  • DoofusWainwright Gave both that and ?AH? second listens today - and put up two 4/5 ratings. Need to listen to both a few more times before I know how they compare to ?Jordan? and ?McQueen?

  • Frippertronics Added this, it's the first two PS singles, although it's a 1984 reissue which brought them together.

  • Frippertronics Pearly Gates will make u a sad bastard guaranteed

  • Frippertronics Not gonna hype it up too much, but Jordan review sometime this week. Been thinking up ideas since I first heard it in March and it's due time I get it out there.
    November 30 11:10 PM
  • DoofusWainwright Ok, I've only listened to the songs available on LastFM but I'm already awarding the Paddy album a 5. Epic first tune even channels some 'Ocarina of Time', highly nostalgic quality to that one. Goping to snap up a physical copy of the album hopefully.
    November 30 06:35 AM
  • Frippertronics really now? must've not noticed
    November 27 02:38 PM
  • DoofusWainwright Just chucked it on my RYM wishlist, thanks

  • Frippertronics It's time, my boy...5 Jordan: The Comeback by Prefab Sprout..
    November 27 03:59 AM
  • TVC15 I think you'd really dig the album Black Magick SS released this year. Old school psych rock with bm influenced vox with organ/vocal melodies and production that sound like it was recorded in a Church
    November 23 12:06 AM
  • foxblood yeah it was really good. the track at 23 min is great. solid production throughout. i rec that u check out Masayoshi Takanaka - An Insatiable High. it's a little earlier so it's more straight forward jazz but my god the japanese have some hidden fire. Casiopea's first album is another good one.
    November 21 12:15 PM
  • foxblood i'm listening to Toshiki Kadomatsu this is great. sick guitar
    November 21 10:43 AM
  • TVC15 Shot you an email few days ago so you'd also have my email as well
    November 14 09:10 PM
  • foxblood nice Ann Steel 5.
    November 14 04:33 PM
  • TVC15 Hey dude, what's your email?
    November 11 05:04 PM
  • CaptainDooRight im pretty sure I took it off the internet
    November 9 10:17 AM
  • Papa Universe yeah okay, I love the strangeness of it all, the execution is a little amateurish and extremely messy, although there is a charm in that. again, the weird, off-kilter instrumentation. kinda caught me offguard, well done
    November 6 05:26 PM
  • Papa Universe eh fine
    November 6 04:51 PM
  • DoofusWainwright Will check, thanks

    October 28 12:29 AM
  • TVC15 This is the demo, all tracks. The title track is the only one with proper Live drums, however.
    October 22 07:01 PM
  • TVC15 Hmmm... I don't have FL and I find Reaper hard to use and I've tried and failed to program blast beats on my Garageband app on my iPad... Would you mind programming them for me? This would be for my bm demo that I've showed you a few months ago.
    October 22 05:40 PM
  • TVC15 Hey man... Dyou know any decent way to program drums for black metal?
    October 22 04:30 PM
  • SandwichBubble did you give your rec yet?
    October 8 08:33 PM
  • DoofusWainwright I did prefer the more groove orientated approach on your Coleman rec compared to the freeform approach. Will try and give it a second go sometime soon, for now I'm happy putting up a 3.5.
    October 6 09:36 AM
  • DoofusWainwright Thanks, will give it a go - I didn?t like the free jazz Coleman album but if this ones different can?t see why I shouldn?t at least try it
    October 4 09:17 AM
  • Frippertronics okay since I missed the date and honestly wasn't probably going to make it in the first place, the album was Cobra and Phases although a quick google search probably would've made it obvious or something
    September 29 01:46 AM
  • foxblood yo Intestinal Disgorge are awesome, 'Sonic Shrapnel' is good. i recommend their split 'the Abysmal Morgue'. It's not as abstract as Sonic but it's very unique, has violin, clarinet, trombone, etc. I need to check their other stuff.
    September 25 05:37 PM
  • DoofusWainwright Check my latest rec list, I'm 100% sure you won't let me down Mr Sput King of Obscure 80s
    September 21 05:36 AM
  • Frippertronics although if you really ought to know, it's the number one album on my most played albums this week on my (rip integration)
    September 20 11:29 PM
  • Frippertronics a secret, although it has a pretty low average in comparison to prior and subsequent albums that are more popular within its fanbase and was absolutely panned when it came out
    September 20 11:28 PM
  • Frippertronics next week, on the 27th for this record's 18th birthday, expect something (a five review to end all five reviews)
    September 20 06:20 AM

