    February 19 01:09 PM

    February 19 10:46 AM
  • Drifter A Lil Some Em Some Em? Rip. Yeah I could do without the kid's rap but idk isn't that big a deal. Tell me that song with Short dog isn't a 6/5 tho. That beat omg
    February 18 05:59 PM
  • Drifter Love that Off Parole rating! Just bumped my rating to a 5 this morning. May go back down but either way it's amazing. That smooth g s*** all the way through.
    February 18 05:32 PM
  • Drifter Niceeeee need to check that album
    February 18 10:56 AM

  • necropig Haha true, not so much jpop/kpop but I do know about the stuff as lived in Japan for a bit. Listen to the rock and metal from there. My avatar is a kpop girl lolol
    February 17 12:18 PM
  • AnimalsAsSummit thankyou! you do as well
    February 15 11:28 AM
  • SteakByrnes Hell yea dude, it was great! I really wish Dylan would come up with some more projects because his voice is great
    February 14 06:11 PM
  • Drifter Will do man. I need more sac stuff since that's where I live/am from. Speaking of I Hate You With A Passion, I need to check The New Jim Jones.
    February 13 02:58 PM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe I can do a lot of the vocals, mainly gutturals and some gurgly BREEEREEs.
    February 13 11:01 AM
  • Drifter Oh my god..... This T-Nutty album is incredible. I need more of this experimental west coast s*** in my life asap.
    February 12 11:38 PM
  • GmemberKills word. I'm def gonna properly jam those prior albums, i kinda dug the disco vibes when i skimmed them even though it's a bit different. The b-sides to "sleep it off" are phenomenal as well. Hmmm Is Grace Jones worth checking even if it's a rip off? regardless I'm desperate more stuff like cristina, and lizzy mercier descloux.
    February 11 04:04 PM
  • GmemberKills yo i just got into the album cristina - sleep it off, and see that you are one of the few to even rate it. it's such a under the radar classic, can't believe it's not considered an essential 80s album.
    February 11 01:21 PM
  • brainmelter it is very exhausting though
    February 10 09:13 PM
  • brainmelter yeah honestly it grew on me a lot. I think you'll warm up to it a little, like the track 'Amongst Filth, Amongst Decay' sounds like you're getting sucked into a black hole molecule by molecule and the track 'The Sewers Beneath Us' at around 1:45 sounds like a Christian baby is about to be sacrificed to bring climax to a blood orgy
    February 10 09:11 PM
  • Hawks Sweeeeet I'll check it soon bro. m/
    February 10 08:02 PM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe Also, I'm working on another cybergrind album. I need a name... any suggestions? It has sound clips from recent memes and the movie "The Room". If that gives any ideas
    February 9 11:18 PM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe yeah, but I'm still learning to get better.
    February 9 11:16 PM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe Short and Sweet! I enjoyed it! Also here's a sh*tty cybergrind/noisegrind album I made... it's abysmal. https://soundcloud.com/deathpena/sets/rxmxixfxfxcxaxtxpx-rotten-smugma-indigestive-tract-vomit-full-album

    February 9 02:12 PM
  • brainmelter On my first couple of listens it sounded kind of incomprehensible tbh but eventually a lot of cool intricacies and small nuances show themselves. but I understand if it's not your cup of tea. thanks for taking the time to listen c:
    February 8 12:40 PM
  • zaruyache :3 I've never liked that kinda really raw stuff ;) maybe someday tho
    February 7 11:23 PM
  • butcherboy yea, the fact that this obvious rebranding of what a dull songwriter/pop musician is flying with people is sort of boggling..
    February 3 06:45 PM
  • Drifter Agreed
    January 29 05:15 PM
  • Drifter Damn haha sounds fun. Have you heard Computer Games? It's sooooo good dude.
    January 29 05:06 PM
  • Keyblade yea imma jam it tomorrow after work. dl'd the ep too cuz i didnt have it anymore
    January 29 03:38 PM
  • Keyblade yea that's what name your price means. i remember when u released it that was a barrier at the time for me to listen to it. i didnt have an active credit card so i couldnt buy it. i only streamed it a couple of times
    January 29 03:23 PM
  • Keyblade name your price. not sure if that's intentional...i'd happily buy it. that's rough man, i'm really sorry :[ . i dont really remember much about it, but i bet it's really powerful
    January 29 03:19 PM
  • Keyblade fck yea dude, cant wait to hear it. i need to properly jam blood moon too. actually i'll dl rn cuz it's nyp now damnn
    January 29 03:09 PM
  • Drifter Iirc I just found it boring. Been meaning yo return to it but I always forget
    January 28 01:00 PM
  • Drifter sup bro. jam any good west coast stuff recently?
