 | Sinternet hey bud haven't seen you in forever how you been
 | wtferrothorn Yeah! I'm actually up for consideration to be the new Associate Editor.
 | wtferrothorn Same, probably not gonna be sticking around. And I actually have my own THINK: PEACE review, but that's reserved for my university's newspaper lmao
 | wtferrothorn Yeah, I just wanted to check back into sput, just to see if much has changed.
 | theBoneyKing Looks interesting, Ill remember to give it a go, thanks for the rec. Hope youve been well btw
 | i just keep my ear to the ground tbh. there's a few "label" type setups that pump out a lot of good s*** (see: bala club, sbe/gtb/affiliates, goth money, etc) so i follow those pretty closely.
 | DoofusWainwright Did you ever check Our Ceasing Voice? Just for the Feiner style vocals you should give it a peek
 | nocuffin "Or knock on heavy drug themes and lines about addiction in the review, credit it as a detriment, and then brag about the dutara high immediately after in your first comment." didn't get a chance to respond to this in the thread so i'll do that here: one i don't knock the heavy drug themes so much as the disingenuous portrait of addiction. thus, me bragging about a datura high probably just reinforces my point so far as it probably paints me an addict (although i know i'm not addicted to datura)
 | Lord(e)Po)))ts Homecoming was hot garbage gotg 2 was on par with the first.
 | RoundOnEndHiInMiddle glad you enjoyed that uli k tape, been on constant rotation these past few days.
 | MikhailBower lmao i have no idea, i just saw it and it says "august 22" so I assumed last month
 | MikhailBower Typhoon's debut album is part of their release "from boy gorilla and beyond"... which I'm now seeing is not online anymore. I'll see if I can fix that
 | SandwichBubble Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/2aEUVKCw36F7SkZIqSpp1o
 | wtferrothorn Hey man, props for putting that Art album on that 67-17 list, listening to it now and it's some pretty killer stuff!
 | tacos n stuff i gotchuas long as it honestly remains a friendly thing idgaf what you guys do, in the end im just looking for new jams
 | tacos n stuff lmao helping the competition? I thought beef kept you guys alive this whole time
 | tacos n stuff I kinda figured you be stuck on that round, you jam a lot of pop so picking would be naturally a pain in the butt
 | tacos n stuff Not yet! Def will tho, your rec was sweet so im hoping i **** with the others too
 | Papa Universe Best of the Worst Round 2, here we go:http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=1053649
 | Papa Universe Greetings, fellow Sputnik, I do not want to seem intrusive or begging (although heck, that's exactly what I am at this moment), but there is a competition similar to the tacos N stuff one, in which you have to submit the best songs from terrible artists and the thingie needs more people. Please do consider contributing. Much obliged.http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?mode=1
 | bloc Dude I posted my ranking of 3 right after yours in the voting thread and noticed we both added Crossroads and was amazed lol. What are the chances??
 | Calc i did and I unsubscribed to his bandcamp notifications after it. holy god what is he thinking
 | zakalwe It's actually alright, it's probably the best album of the last few years of that sort of s***e
 | Pon come back to the server, you'll have all your tags and the others have been warned
 | Snake. no, i just find all of the 1s for the new CWS to be an over-exaggeration
 | Snake. run for cover produced the future is cancelled too you fvcking dolt
 | rabidfish dude I almost forgot... Check Jah Works International and Dub Syndicate... s***'s sooo good. 'Jah Work Sounds' probs my goat dub track.
 | rabidfish The scientist, king tubby, stuff like that for starters. Do yourself a favor and check some classic dancehall: Yellowman, Barrington Levy, Lone Ranger. It's dope.
 | rabidfish and 2) and the ape-man are personal favorites. Anything from the black ark years is probably dope.
 | rabidfish Check Lee Perry, dude... Megaton Dub (vol. 1
 | rabidfish s'pretty chill yea... Tho I like more bare-bones dub, tbqh... This is more of a raggae-blues-dub joint, which is cool, but not 100% ma thang.
 | wub How old are you?
 | hasan god bless thank you for the good score
 | 50iL Start Shouso, go Kalk after, and then chrono ;)

 | DoofusWainwright What's the vitamin D album? I put the Sweeny into the database too
 | DoofusWainwright Going to check your rec today, have you ever listened to the acoustic version of Prefab Sprout's 'Steve McQueen' album - quite obsessed with it right now. Think you might like it.
