 | Tunaboy45 Yeah all the raw emotion on the album never feels unwarranted, things started to get a little big melodramatic on The Fragile (still a great album though).
|
 | Tunaboy45 Just like to give some positive comments man, and I'm doing fine thanks, how about you? The Downward Spiral is such an excellent album because it was where everything came together for Trent. He may have been trashed on heroin 24/7 but he took a genuine risk and it paid off massively. The songwriting improved massively from PHM and the album has a genuinely good flow, meaning nothing ever feels out of place and the whole thing moves at a nice pace.

 | Mort. their album emergency and I and their album Change. Change is probably more accessible, but i love Emergency and I a tiny bit more. both great albums
|
 | Mort. yeah no problem man, just keep on writing and its gets easier and you get better. y most recent reviews are so much better than my old ones. I love the shape of punk to come just because its so well written, plenty of interesting hardcore riffs, unique lyrics, i love the techno and electronic influences. Just a really unique hardcore album

 | alienobserver i've just got a lot of memories of being in different places and either staring at the ceiling in the dark or falling asleep to her music. she's really comforting for me to listen to. there's this rhythm she has to her music that i just get drawn into. it's so alien, but human at the same time. kinda why i liked arca's new album so much lol. i love her voice, her production, her energy, the atmosphere, and just the feelings it evokes in me
|
 | alienobserver she's a really good artist and she did this project for school where she had to do a portfolio on an artist. she did grimes and she painted this beautiful portrait of her and she did this little improv piece where she drew her own original piece in the style of the visions album art. anyways when everybody went back to their hotel room i got my headphones and listened to her in the dark. it was really weird for me at first but it really drew me in.
|
 | alienobserver i've got a lot of sentimentality attached to her tbh. a while ago i was super into the dark electropop sound (like purity ring, some of ellie goulding's earlier stuff) and from what i've heard grimes kinda fit that description. i never checked her out tho. about a month later my grandfather died and my dad's side of the family all got together for his memorial. my cuz was there and she's really cool. we always hang out when there's a family gathering.

 | Jom Your desired name was already taken, so I went with your alternative. If the name doesn't port over to the reviews site in about 12-24 hours, try clearing your cookies/cache and re-logging in. Cheers!

 | PappyMason No worries. Cheers for the heads-up. That video is something. 'Queen' sounds pretty great to me.

 | AtomicWaste If that makes any sense... it may not. I haven't even had my morning coffee yet.
|
 | AtomicWaste That's a good question I just haven't had the time to answer. To be very simple about it, I think Sufjan always manages to create some of the most inspired music out there (this being another mastercraft) and the very personal elements he weaves into them are just even more personal on this one. It's an album I know I can always come back to and get that experience where there's a deep connection to the music. Not that my life was anything like his, but because he made his experience so tangible

 | Tunaboy45 Not going to lie, I haven't actually heard Jenny Death yet. I enjoyed Niggas On The Moon though.
