    November 30 04:58 PM

    November 30 02:53 PM
  • Hawks Absolutely massive!!! Idk what my fav is yet, but I'm honestly partial to the opener at this point. So amazing.
    November 28 12:49 PM
  • Hawks Its not QUITE as good, but its damn close.
    November 27 07:53 PM
  • Hawks My friend, it is a top 3 BAN album. The atmosphere is off the charts without sacrificing the riffs. You'll love it.
    November 27 06:51 PM
  • Hawks Its streaming in full on YT right now. ;]]
    November 27 05:11 PM
  • Hawks Sup Doofster???
    November 27 03:27 PM
  • zakalwe Yep I gave it a brief listen, it is like a lot nowadays and nothing really sticks. Im still returning to the gems of 2024. Nick Cave The Cure and that
    November 16 05:55 PM
  • zakalwe That Insecure Men album is a quality Sunday listen. The trio of Time is a healer Tulse Hill Station and Alien is lovely.
    November 16 10:31 AM
  • zakalwe Yep The Midlake one is decent. Had a doze to it when I gave it a listen. Have not given the insecure men one a go yet.
    November 11 03:18 PM
  • zakalwe It was an absolute stunner. Without question Mickey is one of the best we have had for the last 25yrs. Love the bloke.
    November 4 11:11 PM
  • Hawks I forgot to add the new one lmao. But cannot wait to jam it!
    October 31 11:34 PM
  • Hawks Nice! Not a problem brother, I'll do it today so you don't have to! Also, love that you 5'd new Anna. Gorgeous album. I have it fourth in my top 100 atm.
    October 31 03:18 PM
  • Hawks Make sure you tell me when you add that new Old Saw so I can put it on the list! I'll do it after work if you haven't gotten to it by then. :]
    October 31 02:44 PM
  • zakalwe Things are definitely on the up. I have been well impressed with Frank. He has made us look a lot more solid in very little time. Get someone in to consistently bang in the goals and good things await. Album of the month for me was Saint Etienne
    October 5 02:05 PM
  • zakalwe Here we go. Simons as a 10. Spurs to win. 2-1
    October 4 11:17 AM
  • Hawks Cardiacs new one is absolutely friggin amazing agreed!
    September 22 11:14 AM
  • Hawks Nice rating for Wednesday!!!
    September 21 02:06 PM
  • zakalwe It is all good at the minute. Doncaster in the cup and Wolves at home next week. Onwards and upwards!!
    September 20 05:07 PM
  • zakalwe Yep again completely agree mate on all counts. Bergvall is the bollocks. Mourinho would take the West Ham job as he would be on another bumper payout if given the boot.
    September 13 08:12 PM
  • zakalwe Despite West Ham being bleedin useless. Things are definitely on the up. We are looking decent.
    September 13 06:28 PM
  • zakalwe I laughed as well. Forest now there is a badly run club
    September 9 07:45 PM
  • zakalwe Will be the same old circus mate
    September 8 07:09 AM
  • Hawks Which others of his should I check out? I really dig his overall vibe.
    August 31 04:45 PM
  • Hawks Could go up in time! It's very enjoyable for the most part, but maybe a tad too long.
    August 31 04:35 PM
  • Hawks Hell yeah buddy!! :] Oh, jamming Cass McCombs right now and really digging.
    August 30 08:47 PM
  • zakalwe Doesn?t matter who it?s aimed at it needs to be put aside for 5 mins while we are improving building and dare I say it playing alright.
    August 30 07:29 PM
  • zakalwe Here we go. Already booing. We really are the biggest bunch of **** fans in football
    August 30 06:59 PM
  • Hawks Sounds good my brother!!
    August 17 02:20 PM
  • Hawks Hi buddy!!! I definitely reccomend new Blackbraid. Botb's band Augur also put out a killer EP. And if you want some truly evil sounding dm/bm, Malthusian is a great choice.
    August 17 12:33 PM
  • zakalwe Yep a legend. This season will be interesting. Another cup in anything would be lovely.
    August 2 09:52 AM
  • zakalwe Ha. Yeah I did enjoy that I must say. Reckon it?ll be a score draw against Burnley. Loving Breathless at the minute. Very underrated.