 | Anthracks i won't disagree with you there bro
 | dihstyle69 the points you made about damm are the same i did on my first listen, which automatically tells me you didn't dive deep into the project. the album is waaay too far from being basic, you completely missed the point of it. then again, when someone gives the chainsmokers a higher score than father john misty, well... something must be wrong!
 | wtferrothorn u should check my latest list, there's songs on there that I really think you'd like!
 | bleedee ty. it is nice 2 kno that at least someone likes my attempts!!!! makes the effort seem a little more worthwhile idk.
 | bleedee oh no not that, more the "sput needs you" s***, cuz we all know i'm pretty worthtless around thiese parts
 | bleedee as nice a compliment as that may be, i must say it has to be at least slightly disingenuous. much love though. take care. : * : *
 | bleedee can't afford to see a doctor though. just gonna keep to the grind --:} flippin and reuppin, flippin and reuppin. downin and cuttin, downin and cuttin. this finna be MY year.
 | bleedee i think i'm addicted to pain actually lol
 | bleedee i wouldn't say i'm out of it, but i'm definitely not with it atm. life's funny like that. things flip upside-down quicker than you can think. my time is commmmmiiiiiinnnnngggg to annnnn endd ddddddd ! : ) : )))
 | bleedee hey i know i seem like a bad person but i'm sorry about that time
 | DoofusWainwright Lanzarote, my parents have a place out here so try and come out once a year. Proposed to my gf out here this time last year so it's a sort of anniversary.
 | Sinternet maybe i will man, maybe i will. All I ever wanted was to fire those neurons
 | Sinternet does 'Pandora's Musical Box' sound smart enough to you?
 | Sinternet it is being written right now my man, sucks I didn't hate it as much as I thought I would beause I had a clever summary in my head
 | Aberf nice Mastodon ratingu
 | wtferrothorn Both are great, but yea I was talking about parappa
 | wtferrothorn Hope to have you on board next year then! btw love your new av
 | wtferrothorn Thank u bb. Did u apply? If so, you really deserved a spot!
 | Sowing Thinking of bumping it down to a 2
 | Dylan620 Just saw your shout, thanks mate
 | rabidfish thnx they all rather nice so that's a good thing.
 | rabidfish yea it's so chill, like damn... I can't wait for summer to jam this all day ev'ry day.
 | talktothehead Full wanted you in our skype chat do you want to join? We mostly spam and stuff but we do talk bout music occasionally. Can't promise it's SFW though
 | talktothehead yea i was just joking lmao. too be fair i s***post way too much on this site and i was pretty cringe last year. it's a problem, really
 | Gwyn. No, I've heard their album Ritual though and it was pretty good! I don't keep myself up to date with any particular genre, I still spend most of my time digging up old stuff. If it's new and I've heard it's probably because it's really hyped and I wanna know what the fuss is about.
 | guitarded_chuck crazy, ill check it out tonight when i can give it a proper go, thanks dude
 | guitarded_chuck holy s*** dude, the power of memes. that's wild hmu with a link or how to find it i wana see thus
 | Dewinged Yo VaxXi, can I ask you a favor man!? I put up my album on RYM but it seems it needs a vote of a registered user for my artist entry to go through. Do you mind hitting that vote for me dude? Thanks in advance!
 | Dewinged Thanks VaxXi, I'll give it a shot then! I created a RYM profile like last month but the UI was so confusing on mobile that I haven't played with the site much.
 | Dewinged Yeah I added it to Sput myself like last week. It was released Sept last year but I am always reluctant to show it around cause... I don't know man, lack of self confidence I guess. How does it work on RYM? Can I just add it myself?
 | Dewinged Thanks to you man! Saw your dig totally by chance and thought... "whaaaaaat?". Made me really happy ;)
 | Dewinged Hey man, thanks for digging my album! Got a download code for you. Open: www.cdbaby.com/redeem and enter: Q776ZF-ZV1I61 Thanks again VaxXi!
 | wtferrothorn Hey man, just in case you didn't know, there's a new Clap! Clap! album coming out mid next month https://clapclap.bandcamp.com/album/a-thousand-skies
 | onionbubs ill give them a spin. thanks for the rec!
 | onionbubs in that case where should i start with the paper chase?
 | onionbubs ugly organ is pretty good. is domestica not?