    January 5 03:28 PM
  • Jacob818Hollows ALSO, downloading "Blood Moon" now. I love some good blackgaze, so I'm stoked to give it a listen!
    January 5 12:45 PM
  • Jacob818Hollows Have you given any of those Christian metalcore bands a listen? What do you think?
    January 5 12:44 PM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe tbh, when I first listened to them a few years ago, I thought they sucked, now I proudly listen to them. RIP seth
    December 28 10:59 PM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe it's just a base rating, I listened to it a little, but I plan to come back to it.
    December 28 10:06 PM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe Merry christmas! hope you are having a good one
    December 25 10:16 PM
  • sixdegrees I dont like to think that hard
    December 24 02:46 PM
  • Drifter Nah I've meant to for a while but never got around to it. I'll keep that in mind
    December 24 10:41 AM
  • SandwichBubble "the spoken word part on voice on the wind" read my mind exactly. Wasn't awful or anything and I like my spoken word stuff okay, but it just wasn't doing a lot for me. Music is top notch throughout though
    December 23 10:38 PM
  • SandwichBubble https://www.sputnikmusic.com/soundoff.php?albumid=110859 | here's my weird 60s rec for you this christmas
    December 23 10:24 PM
  • SandwichBubble I really enjoyed it, but some of the longer tracks dragged. Second half was much stronger than the first. Really good rec, thank you. :)
    December 23 10:21 PM
  • SandwichBubble I'll probably dig it if the cover's any indication. Thanks for the heads up!
    December 23 11:50 AM
  • Drifter Yeah a lot of east coast styled stuff is just boring to me. So many carbon copies of each other using the same repetitive sample or is just a ****ing upright bass with some s***ty sounding brass and BOOM classic. Oh well. Maybe I just don't get it. At least we have the west coast for them interesting and layered beats. Whatever. Glad you dug it though!
    December 22 10:36 PM
  • Drifter And by low I mean 3 and lower
    December 22 08:09 PM
  • Drifter All the low ratings are from people I rec'd it to too. Idk man it's ****ing dumb. It's like how do you think this is boring and the rapper is annoying when you like other east coast s*** that's objectively more boring with a rapper on top that's even more boring. Like one person said it was bad and then the rest followed along with that like it was because *I* rec'd it and i have bad taste. Hip hop plebs is what i call them. Ugh. Can you tell it pisses me off? Album's a damn classic
    December 22 08:08 PM
  • Drifter People Without Shoes - Thoughts of An Optimist
    December 22 06:33 PM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe You need to check out Fatuous Rump - Propagation of The Foul, it's really good
    December 18 06:51 AM
  • Drifter Results for my comp are innnnnnnnnn
    December 17 01:14 AM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe lol, it's literally bs.
    December 15 01:08 PM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe Get this, a couple of weeks ago, I ordered a Pighead - Until All Flesh Decays shirt, and my mom says "it's too gory". I paid for it, too. smh
    December 15 12:57 PM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe I want to get a Dysmorfectomy shirt, but they're sold out.
    December 15 12:51 PM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe You should check out: Dysmorfectomy - Hypothermal Dissectionhttps://realityfaderecords.bandcamp.com/album/hypothermal-dissection
    December 15 11:59 AM
  • SandwichBubble I'll definitely check Threshold before the AOTY ranking stuff is over. Not saying it'll make it, but I'll give it a chance to.
    December 15 11:35 AM
  • SandwichBubble Adorable cover art aside, it didn't do much for me. But I'm almost sure it was just fatigue from marathoning some of the discography. I'll probably relisten to it when I rerate them on RYM with a clearer mind.
    December 15 11:33 AM
  • SandwichBubble Those positive ratings on the new one make me interested to check, but I hope it's not too disappointing.
    December 15 11:24 AM
  • SandwichBubble Awwww :) Early six organs of admittance was my jam. Do you know if their newest is any good?
    December 15 11:17 AM
  • SandwichBubble If you mean albums from 2017, I'm still looking for last minute AOTYs, but right now it's Avey Tare - Eucalyptus. If you mean albums i've checked in 2017, it's probably Dave Bixby - Ode To Quetzalcoatl
    December 14 12:50 PM
  • SinNanna I checked your debut last evening, I thought it was very interesting!
