
 | Mongi123 New hammock in case you didn?t know man! One of their most focused and cohesive yet.
 | Mongi123 Im so jealous you?re seeing them. I?m sure their shows are insane!
 | Mongi123 Damn man 5 for A Dawn To Fear as well? I feel you man, what a goddamn record. Lights On The Hill nearly makes me weep.
 | DDDeftoneDDD ahahaha true Art...It was stupid joke (15 year old one maybe?) of mine about a storm in a teacup is being made about Cory's statement.
 | DDDeftoneDDD LMAO where's Storminateacup when we need him? X)
 | DDDeftoneDDD TKS dude...site is blocked at work...gonna check on the phone lol
 | DDDeftoneDDD Hi Art. Where can I check that tweet (I use no tweeter at work or whatsoever lol) or the discussion about Cory's statements, or the debate of it? TKS
 | wacknizzle Thanks for checking it out. I?m glad you enjoyed it! Would you like a free download link?
 | wacknizzle Hey dude, my band has a new album coming out on September 20th. It's kinda of a mix of hardcore and blackened death metal. We have a pre-order up on bandcamp if you wanna check it out. If you like what you hear and maybe wanna do a review I can email you a streaming link. https://vnfvrl.bandcamp.com/album/the-waking-void
 | Mongi123 Nice S=Y rating. Such a seriously underrated album.
 | Mongi123 And your life is better for it. Better late than never though!
 | Mongi123 Cool man, of course State Faults is another big one.
 | Mongi123 Yea man they're criminally underrated. It's another case of where has this band been all my life haha. Love when another band like that comes into my life.
 | Mongi123 Another rec man, listen to Skin Of The Night off Saturday=Youth from M83 omg is gorgeous.
 | Glad you love it! Moonchild, Teen Angst, Guitar And A Heart and the closer are stunning
 | Mongi123 Jam Teen Angst from Before The Dawn Heals Us. Such an emotional song. I recommend the entire thing honestly it?s more emotive than Hurry Up, even though I might like Hurry Up a little better.
 | Mongi123 Didn?t know you liked M83 man sweet! I?ve been sooooo hooked and addicted to his stuff.
 | Kaiwaz aw cmon man! It's cool though, I just thought of you earlier when we had a song rec going on, just thought I'd ask
 | Kaiwaz https://discord.gg/NdXvAG
 | Kaiwaz wanna come do listening partied with us? it's user pick genre for 30 min and it's awesome, lemme know.
 | Demon of the Fall Damn, you found that quickly... been holding off rating it for ages, spun it several times now and it just confuses me.
 | dmathias52 Your album to review is Strange and Ever-Chaning Depths by Narco Debut! This is the one I put up, a cool prog/alt-rock album. Hope you have fun with it!
 | Mongi123 I'm so glad we're on the same page with State Faults Arty. Since I don't listen to much, just using the general term "screamo," it's different than most?
 | Sniff WHY DO WE WORRY ABOUT WHAT IS REAL
 | Mongi123 There are certain thick accents I think don?t sound great when sung and that?s a thick ass Australian one haha music is very fun and lyrics are good. Different strokes though pal.
 | Mongi123 He has an accent and voice that makes me wanna cut my ears off. Not my cup of tea lol
 | mindleviticus **** i'm a moron i thought I had over 4000 ratings but remembered i got rid of them all lol.
 | mindleviticus i've heard all their stuff before a while ago they're super good
 | mindleviticus Sludgy, Proggy, intense and one hell of a ride. I'm not surprised that Amenra is becoming more popular; their discography is too damn awesome to not be recognized
 | mindleviticus at work bro need a good rec, can you hook a brother up with something real good?
 | BigPleb Leaves Turn Inside You? Quality album! Just in work man, only on a half day today so things are guuurdddddd m/
 | Hawks Not a problem! Wouldn?t post in the thread now cause Sach is ruining it but I?m def eager to hear what you think. Let me know!
 | Hawks Idk if you?re into Cara Neir at all but it seems like something you?d love. Check my review for their new album.
 | Mongi123 Yea man it?s literally meditation incarnate I love it.
 | TalonsOfFire Hey Art have you listened to No More Shall We Part? It's Nick Cave's best
 | Mongi123 You try any of their recent eps, specifically Floating World? Just incredible.
 | Mongi123 Yea I?d probably try that one. At least a new Hammock is coming out next month! Always a welcome.
 | Mongi123 Nice have fun. From the looks of their tags they wouldn?t be my thing haha. But I gotta try more Nick Cave as well. Skeleton Tree is lyrically moving and profound but musically doesn?t do as much for me as I?d want it to. I?m sure he has tons of variety.
 | Mongi123 I?ve been so hooked on Death Cab For Cutie, the new Rolo Tomassi, the new Haken, been bingeing some Converge, Dillinger And Cave In too. What about you?