    August 1 09:56 AM
  • zakalwe That Breathless album from 2022 is is a blinder
    July 8 12:15 PM
  • zakalwe lol. It has gone beyond just mildly irritating now. Absolute wankers
    June 30 01:40 PM
  • zakalwe Haha. I thought sput had kicked the bucket but it is truly back up and running when there is a message in me shout box from you mentioning Half Man Half Biscuit.
    June 19 07:28 AM
  • zakalwe Not excited by Frank tbh. He has had time and granted freedom to shape Brentford and mold a decent team who have adapted and are a good side. He won?t be afforded more than 20 games at Tottenham and reckon it could be a shaky start. Should have been Scott Parker.
    June 14 11:05 AM
  • zakalwe Very impressed with These New Puritans new one
    May 28 12:26 PM
  • Hawks Completely agreed brother!! Seems good so far so we shall see!!
    May 26 03:58 PM
  • Hawks Ahhhh that's awesome brother!! Always good to spend time with family. And I'm just doing quality control work. Nothing major lol. But the company nice.
    May 26 03:42 PM
  • Hawks Not bad brother. Just started a new job so getting settled with that. What do you got going on?
    May 26 03:16 PM
  • Hawks Hi buddy!!
    May 24 08:10 PM
  • zakalwe The league has been diabolical but we focused on the right thing in the end. Will be interesting to see what happens next season if we make a few signings and cobble together a decent start but I can see it all being a bit shaky and Ange being given the boot
    May 22 11:50 AM
  • zakalwe What a s***e game what an outstanding result. I could have wept mate.
    May 21 10:38 PM
  • Colton what are your thoughts on Open Door Policy? Heavy Covenant came up on shuffle last night and I ended up listening to the whole thing again and honestly it's really solid imo. I'd put it toe to toe with Always Been
    May 5 09:40 PM
  • zakalwe Nice one mate I will give it a go. Seems proper. Big old game tonight reckon it will be decided in the first leg and not necessarily in our favour. Lets see what happens
    May 1 05:47 AM
  • Atari hey! I'd love to but haven't been able to come up with anything that really gives it the justice it deserves. been busy with work too but maybe I'll take another stab at it this weekend. you should still consider covering it too though since you're so passionate about it ;)
    April 25 04:39 PM
  • zakalwe I agree mate
    April 21 08:29 PM
  • zakalwe Yeah it?s that lack of zip innit. They are all spent and well off the pace but there is a half decent team there without any sort of cohesion. Has been a proper stinker of a season.
    April 21 08:20 PM
  • zakalwe Get him in at Tottenham this is bleedin farcical!!
    April 21 07:34 PM
  • zakalwe Underworld are one of the special ones for me. Has always been about Dubnobass and Second Toughest. I was disappointed with Days Off when it came out and I think that?s forever tarnished it. Does have some top drawer stuff on it though.
    April 21 12:07 PM
  • Atari enjoy the rest of your holiday! yeah it blew me away too but didn't hit me all at once.. just keeps getting better
    April 13 12:16 AM
  • Atari If you want to maybe attempt a collab review for that Craig Finn album let me know. I?m rusty af but the album deserves more attention imo. If not no worries and maybe I?ll still give it a go
    April 12 05:10 PM
  • zakalwe Going to have to disagree with you on the Horrors one. I think it is a belter. You are forgiven though because derpeche mode is classic lol
    April 8 09:38 AM
  • zakalwe He is one of them that I enjoy the albums on a first listen but they rarely get a second listen. I will give it a go mate
    April 5 12:05 PM
  • anat the single is probably a bit of an outlier, but I suppose it is a genre shift towards the electronic side of dream pop (almost house adjacent). the sensibilities are the same but there?ll be less vocals and more textures
    April 4 06:46 PM
  • anat ah it?s stellar, really enjoyed the first spin, fletchers is immediately one of my favourite tracks from him. not felt particularly on the wagon so far this year (find it increasingly harder to find the time for dedicated listening) but I was also really pleased with new darkside, plus my friend richard sallis who?s enjoying some rym attention with his new album. I put out a new endling track the other day if you didn?t know - album later this year, with a new direction to boot ;)
    April 4 05:56 PM
  • Colton oh wow that sounds awesome. never would have expected that collab
    April 4 02:19 PM
  • Colton what should I expect with the new Craig Finn?
