 | Jom Your hypothesis was correct -- the artist tag in a news article would change automatically if the artist name changes. My guess is that it is because each artist page is connected to a numerical tag (which stays constant). Cheers!

 | Voivod My current personal reference for thrash metal excellence for the style early Kreator/Sodom have pioneered, is the sophomore album of a Chilean band called Parkcrest. The sound of that album is astoundingly raw and organic, compared to the new Sodom album.

| Voivod Angelripper knows best about his drummer (I mean that!) but the sound does not give him justice imho. My subjective opinion is that Sodom have done better in the past, meaning that if I have Until Death Do Us Unite/Masquerade In Blood as a 3.5, this one is between 3-3.5 at best, closer to 3 though.

| Jethro42 Thanks for asking, buddy. Spiritually and humor speaking, I'm quite good tbh. I'm not sure if you're aware of my chronical pain in my back. A stuck nerve used to give me varieties of pain, but now, a medication seems to have good effect on me, so I have good reasons to be optimistic. Related to that, I've partially lost sensibilities to a leg, but I can walk on it at least. There were a time where i lost interest here on sput, but I'm progressivly coming back. Things are getting better, thanks!

| Jethro42 Salut Voivod. Grumblewood is good enough, but could be better in the songwriting department. Drummer has an amateurish playing. Flutist is really fun to listen to, and he reminds of Ian Anderson, but Tull similitudes are rather rare. Thanks for your habitual generosity, and for showing me these guys! Cheers!

| GamamJ Oh, and In Memory felt a lot like a transition album to me as well, with the features of the s/t still very much there, but trying to get into more complex songwriting. Made it feel goofy at times to me since they clearly hadn't really gotten the hang of it yet.

| GamamJ I mean, I haven't listened to anything past Dreaming yet, but I wouldn't say they got simpler, but rather changed their focus. Yes, the instrumentation certainly got simpler, but the writing is way more intricate with multiple different sections, more advanced rhythms/times etc. I am a huge fan of both of the above, my issue is just with the epic/powery method bands like Nevermore and Blind Guardian do it in. Not my cup of tea. Also sorry about the formatting in my message, was on mobile.

| GamamJ Yes, I thought In Memory relied way too much on the same structure for every song. Clean intro slowly building into a heavier tail-end. Not much interesting riffage or intricate soloing, which are what I like the most from Nevermore.While I appreciate that the song structures on Dreaming are much more elaborate, and really enjoy them, I am a huge fan of complex and virtuosic instrumentation which has been toned down a lot from previous efforts. Also not big into Warrel?s vocals.

| insomniac15 Planet of Zeus know how to craft a fun, groovy, hard rock tune, but I wish they did more than that. I saw people weren't impressed with a track like 'Athens' off their previous record, which had a lounge/jazzy vibe. They are probably stuck in between trying to please the fans and doing something different.

| Jethro42 What a coincidence!...I've jammed that album lately. It was brought to me from a prog facebook group, coming from a rec'd album. it's really great, and apparently the penultimate album is still better. Relistening to it atm. Thanks for yet another amazing recommendation, bro!