  • Animadversion i really enjoyed your latest ep! i was completely immersed in it but it's just 15 minutes long, so it leaves me wanting more!and since you studied allegro's work, do you personnally believe his theories? from what little i've read about it, it seems plausible to me (but idk, my knowledge of christianity is quite limited, im planning on reading attentively the whole bible but ive only read the first 2 books so far...)
    August 28 10:17 AM
  • Animadversion the artwork is sick!! ill listen to it asap! never heard of allegro, his work sounds interesting, i might check it out too.
    August 21 09:36 AM
  • TVC15 The only live instruments were on the opener which was a drum outtake for my impending bm demo looped and increasingly distorted then guitar feedback on 441100. All the samples are just stacked recordings of number station broadcasts. Glad you enjoyed it :)
    August 20 11:20 PM
  • TVC15 What'd you think?
    August 20 08:46 PM
  • TVC15 I made a harsh noise wall album with utilizations of number station broadcasts if you're into that. It's my latest list on Sput here
    August 16 05:31 PM
  • TVC15 Enjoyed your EP a fair bit, though I feel I should familiarize myself with Allegro a little more to fully understand the concept more. Does King Green or CtA have any more music in the vein of this or just the last King Green EP? Would love to hear more of this nightmarish jazzgrind sound from you and your band(s)
    August 15 10:46 AM
  • Evokaphile man that album is a ****ing challenge. Its a 3.5 for me cuz I don't even like it when I'm listening to it, but the effect is has on my spirit and mind afterward is what makes it great. Its very transformative.
    August 14 09:45 PM
  • TVC15 Hype
    August 14 12:30 PM
  • Evokaphile its painfully short track lengths that really hurt it in the end. Were they more fleshed out, if the ideas were more thoughtfully developed (i know i know its slam who cares), I'd probably enjoy it more than I did.
    August 13 08:37 PM
  • Evokaphile Oh I mean to 2.5 it lol, I actually haven't heard their first one, but I was far from impressed with this.
    August 13 08:29 PM
  • Evokaphile damn '99 eh? I dont usually enjoy electronic that old but ill give it a once-over eventually for sure
    August 13 03:38 PM
  • Evokaphile Nvm you already know that!
    August 13 12:22 PM
  • Evokaphile Been in the Ultimae record crates have we? :] Pollen is AES's best work Id definitely hit that one its one of the best electronic albums ever.
    August 13 12:21 PM
  • Jasdevi087 np :) I figured I needed to give at least one of your projects a listen this year since it seems like you're getting a lot more ambitious with them
    August 13 01:41 AM
  • TVC15 That was... strange in the most awesome way possible
    July 25 09:22 PM
  • Frippertronics super shameless shilling
    July 24 10:16 PM
  • Frippertronics for u, dude (vote for twelve songs, or an excuse to jam more enid)
    July 20 10:46 PM
  • TVC15 Thanks for the rec, excited to jam!
    July 20 10:13 AM
  • TVC15 Listening to Immodius Forms and I think it might actually be my favorite project of yours. Very belated small criticism of it that probably doesn't matter but I didn't notice till now how hard some portions of songs clip, just something that hasn't bothered me till now for some reason
    July 9 05:49 PM
  • TVC15 Those gargley gore/porno grind type vocals have never been my thing so that on top of the experimentation has been very hard for me to digest hah. I always appreciate how much you try to expand your sound and still maintain a distinct style
    July 9 03:45 PM
  • CaptainDooRight cool will def check
    July 3 07:11 PM
  • bnelso55 Thanks for the link!. I just checked it. Seriously challenging listen, man. It may be your most challenging yet. It's brutal and it's going to take time to sink in. The tracklist, especially the Larva trilogy, has me thinking there is a definite form to the music, so I'm going to keep my ears open for patterns or recurring ideas on my next listen.
    July 3 11:44 AM
  • TVC15 Oh s***. Hyped to jam your new EP!
    June 30 10:13 PM
  • Animadversion omg!! i love your last count to altek album!!! love the vocals, and the basslines are awesome and all. i definitly feel a great alchemy between all of you, and it creates a hauntingly sublime atmosphere!
    June 22 05:13 AM
  • Animadversion thx for the link to your latest album! gonna listen to it! the artwork is very unexcepted for a releas of yours, looks like something more electro i guess.
    June 16 05:16 AM
  • Frippertronics this sudden love of jordan: the comeback is why i keep coming to sput tbh
    June 12 01:34 AM
  • TVC15 Not sure about the way I mixed the vox on this:
    May 30 07:30 PM
  • TVC15 I'll be sure to check out the EP and the new album you just linked tonight cos now that I've graduated high school I got plenty time to listen to more music ;)
    May 26 10:03 PM
  • TVC15 Most bm I listen to and take inspiration from are from the first and second wave so I think that definitely affected the way I approached the vox. Thank you tho, if it's atmospheric then it definitely did its job... although I've gotten polarized feedback about them lol. Other half of the people I've shown didn't like them at all
    May 26 10:01 PM
  • TVC15 No sugar coating do I sound good or bad at bm vox:
    May 26 06:18 PM
  • TVC15 Best graduation gift Imma check asap
    May 26 06:17 PM
  • DoofusWainwright It's a great album, do you prefer it to 'Rock Bottom'?
    May 23 09:04 AM
  • TVC15 Oh hey I think you might like Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygene album. Brilliant ambient album from 1976 that doesn't sound like it was recorded in 1976
    May 19 10:56 PM
  • TVC15 Wtf HYPE
    May 19 10:54 PM
  • CaptainDooRight I sure can. I'm gonna be traveling outside the country on a cruise till the 29th so I may not have internet till then but if the offer is available when I get back I'm totally down. Just shoutbox me bro. Thanks for posting the news article!