    December 13 02:20 PM
  • SinNanna Oh, I would love to hear your folk influences, I'll check it out. I used to dabble into some bedroom Triphop and Ambient, but I've laid that project to rest for good. I'm currently working on a debut record for a group project with two friends. Sound-wise its going into a bit of an Industrial/Ambient direction with some dashes of Experimental/Post Rock and Black Metal, but a lot of tracks are still in early development so we'll see how far we will take it.
    December 11 04:42 PM
  • SinNanna No problem! I thought it was well executed, especially for a demo. Is there a reason why you didn't recommend me your album from 2015?
    December 11 04:06 PM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe Check out Carnivorous Eyaculation - Grotesque Inhuman Extermination
    December 10 09:55 AM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe Cease of breeding was pretty good
    December 10 09:49 AM
  • discovolante Well, I?ve never been much of a FGTH fan... at all. Which is weird cuz I?ve always liked new wave. I guess they were just too glitzy and... ehh... ?colorful? for me lol. And as for Cowboy Troy, yeah, he is pretty laughably bad loll.
    December 9 11:48 PM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe I'm familiar with Guttural Corpora Cavernosa, I've listened to their You Should Have Died When I Killed You album, and I'll check out cease of breeding
    December 9 08:52 PM
  • SinNanna And thanks, I've had my eye on it for quite a while and now that I'm in a big BM mood again I can finally check out some more records. I'll listen to yours too
    December 9 01:53 PM
  • SinNanna Yeah this is an alt, I've always felt more and more disconnected with my previous username as it was a name I came up with when I was 15 that I used by default, but I don't think anyone really knows me here because I wasn't very active on the boards. I've wanted to get into some writing for Sputnik as a hobby for a while now so that made me want to change the name even more as time went on, and above that it was a better way to clean up or change a lot of ratings.
    December 9 01:52 PM
  • Drifter ?
    December 9 11:31 AM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe I'm glad you enjoyed them, and I'll be sure to listen to Gorevent's other album today
    December 9 10:37 AM
  • Drifter Oh I'll def get to that soon as well! I love me some 4 tay
    December 9 10:10 AM
  • Drifter Oh s*** jt did the production? Man I'm definitely checking him out then
    December 9 09:54 AM
  • Drifter Yo I was thinking I'd have to adds d-moe to the db but nope you've heard Do You Feel Me haha. Sweet rating
    December 9 12:40 AM
  • Conmaniac only heard Tennessee I think...thanks for the rec man!
    December 7 07:15 PM
  • Drifter Can you think of any songs that sample the chorus to this song?? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6nglKfsDv5Q. Maybe in like a skit or something? I'm so mad because I know I've heard it somewhere but I can not for the life of me remember
    December 7 06:24 PM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe here's some great slam: https://incineratedflesh.bandcamp.com/album/murder-on-acid
    December 7 11:25 AM
  • TheSpirit next nameless coyote album when?

  • Drifter Also why'd that crazy lol. Also also here's what I've been told is slam and I really like it: https://bleedingspawn.bandcamp.com/album/pathogenic-mechanized-abomination. Not sure if it's actually good or not though. It's probably not but w/ever
    December 6 05:30 PM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe Here's some DANK SLAM: https://bongripsforjesus.bandcamp.com/
    December 6 12:59 PM
  • Drifter Yeah I added em a couple months ago lol. Here's the wiki page for t.a.: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Authority. They're pretty cool. Detroit rap. I've only heard their debut from 93
    December 6 12:55 PM
  • Drifter Have you ever listened to Top Authority?
    December 5 12:17 PM
  • Drifter I've only played 3, new Vegas, and 4 and I love all of them. New Vegas is my fav though. I know wayyyyyy to much about the game. Location of all base game skill books and all unique weapons from the base game and dlc. Almost all of the skill requitements/checks for dialogue, etc. I've actually gotten back into the game kinda recently and I'm doing my first play through in 3 years and I still remember a ton lol. On the last dlc currently and I'm just having a blast. Anyway yeah I love fallout lol
    December 5 12:09 PM
  • Drifter And yeah Big Iron is amazing
    December 5 10:09 AM
  • Drifter Haha I used to have it at a 4.5 but I lowered it over time just cuz I haven't heard it in a while. Been meaning to listen to it again
    December 5 10:08 AM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe I have one that's really good: Decimated Humans - To Provoke Genocide https://decimatedhumans.bandcamp.com/album/to-provoke-genocide
    December 5 07:30 AM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe Will do
    December 5 06:27 AM
  • Drifter Man you've gotta dig deeper. As a west coast fan you can not go on living without matw and killuminati. This is an early version of one of the songs from matw and its tied for my fav song of his as well: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1XRGDwoVBQg
    December 4 10:22 PM
  • Drifter Do you like pac
    December 4 06:09 PM
  • bloc Yep, I'm not surprised
    December 4 03:14 PM
  • bloc Hell yeah. Each song plays on a common controversial topic and it's a really cool album theme. Dunno why Part 2 was never a thing.
