Upon occasion, a group of musicians hit the right notes metaphysically, literally, metaphorically, and spiritually. When such a momentous incident blossoms in the corpus callosum, joy previously on stasis, is rebirthed. Akin to a forgotten memory, this sensation fills up the body. It furthermore releases chemicals that gratify and subdue the stressful mind. Innocence & Instinct is one such musical transcendence, a collection of peace bringing presents.
From the moment of inception, these musicians ignite an unending spark in our hearts. The guitar is heavy like a crushing, natural rainfall, and amidst sweeping symphonics a gentle, yet authoratative figure commands his properly furnished battleship. He commands with poise and vigilance, with a sing-song voice brushing shoulders with angels. Without previously experiencing his voice, his tone nonetheless might be acknowledged as recognizable. Warm and supple, and rife with competency in dynamism is he. Such is the immutability of a heavy metal voice. I would be amiss to not mention his amiable growls - the passion that irks of his demons haunts and enthralls, regailing a story of his torturous losses.
The combination of sights and sounds is immediately potent. Every song caresses, firing tranquilizing rockets into the bosom of the brain cushion. The splendiferous sanctum engineered transcends from its effervescent qualities. Choruses soar among the birds and clouds, proving the incandescent sunshine within the lyrics. The receiver of this musical sensation soars too, persuaded to succumb to the richness of the guitarโs tone. It is a well painted house with no cracks or signs of aging. The drum work, similar to the guitar, shoots an eternally hypnotizing laser beam into our souls. The rhythm brings us one step closer to god - the angels weep in the presence of this music. Naysayers and cretins may scoff at the melodious power within this metal, even dubbing it average. I believe they will yet begin to see a new world rising, for all one needs is Innocence and Instinct.