  • TVC15 They Did This to Me is starting to grow tho
    May 4 10:55 PM
  • TVC15 I feel like World either has too much filler or the ambient tracks could have just been combined just to make a more cohesive listen. Stuff like the title track also sound unfinished to me too
    May 4 10:55 PM
  • TVC15 And a 2.5 for The Holy Bible? Awwww
    May 2 09:32 AM
  • TVC15 Ah yeah unfortunately. Just found Invasion Discog a little too scatterbrained and like I said in my comment on the album, just felt like an inferior version of Altared States of America. I think They Did This To Me is pretty good too, just need some time for it to sink in. It's much more subtle compared to their other albums
    May 2 09:32 AM
  • TVC15 Hey man, I'm extremely happy you got me into Gigantic Brain! I'm currently attempting to dig into their discog as well so I'm excited to see how these other albums stack up
    April 30 06:36 PM
  • CaptainDooRight Oh yeah that album is excellent! I'm doing great. Doing some real life music collaborations atm while still doing my solo work. I'm performing a live show next Saturday. First show I've done in several years. Nervous and excited. I hope all is well with you. Nice profile pic

    April 12 07:35 PM
  • Papa Universe So I've heard you new album and...well, let's just say that you'll like my feedback approximately as much as I like your album...
    April 6 04:31 AM
  • bgillesp No problem. And I wish you the best of luck too! I just felt like it deserved an honest opinion that you can take however you like. I know several other users have given your music higher ratings so don't let mine discourage you. Also, you have killer album art.
    April 3 07:46 PM
  • mindleviticus yea man it's your best work
    April 3 01:09 PM