    April 4 01:54 PM
  • zakalwe Does remove the quirkiness inventiveness and charm of a Robert Wyatt and replaces it with self absorbed drivel of Saffron expressing her creative edge at art school. It?s a 2.5
    April 4 07:52 AM
  • zakalwe Currently listening to the Black Country one. Bit dodgy innit but it?s not a 1.5 lol
    April 4 07:16 AM
  • zakalwe Rumours of Pochettino returning which I cannot see happening due to his World Cup commitments. I also reckon he would be s***e. Scott Parker in.
    April 4 06:28 AM
  • zakalwe Suns out but still bloomin chilly. Must be getting old it will be the jacket on in July. Nice one mate I will give it a listen.
    April 1 03:08 PM
  • zakalwe I agree mate. Primal Scream have done some timeless classics though and have a foundation of reality rather than wanky
    March 22 10:15 PM
  • zakalwe Derpeche Mode. LOL. Absolute classic. I do like the album though.
    March 22 10:04 PM
  • zakalwe Kunce. Poetic!
    March 21 04:54 PM
  • Hawks You're the man thanks buddy!! Yeah tbh that John Martyn album was just a bit TOO soft for me and honestly made me cringe at various points throughout lmao. Went into it with high hopes and just didn't dig at all.
    March 12 03:37 PM
  • Hawks Gimme a folk discog that you think I'd dig. I wanna do something more mellow for my band of the month next month and I don't trust anyone more than you when it comes to great folk recs. :]
    March 12 05:13 AM
  • zakalwe Straight off the bat I thought it was the fella from I Am Kloot.
    March 5 01:56 PM
  • zakalwe Trentmollers Dreamweaver has had a fair bit of rotation this year. I think is it?s absolute class. Another winner from 2024. What a year.
    March 4 09:08 PM
  • zakalwe They are in that bracket. I dismissed them as lite nonsense when they started up and there was a bit of hype surrounding them. Was having none of it but someone told me to give The Last Broadcast a go soon after it came out and I have been a fan ever since. One of those bands that have accompanied me through the last 25yrs. New one is great.
    March 4 09:05 PM
  • zakalwe Ghedi is a goodun.
    February 23 10:54 AM
  • zakalwe I am sold on that description. Will be me next listen.
    February 21 01:42 PM
  • zakalwe Scott Parker in
    February 7 08:48 AM
  • zakalwe Arse
    February 6 10:06 PM
  • zakalwe Here we go. A drubbing on the cards but let?s see what happens. Come on you Spurs
    February 6 05:52 PM
  • Gyromania ?Also?I do not get on with early atonal harmonica and beat poetry Dylan.? I?m in the same boat here I think lol. And yeah I saw a 5/5 Dylan and I guess just assumed you had done his discography because of how much music you consume. Thanks for mentioning boney and Zach tho, I?ll ask them. Also really curious to check out that artist you mentioned. My nana came from Edinburgh so I?ve always been a fan of Scottish music.
    February 2 10:29 PM
  • Gyromania Maybe as big as Bowie?s if not bigger but I know that not everything is worth hearing. Didn?t want to just make a judgement call and go off Sputnik averages since those can be hilariously wrong at times so I figured I?d ask you
    February 1 05:39 AM
  • Gyromania Yo doof, I?ve been doing entire discog runs of artists and I usually focus on just one or two each year. Two years ago it was Bowie (best discog run I?ve ever done) and last year it was Flaming Lips and Everything Everything. Was thinking of doing Bob Dylan this year since I?m not super familiar with his work outside BotT. Iirc you?re pretty familiar with his discog, right? Was wondering if you could pls tell me which are the essential albums worth focusing on. His discography is
    February 1 05:38 AM
  • zakalwe lol classic
    January 31 09:23 PM
  • zakalwe Will have it a go. Love a foot tapper!
    January 31 09:12 PM
  • zakalwe Nice. I fell asleep listening to it in a good way.
    January 30 02:31 PM
  • zakalwe Sunk. Bleedin diabolical
    January 26 03:56 PM
  • zakalwe Not as big as last week. We will beat Leicester and steady the ship.