 | AsleepInTheBack dont know if you've heard it yet, but check Tender Defender - Tender Defender if you get the chance, solid pop rock with emo elements. Might be up your street given your love for somewhat sad pop rock like Bad Astronaut, though it is quite different
 | Calc no problem man =)))
 | Sinternet oh damn breaks isn't really my forte uhh try Plump Djs maybe
 | wtferrothorn Doesn't necessarily have to be from 2017, but more recent stuff is preferred.
 | wtferrothorn http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?listid=172577 Hey man, you think you could contribute to this. I'm hoping to make this thing a monthly kinda series of lists
 | SandwichBubble Highly recommended! It's probably the best way to find music similar to the stuff you listen to. How else could I find 1970s Baroque Disco: https://www.discogs.com/search/?style_exact=Disco
 | SandwichBubble Damn, that's no good at all (except that Hissing of Summer Lawns find, nice one). Internet's still one of the best sources for music these days, despite what some might say. While I like physical, streaming and rips have made it so much easier than it used to be. If it's a problem with finding new artists or albums, Discogs is great for that (I'm sure you've used it yeah?). I use it more than any other website these days. Getting copies of said albums is the hard part lol
 | SandwichBubble Thank you~ That's really sweet of you to say. "Unique" is debatable though, but I appreciate the compliment! haha Do you have flea markets or swaps in your neck of the woods? A large portion of my music collection comes from there and I always recommend it.
 | SandwichBubble Most newer stuff (1990-present) is from Bandcamp or Spotify cause I can't be bothered. Most older stuff (pre-1990) I find digging around archives, used CDs, old records at swap meets, torrents, and Blogspot posts. Not efficient, but it works. :)
 | Snide Yeah the meds thread exploded though
 | Snide Site calmed down tbh
 | Snide I'm gonna wait on all of my end of the year lists until this drama blows over. I had a review that I was going to post but I'm gonna wait on that as well.
 | Snide Will do fam, I'll let you know how it goes.
 | Snide This entire situation is an absolute nightmare and I'm honestly pretty shocked.
 | LambsBread He's one of my favorite artists, I don't remember listening to/ rating it. The production probably sucked (some of Grimms production is ametuerish)
 | Toad Hopefully I'll get the chance to make more music soon that takes the strongest parts of the ep forward, I would love to see what I can do if I put everything into it.
 | Toad Thanks man! Yeah I never really tried to write good lyrics, always focused more on crafting sparkly pop music. Kind of moved onto poetry at this point and that's getting much better reception so I'm going to follow that for a while. Thanks for the support!
 | unclereich cities is a lot like mc ride imo peep my review on him i better explain it there http://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/60696/Cities-Aviv-Come-To-Life/
 | Frippertronics patiently awaiting reaction to buy. also, lwp vol. 1 review is on the backburnerrrrr
 | unclereich Make sure to jam his whole discog pretty much the most underrated rapper atm. I was permab
 | Angelboros Hey, man! Favorite anythings for me don't necessarily have to be "best", just wanna get that out of the way first. Can't bring myself to choose #1 fav AOTY, so I'll list off what I liked most: Kratos Himself, David Bowie, Buck-Tick, The Heliocentrics, Little Star by messFX, Death Grips, Noname, and A Tribe Called Quest's latest efforts were all solid.
 | Toad of yeah i've heard mf grimm's name thrown around a lot, will check today
 | Toad huh i haven't checked any of that outi like spooky black's stuff quite a bit more than this stuffbeen rifling through doom/vv/geedorah, quasimoto, atmosphere and dalek lately
 | Toad https://soundcloud.com/thestand4rd/sets/thestand4rd-album cloud rap, i had dug it as a bookmark after digging spooky black way more than expected, just starting listening now actually, it's decent so far
 | SteveOffProbation u jus gotta talk into a camera bro, make it about rosenstock somehow too
 | SteveOffProbation pretty good man. finally have access to make music and s***, so my life's basically just been progressing as a s***ty musician, plus I got like a month and a half left before I graduate high school, so I got 0 complaints. how's life been for yaself?
 | SteveOffProbation I probably did but hey, yr in my shoutbox now so yr nothing but a friend in my book :^)
 | Lord(e)Po)))ts Don't think that was me, I'm 99% sure I haven't listened to anything that sounds like a better system of a down ever
 | Frippertronics However, the albums does have its fair share of cheese, but it's quite subdued and for it being recorded in the late 80s, it's to be expected, especially with the 80s sax that's present on a track or two.