    April 2 12:30 PM
  • Jasdevi087 ooh, nice album art. Songs look like a digestible length too. I'll have to find time sometime, uni's making listening to music a bit of a bitch
    April 1 10:07 PM
  • Animadversion it's a pleasant coincidence that i listened to your last album just after listening for the thousandth time to maudlin of the well's bath. i can definitly spot the infuence! at first, i didn't really like the first track... so i was a bit afraid for the rest, as that kind of "metal" isn't usually my thing... but i actually enjoyed most of the album! i especially loved "librarian" and "sangheili chant", and the overall guitar work, and the closer track also. perfect closer!
    March 19 01:28 PM
  • Jasdevi087 been so long since i've listened to Turbulence
    March 18 10:38 PM
  • Animadversion thanks!! gonna listen asap! is see that all the songs are pretty short... is that you going pop??
    March 15 02:46 PM
  • bnelso55 Thanks! Actually jammed it when the news article posted. Good work! My first impressions were all positive. I just need to listen to it some more to let it sink in. I always appreciate the challenge of leaving my comfort zone that comes with absorbing your music.
    March 15 02:07 PM
  • CaptainDooRight There were many moments that clicked with me. Some moments felt perfect.
    March 13 09:18 PM
  • TheSpaceMan haha i'm just teasing, honesty is the best policy and all. i love the band though lmao
    March 2 12:00 PM
  • TheSpaceMan "Spacemen 3 - Taking Drugs - 2.5" awww that makes me sad ):
    March 1 01:13 AM
  • CaptainDooRight Sorry I meant to say GarageBand the whole time lol. I got my words mixed up hahaha. That's exactly what I meant
    February 25 03:38 PM
  • CaptainDooRight The instruments sound like band camp instrument
    February 25 04:02 AM
  • CaptainDooRight sweet artwork, i can tell the music was made on the bandcamp as im very familiar with its tones, the music sounds chill
    February 22 10:57 AM

    February 15 08:18 PM
  • AdolfChrist A 5 for Driving My Fist Through Her Chest? Im just as baffled as you are.
    February 15 05:31 PM
  • TVC15 That King Green album is... a challenging listen and I mean that in a good way. I think it will grow on me with more listens but for a song that's 30 plus minutes it's really cool that it doesn't once lose any steam
    February 11 03:20 PM
  • Animadversion after 1st listen of your last album, im not quite sure what to make of it yet tbh. i enjoyed most of it but with a song of that length, it's often hard to digest, so i need other listens. one thing tho: i think it's a choice of yours, but the fact that the drums are really loud compared to the other instruments (even tho i love the drums) disconcerts me. it still kept me interested throughout so it's pretty good. n i particularly liked the ambient feel around 30min!
    February 7 05:01 AM
  • CaptainDooRight i didnt get a chance to jam it in full but from the 80% I listened to it sounded pretty good, i liked the psych and zoney vibes and drums were pretty enjoyable :]
    February 6 02:17 PM
  • Animadversion thanks for the link, gonna listen to this! btw if you haven't listened to in:sanity by the 360 degree music experience, you should do it. im sure you'll love it!
    February 6 06:07 AM
  • modpack nice to see you getting into intestinal disgorge tbh
    February 5 11:53 PM
  • TVC15 Thanks a ton for the link, I'll listen to it when I'm less preoccupied by school :]
    February 5 10:01 PM
  • Jasdevi087 I wasn't quite as satisfied with it as I hoped I would be overall, but I do love the parts where they got it right. The main reason I wanted to hear it is because I'm so impressed with how dark Peter Steele's voice was and how impressively he projected in the bass register
    February 2 01:09 AM
  • SynapticPlasticity your username is amazing, that is alldid you also consider ScaleTheLeaders?
    January 26 12:34 PM