    January 24 11:40 AM
  • zakalwe Massive game at the weekend. Scott Parker in for next season
    January 16 06:31 AM
  • zakalwe Haha. Christ. Sharpen up son. The Brigid one is pure class.
    January 13 08:11 PM
  • zakalwe Not having the fat dog mate and I?m not talking about Brigid
    January 13 06:35 AM
  • zakalwe Nice. Havent given Brigid a listen in a fair old while. Will see what she is up to with the covers album.
    January 10 11:50 AM
  • zakalwe I THOUGHT I WAS GETTING BETTER!!! I must think I?m ****ing Cinderella. Proper
    January 3 07:57 PM
  • zakalwe Happy New Year to you to mate. The Big Special is a Bit Special. The fellas vocal are a touch Robbie Williams but fit the music perfectly. First listen of the year was Mosaic from Fennesz a late release that has tied up 2024 beautifully. 2025 will be s***e for albums but hope you have a blinder.
    January 1 01:17 PM
  • budgie my man https://circustrees.bandcamp.com/album/this-makes-me-sad-and-i-miss-you its grave
    December 29 03:25 AM
  • Sunnyvale Makes sense, no problem! Happy New Year and all that jazz!
    December 27 08:12 PM
  • zakalwe Enjoyed the one they did a couple of years ago. 0151 was a song of the year for me. Blokes vocals are quality. Haven?t heard the new one.
    December 24 02:44 PM
  • zakalwe Incredible. Exactly what the Idles are not. ****ing amazing stuff absolutely love it. Shame the big lad has tattooed hands like the usual bell ends
    December 22 07:19 PM
  • zakalwe Men against boys innit. Our injuries have sunk us. Still reckon we can win the League Cup.
    December 22 05:56 PM
  • Colton it's a very addicting album. and yeah 3D Country might be my AOTY from last year but I think I like this one even more
    December 21 06:16 PM
  • Colton very good.
    December 21 06:11 PM
  • Sunnyvale Hey Doof! Hope all is well. Just wanted to check if you'd be interested in writing up a blurb for The Cure's November Release of the Month win? If so, please drop a Google Docs link in my Shoutbox when you're done. Thanks!
    December 19 03:48 PM
  • zakalwe Hahahaha. I thought exactly the same thing mate. Thankfully a bit more subtle though it has to be said.
    December 13 09:27 AM
  • zakalwe Rather the current setup than oil money. Better the devil you know. Southampton next week so should get a result if not I reckon it might be curtains unfortunately.
    December 9 06:36 AM
  • zakalwe Christ
    December 8 07:05 PM
  • zakalwe Have faith mate. Us to win 2-1
    December 6 05:40 PM
  • zakalwe No way should we get rid. Have to stick with him for the time being I think he is by far the best we have had at the helm since Poch and I think we will have a decent cup run. We will get a result against Chelsea although we were so s***e last night it makes me less confident than I was.
    December 6 02:38 PM
  • zakalwe A four. I?ll take it.
    December 5 07:04 PM
  • zakalwe Never go near a betting slip mate its just Tottenham innit a tricky one coming up on Thursday as well but reckon we will do Chelsea on Sunday
    December 2 12:54 PM
  • Hawks Veilburner is incredible indeed. Top 5 for me this year.
    December 1 06:04 PM
  • Hawks I'm still loving the new Grandaddy soooooo much.
    December 1 06:33 AM
  • Hawks Yesss indeed Aldehorte really rules. Was a nice little surprise. Been trying to keep up but there's so much stuff to jam. Been listening to lots of ambient/field recording stuff also over the past few days.
    November 25 07:50 PM
  • Hawks Ohhhhh yes I know you dig the new Paysage. You gotta try Veilburner's newest! I think you'll like it.
    November 25 03:49 PM
  • Hawks Whats up buddy??
    November 25 05:52 AM
  • zakalwe Unbelievable result but City definitely missing something not just Rodri. We will struggle against Fulham guaranteed.