    December 4 11:12 AM
  • bloc Good God that album is sooooo underrated. The riffs are amazing, but the subject matter is actually serious stuff. And they pull it off really well. They kinda got a Rage Against the Machine kinda thing going
    December 4 11:02 AM
  • bloc Ah thanks man, both albums are quite underrated indeed.
    December 4 10:52 AM
  • bloc View at your own risk https://rateyourmusic.com/~bloc
    December 4 10:45 AM
  • bloc Are you sure? You might lose all respect for me haha
    December 4 10:40 AM
  • Drifter Haha, I do really love certain artists
    December 3 06:43 PM
  • Drifter I have my ratings again
    December 1 12:33 AM
  • ExecutiveExecuterexe Welding Torture are good, thanks for telling me about them
    November 29 06:50 AM
  • Drifter That's a highlight from each of them plus one more from the day shift that I love. That second one has I stg one of the best performances of Snoop's entire career.
    November 28 08:34 PM
  • Drifter albums and now he's in my top 10 favorite rappers lol. Anyway, check these if you're interested in that series: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EkFPjUyKilM, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FslmLloXgpM, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=X4I9BKSQ7dA, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ggyIsj6Xv88, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ONnxTLKXymQ
    November 28 08:32 PM
  • Drifter Man the Revenue Retrievin series bangs. It's got that post-hyphy sound (that's what I've seen people call it) and it just bangs to the moon. 4 albums in 2 years and it's so damn consistent. It's not perfect and sometimes loses focus but overall it's great. Day Shift is the whole reason I even like 40 lol. Before that, I'd 3'd every album I'd heard from him (Ghetto Report Card, Charlie Hustle, Block Brochure 1, and In A Major Way). After this, it made me go back and full appreciate his older
    November 28 08:27 PM
  • Drifter Will do man. I'm on a big e40 kick rn. Have you ever heard his Revenue Retrievin' series?
    November 28 12:38 PM
  • Drifter Damn just listened to Federal for the first time. Hella good as well. More amateur than major way but still dope. It's like each album he grew more and more into a mature artist and each bum evolved upon that old school mobb sound but each album also has it's own charm and likeness that make them stand out alone, but tread on familiar territory and can be listened to right after each other or shuffled without killing the vibe.
    November 27 11:32 PM
  • Drifter Haha sorry. Yeah man! s*** 40's always in rotation. In A Major Way is in my top 5 west coast rap albums and I just listened to Hall of Game for the first time earlier and it's like a more mature version of major way but it's so damn good as well. Shame how much he's slept on. Other than that, I'm always bumpin Pac and last week I was jammin r Kelly a tooonnnnnn I strongly suggest if you're ever in the mood to check more of his discog, he's so damn consistent.
    November 27 10:07 PM
  • Drifter I wipe my ratings a lot lol
    November 27 10:45 AM
  • Drifter Lmaooooooooooo
    November 27 10:28 AM
  • Drifter Those Kendrick Lamar ratings are whack
    November 27 10:17 AM
  • sixdegrees good call on A Brief History.... "Ginger" has got to be one of the best songs Kurt ever wrote
    November 22 01:23 PM
  • SandwichBubble That Sibylle Baier is fantastic, I used to have it at a 5.0 a little while ago. A review would be nice, for sure (not by me though). And thank you, my profile pic took all of 5 minutes to make and the demo part off Some Things is what bumped it to a 4.0, so good :)
    November 22 11:57 AM
  • AnimalsAsSummit agreed! glad you're jamming it man, criminally underrated on here, its such a gorgeous release
    November 21 11:48 AM
  • Keyblade haha. ur birthday is almost exactly 1 week before mine
    November 19 11:07 PM
  • AnimalsAsSummit thanks man, love that album! feels so utopian
    November 15 09:57 AM
  • SandwichBubble Glad you like them!
    November 12 06:46 PM
  • Drifter He's not a very interesting mc and the beats aren't anything special for the most part imo
    November 7 09:28 PM
  • Frippertronics yuck it up, it's time has almost come
    November 7 09:07 PM
  • Drifter Just checked Quik Is The Name, doesn't really do it for me tbh. Also all those 4.5s lol
    November 7 08:30 PM
  • Scoob All my ones hold a special place in my heart. But that one is the black sheep of them all
    November 7 01:45 PM
  • Drifter Damn sweet 4.5. Yeah man its a classic. Root of all Evil is def one of the best (if not THE best)
    November 7 12:46 PM
  • GodLovesUgly Yea that's for sure, you have to really dip deep with Hip Hop to ever come across that one.