  • mindleviticus nice man. i gotta do a report anyway this will be good writing music
    January 4 12:41 PM
  • CaptainDooRight His debut brilliant trees is prolly his best imo tho
    January 4 02:44 AM
  • CaptainDooRight The first track taking the veil is the best track on it. The rest are kinda ambient and diff
    January 4 02:41 AM
  • CaptainDooRight Dude the David Sylvian - Gone to earth album is legit. Jam it hard bruh
    January 4 02:37 AM
  • CaptainDooRight Yeah man sounds good. Don't lose those vox skilled. I've typically never really good into music that supports that vox style but you've managed to make it completely palatable. Your focus on atmosphere over trying to just sound 'hard' has paid off!
    January 4 02:10 AM
  • CaptainDooRight oh cool, i didn't know u were skilled in the vox like that bra, nice work!!
    January 3 11:15 AM
  • bnelso55 Cool! I'll check it out! Thank you for keeping me in the loop.
    January 3 10:59 AM
  • CaptainDooRight What instruments or vox did you do on the new album?
    January 3 09:38 AM
  • CaptainDooRight Bro I'm on the third track and I gotta say those first two tracks really gel'd with me. Really hit my emotions and made me really zone into it. Super good. The drummer is really good and I like how everyone feeds off each other. Jam sessions were my fav thing back in the days with friends and I feel you really capture that esssense I enjoy but you provide more enjoyable aspects on top of it
    January 1 10:50 PM
  • Jasdevi087 I swear my first album of every year is always one of yours lol
    January 1 10:00 PM
  • CaptainDooRight Dude that sounds really interesting! I love you are comfortable with pushing music boundaries further. I'm looking forward to hearing it. I have some experimental music I'm working on too under Seed of Nothing but it may be a while.
    December 24 09:19 PM
  • CaptainDooRight Awesome I'm glad you had a chance to check it out and I'm glad you like it. I love that album; one of my favs. Have you been working on some new music?
    December 24 12:26 AM
  • CaptainDooRight Thanks bro and I yours. I think you may like that album because it's pretty unique and satisfying at least to me.
    December 22 01:15 PM
  • CaptainDooRight Have you heard Jacaszek - Treny?
    December 22 02:05 AM
  • CaptainDooRight Dude I'm digging your ratings hard. Gotta jam some of your 5's
    December 22 01:54 AM
  • CaptainDooRight Thanks for that detailed feedback bro! I used GarageBand for the help on the oriental midi instruments
    December 22 01:51 AM
  • CaptainDooRight Sent you 2wo or tree emailz
    December 21 12:31 PM
  • CaptainDooRight Hey bro what's ur email. Wanted to send you this improv track I'm working on for your feedback
    December 20 01:30 AM
  • bnelso55 You're welcome! The best King Green stuff stokes my imagination, so putting a review together is pretty fun because I get to convey a little of the imagery I get while listening to the music.
    December 6 09:30 AM
  • RosaParks yeah actually
    December 6 05:33 AM
  • RosaParks new gambino isn't hip hop my friend. u seem confused in ur sound off. js
    December 4 10:50 PM
  • TheSpaceMan thats my favorite aspect about them, and partly why i think strange times is my favorite of theirs
    December 2 09:41 PM
  • bnelso55 Excellent. That definitely helps me. Thank you. I jammed the record a few times today and I already have some ideas. I'll listen a little more and pull something together next week.
    December 2 07:39 PM
  • bnelso55 Sure, man! Thank you for asking. I'll get to work. It just might take me a little time. I'll try to have it ready by next week. Is there anything in particular you'd like to emphasize about this record? Anything that you feel makes it stand out in your discography? Did you take any new compositional approaches?
    December 2 03:50 PM
  • TheSpaceMan thank you thank you thank you THANK YOU for liking the chameleons (:
    December 2 12:03 AM
  • CaptainDooRight :::)))
    November 28 11:41 AM
  • CaptainDooRight Oh and hey I remember you said the drums on my album didn't really gel with you. I should have explained it in the description. The drums were purposefully made that way. It was inspired from paysage. I wanted to make them damp, dissonant. Serving as atmosphere so as not to try detract from the atmosphere rather to support it. Whether I succeeded or not I don't know but at the time I completed everything came out exactly how I wanted it. Don't think I'll do it again as I'm writing a differentone
    November 27 01:37 PM
  • CaptainDooRight Jacaszek - Treny - since you like avant garde you might like this album. I dig it hard.
    November 27 03:58 AM
  • DoofusWainwright I also checked two songs from the Hirasawa Sim City, I can see what you mean about the atmosphere. I'll try and pick up a copy from somewhere, I like tracking down the more unusual albums I like
    November 22 10:21 AM
  • DoofusWainwright The original had one song on it that was removed for the revised version (guess it was too uptempo, only listened to it a few times) and the new version adds two songs (Yonderhead and For Now, which are excellent). The new one might have had other parts added to individual songs I'm not sure, but I'd say try the revised version first.
    November 22 10:16 AM
  • DoofusWainwright Not sure if you've checked it already but the Thomas Feiner 'opiates revised' album is a must for a Sylvian fan
    November 21 02:01 PM