    November 24 10:38 AM
  • zakalwe Thats the one. I?m going to give it a go
    November 13 08:43 PM
  • zakalwe Nice definitely some cross over and stuff I need to give a go. I did have a look at your film lists as I just dont watch them anymore but still interested. Last one I saw was aftersun and it was alright. What is that one with the fella in a wheelchair on the front cover and the most unfitting title of all time. He?s on foot so no chance or something like that lol
    November 13 08:15 PM
  • zakalwe Yeah Vanishing Point is quality. Unbelievable opener and the album carries some swagger. Compiling me best of 2024 to post in early Dec. I think for simple enjoyment of albums 2024 definitely takes it. There was a lot offered up that I have cherished
    November 13 07:44 PM
  • zakalwe Mate I am declaring it as my personal best. It has taken the crown from 1997. Mental.
    November 13 06:45 PM
  • zakalwe Will be interesting good or s***e it will be an experience. Would still love to see the Sniffers think their new album is quality
    November 13 06:28 PM
  • zakalwe Hahaha. Turn that knife in. Havent listened to the thing yet but the snippets I have heard have been alright but yeah I have no doubt it is probably student wank. You going to Shepherds Bush Empire on Saturday for the Troublegum anniversary?
    November 13 05:27 PM
  • Futures i'm really glad your dad is doing well. my philosophy has definitely changed as well, even though i have dark days i really appreciate life much more. i should be gone but i'm still here somehow. and yes advancements really have me hopeful. if i was in the past i wouldn't have lived a year with what i had. proton radiation which i got is super new and rare still, only like 30 places in the us offer it. very lucky to have gotten in but with the rarity of my case it makes it easier.
    November 13 02:15 AM
  • zakalwe There definitely appeared to be a swagger there in the 90s and they clearly did not give the first **** but as time has moved on I can see your point
    November 12 05:14 PM
  • zakalwe lol. You really are not having a bar of Primal Scream are you.
    November 12 10:32 AM
  • Futures that's very kind, thank you. that sincerely means a lot. you're a good dude and a great presence on this site. hope you've been well.
    November 11 12:19 AM
  • zakalwe Coles Corner is more of a heartwarmer. Last Orders is one of the best closers/instrumentals of all time for me. As an album Lowedges takes the crown just for the volume of bloody good tunes on it and it has hit massively hard during my forties. The one album I would save if my house was on fire. Ladys Bridge is a tad too Coles corner reheated with extra twang for me but Tonight The Streets Are Ours is one of the best songs he has done.
    November 5 07:42 PM
  • zakalwe Good lad. The fella is a class act. Love the new one but don?t think it makes my top ten of the year. Mental.
    November 5 07:18 PM
  • zakalwe He does whats needed. Reckon we will draw against Ipswich possible slip up against Fulham it?s how we roll but definitely making the most of it at the minute. Could do with a Utd win here just to top it all off
    November 3 04:38 PM
  • zakalwe Get in. What a week for the Tottenham.
    November 3 03:59 PM
  • zakalwe Doesn?t have a Lullaby or Pictures of you but as a listen I find it even more rewarding. I absolutely bloomin love it. See how it goes as the years roll on.
    November 2 03:55 PM
  • zakalwe That Cure album is something special innit
    November 2 03:36 PM
  • zakalwe Haha. Christ.
    October 12 05:56 PM
  • zakalwe lol have you actually given that Offspring album the time of day.
    October 12 04:27 PM
  • Slex Heartbreaking, dunno how I'll sleep at night
    October 9 05:05 PM
  • zakalwe ****ing hell I should lay off the Stella!! I meant to say come to mama
    September 29 08:28 PM
  • zakalwe Oh yeah apologies. Yep Jubilee was a sell out still has some nice tunes on it though. Honey dont think. What a beauty.
    September 29 08:27 PM
  • zakalwe Sell out my arse. They were always completely doing it on their own terms. Lone Star Song and Mockingbirds are top 200 of all time.
    September 29 08:10 PM
  • zakalwe Both albums are a 5 to be fair but you got it in four good lad! Lowedges what a ****ing album. Speaks to me like nothing else. Written when he was in his mid thirties and it shows. A life lived. Amazing lyrics.
    September 29 05:45 PM
  • zakalwe Hahahaha. Fair play mate. Yes it is Richard Hawley but which one?Best we have played in a fair old while this
    September 29 05:23 PM
  • zakalwe Blimey. Gold guesses as I do absolutely love io and the first two Oasis albums are like children but nope. Album that has taken first place was released in the first decade of the 21st century which is baffling bearing in mind how s***e it was.