 | Mongi123 Nice to hear man. Same here, just getting through school and stuff. Getting into a lot more music.
 | Mongi123 Art brotha how you been man? How?s Finnish life treating ya?
 | Darius The Imposter hahah thanks. i really have to give credit to sput for opening my eyes up to music i never thought i wouldve liked otherwise before joining here. made me a lot more open minded
 | Kaiwaz Join us up bby. https://discord.gg/ky9bsFU
 | Sowing that appears to be the case...yo, noble soldier is already one of my favorite songs this year
 | suk6er7l7p yeah yeah just chuggin along. finally got a proper psychiatric diagnosis so i know i'm bipolar mdd anxiety at this point.... working on an art project atm (my one list on this account is me shamelessly asking for pledges lmao). otherwise, life is as life does. anything special happening in your part of the world?
 | Darius The Imposter you can prob guess from my shout box but if you have any recs ill be glad to take them
 | pypypymble shiet why is in remission by the menzingers so good
 | pypypymble like it's all good, nice physique, discipline, but i wanna see a team play football too, not wait for a chance that will be eventually provided, pass to dzyuba, literally the only noticeable thing that we tried to do, started using fernandes there for a monent tho but it was more of avwow u guys kno how else it can be done thing, there are a lot of fantastic players in our squad but that's a bulls*** way of getting the results
 | pypypymble as for the wc thanks but i'm glad we didn't go further, i really didn't like the way we were playing
 | pypypymble i don't actually care about the rating in the way that it always seem that i do and it's more of a 2015 (or what year was that) vs 2018 thing, just thought it'd be fun to get yr opinion again
 | pypypymble it's been quite a while since you heard brokelords, would be super sweet if u take yr time to listen to my new electronic alb and told me how it is now, thxx http://soiliveinnetherlandsright.bandcamp.com/album/ok-yeah-alright-cool
 | Sniff Would've been great but I've bought a fishing license for 250 kr tonight. Need to make the most of it
 | Sniff Yah real life and stuff right? It's goodgood. Spending time in Lappland this summer
 | Sniff oh yes the mighty Artwomeetwo how you doing?
 | oh yes the wigger years
 | pypypymble well you can always turn it off lol, but ye i think you can hear me playing old stuff like what on the 2nd track lmao, still a lot to take in and it's unpleasant but in a different way, just give it a try
 | pypypymble check out my new album when you have time, might be a lil bit more up yer alley? i dunno http://poleyounger.bandcamp.com/album/just-lock-your-jaws-against-my-skin-already
 | Mongi123 Haha yea! GIAA is a huge disappointment for me because the music is awesome but the production is so so awful.
 | Mongi123 Correct GIAA and Hammock ratings brotha!
 | Flugmorph life is wizzing along at incredible speeds
 | Gnocchi You gonna vote or na? I thought you wanted March madness
 | Mongi123 Awesome man that?s great! And yea just working on school myself, and jamming lots of new stuff it?s exciting. Been really into proggy stuff like The Contortionist, Leprous and Thank You Scientist lately.
 | Mongi123 What?s good Art, long time no talk. Nice Bowie ratings!

 | CaimanJesus I had an account and posted on the Jets board/lounge until about 2014, when I got myself banned by making fun if Cory Monteith. Still use it for hockey news

 | theBoneyKing Yeah I've actually been wanting to hear that, I dl'ed it recently but haven't given it a spin yet.
 | theBoneyKing It just feels kind of lazy to me... Unlike Kevin Shields' careful layering and sampling of noise and texture The Goslings just kind of sound like someone raping a guitar and banging randomly on drums while wailing in the background. If you dig it though that's fine of course, again it just doesn't appeal to my tastes. I had hoped it might help expand my taste a bit, alas no.
 | theBoneyKing I don't know why I expected to like them. I was intrigued by the shoegaze tag they get but the noise was too much for me. I gave it a fair few listens and it did have some novelty enjoyability at first but I listened to it just enough that that wore off and the album honestly started to make me feel kind of sick while listening to it. Ultimately I didn't feel there was much depth or good songwriting beneath the surface noise so it failed on that front too. I see the appeal but it's not for me.
 | Dewinged lol as i thought, well then **** it (:
 | Dewinged Oh damn, lol Ok I see, yeah I would keep that name out of the list. My joke wasn't that good either, so sorry about it man. You sure don't wanna change it? I am good if you're good.
 | Dewinged Yo man, I am not kidding, I didn't get the joke, what was it? I can edit/delete whatever u don't like, no prob.
 | Dewinged Yeah Art, I mean, I still found a good chunk of music I dig that I would have probably missed though. Hitting half a year now I am gonna start what I baptized as "The Purge", which is basically getting rid of all the s*** that I have accumulated in these very busy 6 months. I will probably slow down the rest of the year, because this was, as we have came to conclusion, a very stupid idea lol
