| Spag Forgot to mention, I got my Watching from a Distance shirt in the mail today. It's pretty awesome. I also have the cd coming in the mail (never owned it before but felt the need to now) and trying to find a copy of it is hard. The vinyl seems pretty easy to find but I've never been a vinyl guy.

| Crysis The core is there: riffs, vocals, variety, pacing, intensity. This is quite good. I especially love the intro and how it builds and builds. It's fantastic songwriting.

| Crysis First impressions are that this is a jam. When it goes, it goes hard and the pace is very nice. I'd say the drums are a bit off, specifically with how thunderous they get at points and kind of overwhelm whatever is going on (see the transition at 4:19 for an example of what I mean, they also rear their head every 6 seconds or so during the riffing from 10:10 forwards). Sorry if I'm not describing it well. It otherwise sounds superb, will keep listening.

| Crysis i'm not just saying that because you're on here and we all know you, it's legit great. exactly what i love about black metal: the fact that in one track you can have a really dark, but hopeful atmosphere, a great balance of heaviness and melody, good pacing, varied song structure. it's something you should be really proud of.

| Spag I admit, I wasn't into their second one much BUT I have to hear it again, haven't heard it in nearly 4 years. I've been rebuilding my ratings from scratch and well, a lot of things have grown off but some things have really really grown on me. (Like Omit's debut for example, that album is awesome.)

My newest 5s are A Map of All Our Failures and Epicus Doomicus Metallicus. Lovely albums they are.

I have known a few people with that and it's a major struggle and people can sometimes kind of take it not seriously, so I feel for you. I think that's a really ambitious, interesting idea if you could channel that experience through your next release though

| Muikuli It does make a huge difference. Makes you wonder why he brickwalled it so badly. Especially when he made some effort to make the self-titled album less loud in the remaster (Time I remaster is louder than original though so what gives?) They were still excellent live anyway if you get the chance.

| Muikuli Comparing some parts side by side, I guess what I appreciate the most is that you've given it more space. That probably puts it more in line with the way Time I was mixed.

| Muikuli After one listen I'd say that the most noticeable thing comparing just by going memory of the original mix is that the vocals are a lot less loud, and that alone does make the whole mix sound more balanced. That really was the one thing that was probably most blatantly 'strange' even to my ears in the original mix. Nicely done.

I'm expecting both albums to be a 8/10 at the worst for me. Also, I need to listen to that Devin Townsend album again because I wasn't pleased on the first listen. The second half of the album did absolutely nothing for me.

| PortalofPerfection You know I went and checked out The Howling Void, and I saw that you have it a 1.5. When I first fired it up I thought damn this actually pretty good, why did Noctus hate it so much?After going through a few minutes of a few tracks I realized there's a high-pitched (and pretty s***ty sounding) chorus in the background ALL THE TIME! I mean I don't know if that's why you hated it but that s*** got annoying REAL quick lol. Shame because there's it seems pretty solid otherwise.