    September 29 04:56 PM
  • zakalwe On another note I think I finally after nearly 30yrs have a favourite new album of all time that has taken the place of Spiritualized Ladies and Gents.I will give you a 100 quid if you can guess it in three. It is one of my listed 5s
    September 29 04:44 PM
  • zakalwe I completely agree mate. Useless. A step down from Richarlison one step lower and I might as well put me shin pads on
    September 29 04:35 PM
  • zakalwe Take em to the ****ing cleaners now lads
    September 29 04:25 PM
  • zakalwe Probably a draw 1-1
    September 29 12:23 PM
  • Gyromania haha good timing, just ranked the songs from the new album in the first tindersticks album thread and i put Don't Walk in S. I didn't even know people were lukewarm on it, it's so sleek. love how the horns and strings come together
    September 27 09:37 PM
  • ArsMoriendi Glad you liked it
    September 27 09:23 PM
  • Gyromania I actually haven?t heard their second or third albums but rn I put the new one just below the debut and Simple Pleasure. Always A Stranger is a soty contender for me atm
    September 27 05:40 PM
  • ArsMoriendi It's out and even better than I expected
    September 27 02:04 PM
  • budgie lol i see. i'm not going to RYM, though. i think i've had my fill of music websites for one lifetime
    September 27 01:12 AM
  • Cygnatti How did you like dexter, doof? I found the first few seasons to be pretty good!
    September 27 12:31 AM
  • zakalwe Ha do they still have it?
    September 26 01:30 PM
  • Gyromania Man, Soft Tissue. What an album. Immediately top 3 Tindersticks
    September 26 12:26 PM
  • budgie nop i just started it totally randomly because it was on netflix and ive run out of horror-adjacent media to binge. horror is dying, man
    September 21 07:35 PM
  • budgie dude i am literally watching the 4th episode of dexter while on buddhas page and saw you comment that. wtf
    September 20 09:25 PM
  • zakalwe Impressed with that Tindersticks new one. Listened to it a fair bit over the last few days.
    September 19 04:33 PM
  • zakalwe Ange has cursed himself by saying he ALWAYS wins something in his second season. Not now you won?t mate. Will give the Tindersticks a listen didn?t know it was out nice one. Been a good year for albums.
    September 16 07:30 AM
  • zakalwe I dont think we will ever be the bollocks but there is still a decent team bimbling about just need a good few results on the bounce and we should come good. Cannot believe how good Van de Ven is. Brentford next week should be interesting which is ****ing ridiculous when you think about it.
    September 15 07:41 PM
  • zakalwe Arsenal too strong mate. Thought we had a chance but nah. Didn?t even know Sterling had gone to them on loan.
    September 15 04:38 PM
  • Hawks s*** thats my discord name....RYM name is pecoraroryan1992.
    September 14 04:14 PM
  • Hawks I know you're on RYM, add me there bro. Hawks_1992
    September 14 03:07 PM
  • ArsMoriendi Slothcore deff has recommended me Alice Doughnut before? the double rec might pick them higher on my check list. By the way, since I?ve been pushing them, there?s this neo-psych band called Fantasy of a Broken Heart (local Brooklyn band) coming out with their debut on the 27th. • zakalwe Having me mind blown travelling around North Devon at the moment so haven?t had the chance to listen to anything except the new Nick Cave which I think is an absolute belter. I am looking to get stuck into that Wunderhorse one though. Decent band.

    August 8 09:05 PM
  • Hawks Threw a 5 on the new Bonny Light Horseman. Has become one of my fav albums, not only of 2024, but ever tbh. I don't think any album has ever grew on me harder.
    August 8 03:20 PM
  • zakalwe Absolutely mate. When ideology finally faces reality. Unfortunately you?re going to get the complete idiots but it?s what happens when a massive vacuum is created. Bad times for the police a lot of anger and hatred directed at people simply doing a job and being told by the powers that be.
    August 1 07:17 PM
  • zakalwe They always say a week is a long time in politics. Labour making an absolute hash of it. Christ Almighty.
    August 1 04:19 PM
  • zakalwe Same old chaos innit. Tax rises imminent bit of social unrest causing issues so in order to quell the masses and stop them retaliating and God forbid thinking for themselves. Cannabis to be legalised.