  • CaptainDooRight Hey bro I wish I could help you there but I decided years ago to stop writing reviews. It's just not my thing and I don't really enjoy it anymore. I'm sorry. But good news I just uploaded my new album and it's available.

    November 17 12:17 PM

    November 12 10:47 PM

  • CaptainDooRight they were moved to 'Seed of Nothing' which is my side project. I'm going to be sending out a list soon explaining everything. Basically Trvth will be strictly my BM project and Seed of Nothing will be for all side/experimental other projects ect. I found it to be confusing having so many genres under one name so I split everything up my friend. Also good news a new album is under way. All the songs are done. 10 tracks. I just need to finish vocals one 1 track and finishing mixing.
    November 11 03:54 PM

    October 23 12:31 PM
  • Jasdevi087 ayy that's cool. Yeah I really enjoy that album, reminds me of dark purples and livid blues instead of your usual bright psychedelic hues

    September 20 12:03 AM
  • Jasdevi087 ikr? the dynamic is so different to their earlier stuff and it's unbelievable the difference the production makes. It somehow manages to be prettier than Eden.
    September 3 12:33 AM
  • bnelso55 Wow, "..Darkfire Illusion" has a pretty grim atmosphere, man! It made for a pretty intense listen. I'll need to revisit it a time or two to let it sink in, but it may be my new favorite from Millicent Waffles.
    August 31 09:47 AM
  • bnelso55 Nice. I think I missed this one. I'll give it a listen after I jam the new EP one more time. Keep up the good work!

    July 21 08:55 PM
  • ScuroFantasma Oh awesome, I'll jam it asap. Thanks for letting me know. So, anything cool you've been digging lately?
    July 21 06:46 PM
  • Frippertronics well someone wrote a bomb ass 5 review for Blemish, so I figure how about you take Gone to Earth and I'll handle Brilliant Trees?
    July 15 04:12 AM
  • Frippertronics considering you have GTE as a 5, that'd be cool to see. The ambient half of that is still growing on me. I do intend on getting through his discography, aside from the two art installation recordings, which I should probably relegate to the compilations or something as they're really not part of his main catalogue.
    July 14 01:15 AM
  • Frippertronics dude idk bout you, but I think I gotta rep Sylvian's discog. Late Night Shopping is so ****ing goood
    July 13 08:16 PM
  • MrSirLordGentleman Thanks for the link dude, I'll check it. Probs at the end of the week when I finish my finals haha. btw do you like Supertramp?
    July 4 10:23 AM
  • Lowder91bird Cool Type O Negative ratings by the way. I love those two albums. October Rust is a 4.5 for me and Bloody Kisses is probably either a 4.0 or a 3.5. I need to give it another listen at some point.
    July 1 10:29 PM
  • Lowder91bird Thanks for the link. I will listen to it as soon as I can. It might take a little while for me to get to it because I am leaving the country tomorrow to visit my family in Germany and I am probably going to have very limited internet access while I am over there. I am coming back to the states on the 23rd of July. I look forward to hearing the new album and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
    July 1 10:25 PM