 | Frippertronics Was aware of the songs done for Vol. 2 though the intention of it being more dance-oriented kinda gave me a bad vibe, but I may check them out eventually. Favorite track? Either Freedom or They Won't Go When I Go. I'm more familiar with a few of his hits (like Freedom, of course) but mainly the stuff from Wham.
 | Frippertronics easily recognized the hits on the album and read up a bit on the executive meddling on the album, it's a shock he just ditched volume 2 so quickly. It's also more of a surprise he didn't even do that much work in terms of original material. Like three albums worth, yet the legacy says more than enough.
 | Frippertronics my dude, just finished listen without prejudice and i am experiencing the regret of not even considering checking it out until now. **** me dude
 | ZippaThaRippa Hmmm.... maybe something like... Cl0ver? How does that sound? I think it's catchy.
 | ZippaThaRippa Yeah it's a shame that nowadays you only write progressively worse names for yourself
 | onionbubs god thanks for the menzingers rec dude one of my favorite albums right now. so hyped for the new one
 | im not a pussy you fckn jerk
 | i had NO idea u were cl0ver LOL
 | hey loser
 | TVC15 Yeah I never knew you was CL0VER lol
 | DoofusWainwright I liked the first half of the album but then it lost me second half. I'll probably just pick and choose the songs I like in the discog to get an albums worth of stuff I really like. Shame that 'Songs for Mary' is so hard to track down because that sounds really strong, more stripped down
 | DoofusWainwright Did you find a full stream for the 'Songs for Mary' Clem Snide? I'm only finding youtube videos for individual songs. I'm listening to 'Your Favourite Music' which is more a band effort but equally heartbroken sounding
 | DoofusWainwright There's a bit of the Sunhouse magic there, plus a lot of Dylan worship. I'll give one of his full albums a go. Still hoping you'll find another 'Opiates Revised', that album is top 5 'new to me' albums of 2016
 | SandwichBubble Pianist/School Teacher who's debut album was discovered by B-52s frontman Fred Schneider. She's notable for her strange vocal delivery, simplistic melodies, and perfect smile. Basically, she's beautiful and cute and I love her~ | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLLhzxRutpI
 | theBoneyKing I've heard of him yeah, never actually heard any of his work that I'm aware of (or rather I may have heard it but not intentionally).
 | sach lol is this even music xD
 | sach why would you publish it if you find it embarrassing tho?
 | sach explain to me how I doxxed you
 | sach why won't you love me baby doll?
 | Sinternet yeah man i've heard a few of his tracks on proximity, like his style
 | sach no. more that it's not always a case of me being negative from the get-go and rather being harassed into bad habits.
 | sach now you're sorta getting it
 | sach try to be nice -- everyone treats me like s*** -- revert
 | sach notably because of the toxicity of the other users in the thread. not once did I instigate it.
 | sach if you say so I guess. it ain't like I don't get it back in spades. everyone is equally responsible at this point. check how balanced I was on the sputstitution account.
 | sach so wait, the doxxing is my fault, ala being retarded is my fault, racism and the various other forms of intolerance are all my fault? or am I just misinterpreting what you said?
 | sach bro you just need to chill a bit. learn to wear a few hits without feeding. imma leave you as you asked, but jus keep that in mind. you're better than thiiiissss~~~
 | sach never said I wasn't one. just said you're acting a bit below your age
 | sach tell me about the side-effects of your medication bruh. also quite an odd statement given that a lot of users tend to concede that I'm relatively eloquent/smart/whatever. you just throwing back in "self-defence". learn to accept.
 | sach you act as though you're younger than ala (supposedly) is
 | sach if anything that makes the indictment worse lmao. your logic skills are a touch lacking.
 | sach you've proven incompetent in your previous three years so I was just trynna give you a nudge in the right direction. you need a little bit of help, at least.
 | sach how do you expect to improve?
 | sach head to the "real raw g" section
 | sach you should jam some of the stuff on my list. it is equally chill!!!
 | sach why do you sound so angry?
 | sach why did you delte them all?
 | wtferrothorn Posted that Bruno review I wrote that I mentioned earlier if you wanna check it
 | wtferrothorn https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhNxhVx8MBg have you heard this? I didn't even know it existed.
 | wtferrothorn Sorry I didn't get to this earlier. I can give it a quick look
 | wtferrothorn Yeah, that line isn't really a highlight. I just really love the James Brown homage he was going with the track, really pulls it off.
 | wtferrothorn Probably the title track, Perm, and That's What I Like. tbh, the closer is probably my least fave (though it's still good)