    November 7 12:15 AM
  • Drifter You didn't care for fairweather or 44 ways?! Damn. Glad you dug the rest though! Spice totally kills it on both songs. Also no I haven't checked Can You Feel Me. Been meaning to for a while though cuz I've heard its production is godly
    November 7 12:05 AM
  • Drifter Hell yeah! Shame he's not on 3 fkn songs but his production is just godly so it makes up for it. Not sure which tracks exactly he produced but I'm pretty sure he did most of them. Tell me some of your favs! (if you remember)
    November 6 11:14 PM
  • Drifter Oh man you'll love it. The way he comes in on "Heat" is insane
    November 6 10:01 PM
  • Drifter Bro you gotta check Paris - Unleashed. Top tier gfunk album and sounds like if Warren G and Daz had a baby AND has Spice 1 on two songs if you dig him
    November 6 07:10 PM
  • GodLovesUgly Yea man glad you love the album to, more people need to hear it. It's definitely one of the best Hip Hop albums I've heard, straight fire all the way through.
    November 6 05:58 PM
  • discovolante Will do, man!
    November 1 07:50 AM
  • discovolante Yeah man, I?ve heard Gargoyle mentioned sooooooooooo many times, especially from the old school visual kei crowd, and I finally decided to try them out. The guitar solo on ?Destroy? just obliterated my whole head, and I?ve since looped it dozens of times today lol.
    October 31 11:43 PM
  • SandwichBubble That cover is definitely something. I'll try it out, for sure
    October 29 10:50 PM
  • Drifter I heard Tarantula a long time ago and liked it more than Unpredictable as well. I need to return to it. Unpredictable used to be such a strong 4 for me but has gone down over time. Born 2 Be A Soldier will always be classic though
    October 29 03:53 PM
  • SandwichBubble Suburbs was stellar!
    October 15 10:40 PM
  • SandwichBubble Ah that's short. I'll check in a few minutes :)
    October 15 10:03 PM
  • SandwichBubble Tempted to listen to it now. It's short, right?
    October 15 09:54 PM
  • SandwichBubble That Suburbs EP looks super good, gonna give it a go
    October 15 11:25 AM
  • SandwichBubble Whole Mulatto discog is golden, love em
    October 10 06:56 AM
  • SandwichBubble Also, Help I'm a Rock is a Zappa cover, so get on "The Mothers of Invention - Freak Out!"
    October 4 04:57 PM
  • SandwichBubble YEAH, glad you enjoyed it! Alright, here's two: 1) "July - July" | 2) "The Millenium - Begin" let me know if you like them :)

    October 4 12:37 AM
  • SandwichBubble you'd dig west coast pop art experimental band I bet. Ever hear any of their stuff?
    October 4 12:30 AM
  • SandwichBubble Awesome man! Band's pretty killer :) you've got good taste yourself!
    October 4 12:00 AM
  • Drifter Sweet Takin No Shortz rating bro. Not sure if its true but I read somewhere that he was only like 16 when he made the album. Either way that album bumps hard
    October 3 07:44 PM
  • SandwichBubble Definitely check age, it's wonderful. Also try Mike Melvoin ?? The Plastic Cow Goes Moooooog. I'm a novice at early electronic music, so if you find anything cool be sure to shoutbox me! :)
    September 26 07:28 AM
  • sixdegrees yeah, "Hoyt" is such a good opener. they deserve to be at least as well known as alison's halo/lilys/drop nineteens as far as 90s american shoegaze goes imo
    September 25 06:13 PM
  • sixdegrees hell yea....was looking for albums I hadn't heard of in one of the shoegaze recs threads
    September 25 04:29 PM
  • GmemberKills damn fox yr gaze list is what i was trying to accomplish
    September 15 04:45 PM
  • Drifter Hey man I asked key this, but hr couldn't really help. Do you know any songs like Vontel's 4 My Homiez or Jay-Z's The City is Mine?
    September 14 06:37 PM
  • Drifter Haha yeah I've got it too. It's like the perfect bridge between Rhythm and Gangsta and Tha Blue Carpet Treatment
    September 13 10:01 PM
  • Drifter Nice Stackin Chips rating. Keep It On The Real is an eternal jam
