 | Kimm My relationship with both my parents is already better - I think they're starting to understand that I am trying my best to make them happy even if I do have different views than them and that I'm not just out to "rebel" and be "defiant" and whatever else. This environment has problems of it's own but in a way I'm thankful for that because getting advice from my parents about it is helping the relationship as well. I guess it's a small way for them to see I respect and appreciate their thoughts.

| SeaAnemone oh I know, I agree on Departures... I just rated it a 3.5 before I had written that... I think I have Defeater at a 2.5. The new Weekend Nachos is really fantastic as well if you're into more grind-y hardcore. I hadn't listened to much hardcore this year at all til this week but Departures, WN, and PT have dominated my listening.

I didn't realize a. how cheap beckett was for the first 2 years on the sox and b. that lowell had an mvp caliber season in 07 before fading off for the rest of his career... Beckett could be a HOF too... he's really only had 1 bad season

| Kimm I don't know man, there are a lot of problems that aren't typical. I guess there are strong personality clashes and when two (or three) people are strong willed and in opposition, it gets out of hand. I'm not feeling sorry for myself though, all the problems I've had with my family have made me into who I am and given me the strengths I have.

| Deathcar Hehe. I mean, there's a lot of good stuff like Defeater et al coming out now, but it still sucks to be associated with the generation who's idea of good hardcore/metalcore is gems such as Attack! Attack!, BMTH etc.

| Deathcar Fair enough, I'm somewhat jealous of that musical experience - I've only been really into music for about 3 years, and only really listened to hardcore within the last year, it's such a vast genre, feels like there's a lot to catch up on as it were. Plus, most of the 90's hardcore is awesome, would have been great to see it live back then.