    July 31 01:50 PM
  • bighubbabuddha fully agree with your billie eilish rating. Lunch lost its charm after 3 listens and apart from Chihiro the rest was either filler or cringe with terrible choruses (The Greatest)
    July 27 12:57 PM
  • budgie fasho. single is called koalas, album is pomegranate, comes out september

  • zakalwe I wasn?t too disappointed at all. England are a lot better than they have been for decades and we had a decent stab at it. The Kane curse is real though.
    July 15 10:08 AM

  • Hawks Gonna have to discog them like I'm doing with Nick Cave.
    June 28 04:16 PM
  • Hawks Do you get down with Okkervil River??? Jammed their debut last night and almost insta-5'd it lol.
    June 27 11:23 PM
  • Hawks I love them all so much lol. Everything is Fire is my fav dm album of all time though.
    June 27 06:35 PM
  • Hawks Glad u like it buddy!
    June 26 01:56 PM
  • Hawks https://www.sputnikmusic.com/soundoff.php?albumid=219060 You need to jam this!
    June 26 07:13 AM
  • Demon of the Fall 33% of my (variable, because Sput) pie is now experimental or jazz, so maybe I'm turning into him! ...probably not in reality, as we do differ in some areas. I do yearn to find more 'feels' music, which I have partially succeeded at in more recent years
    June 21 11:18 AM
  • Demon of the Fall The Blue Nile "Hats" album seems like it may provide a challenge! I see the customary tect 2.5 and even though we don't love all the same things, we appear to have similar 'musical kryptonite', haha
    June 21 10:30 AM
  • Demon of the Fall Nice. I'm impressed you have RYM organised like this. Currently I'm rating things, adding a few to my wishlist as and when, and that's it really. I like the search functions.
    June 21 10:24 AM
  • Demon of the Fall influence works out a little better, especially as the #4 is Julee Cruise's album which is a recent discovery of mine / absolutely fantastic. Vague progress perhaps. Slow steps
    June 21 10:14 AM
  • Demon of the Fall I'm checking RYM and I've heard (and enjoy) the #1 rated Sade's "Love Deluxe"... I haven't heard any of the next 80 albums, not a single one! Maybe if I altered it to influence (not actual genre) I'd get a few more results, not sure
    June 21 10:10 AM
  • Demon of the Fall yeah, I get that and it's certainly good to challenge yourself with regards to any preconceptions and deeply ingrained biases. Having said that, a lot of what I used to enjoy I now reject and I definitely did not appreciate metal as a kid, so idk really. I do have genres I still struggle with though and any contemporary pop or the softer side of (vague) 'rock' is certainly right up there. I'm not familiar with Sophisti pop at all though
    June 21 10:08 AM
  • DadKungFu https://stanleywelch.bandcamp.com/album/virginsImmediately thought of doof
    June 20 06:43 PM
  • zakalwe New Mercury Rev song is absolutely bloody useless. Like the world?s wankiest music teacher trying to be trippy.
    June 18 01:44 PM
  • Hawks Well I do know one thing for a fact, I have been loving some good folk stuff recently. That new Bonny Light Horseman is so damn good and I've listened to a lot of Lenker this past week too. Metal will always be my first love but I am having fun branching out too.
    June 15 05:44 PM
  • Hawks I'm getting the metal itch also. Have only jammed 3 metal albums in the past like 2 weeks. Probably the longest I've gone without jamming 90% metal since I was about 13 years old, so 20 years lmao.
    June 15 05:30 PM
  • Hawks Hell yeah great to hear bro. Might as well just discog run them. Destroyers is probably my second fav. Atmosphere on that one is so pummeling.
    June 15 05:26 PM
  • Hawks Alright bro you have helped me lots with finding great music so let me help u....jam Everything is Fire by Ulcerate NOW!! Or when you want some metal lol. Best dm album of all time for me. I saw you say you might prefer their less accessible/more raw stuff and while its not "raw" like lofi bm its still probably the most crushing, dense album ever made.
    June 15 04:32 PM
  • Hawks Ok yes whole album is fantastic for the most part. Funny I was bitching about the t/t (first one) and now I cannot get it out of my head lol.
