Nirvana
Kurt Cobain: Guitar, vocals
Krist Novoselic: Bass
Dave Grohl: Drums
There might be some other drummers on here but I don't know.

Nirvana started an alternative/grunge movement in the 90's. This changed the way music was for awhile, but after the death of Kurt Cobain lead singer and guitarist it slowly changed from the angsty alternative rockers to the happy boybands and poptarts. Nirvana can be very overated sometimes. An example is nevermind. While its a really great album a lot of people give it way too much credit.
On with the review.
Muddy Banks is an awesome album. This is nirvanas second live album. It's a great representation of what nirvana were live. Unplugged is a great cd but a normal nirvana concert it isnt.
There are 3 songs from bleach, 5 from nevermind, 3 from incesticide, 4 from In Utero, and 1 that (at the time of release) was unreleased.
All these songs are very well performed. Lots of feed back from the guitar and noisey solos, strong bass, and sweet drumming. People said that Kurt Butchered the guitar live. I don't think this is true, to me Kurt was a great guitarist live, although sometimes annoying high pitched feed back is heard the solos are awesome. The bass was never really changed that much live but Krist is always good with some nice fills that compliment the guitar and drums nicely. Dave is an awesome live drummer, always on and throwing lots of fills in through out the song. People also say that Kurt had a *** voice. I say: "No way José". Kurt's vocals are aweosme on this cd. Raspy and sometimes mumbled.
This cd has some pretty good tracks on it but it could have had some better in my opinion. I would have liked to hear in bloom, aero zeppelin, and come as you are. The best song on here though is definitly Spank Thru. The bad vocals at the beggining (i think they're supposed to be bad) are pretty funny and the instruments are awesome. It's one of the most energetic songs.
I would suggest this to eiother a semi hardcore fan to a hardcore fan. I wouldn't recomend it as a first nirvana cd though. This cd is raw, loud, got lots of feedback, and raspy vocals, so if you don't like that don't get this.

Recommended Tracks:
Spank Thru
School
Blew
Aneurysm
Scentless Apprentice
Milk It

It just wasn't that good of a review. Very bare. As for the album, some good stuff, but alot of it is horrible, as Kurt is just painful to listen to at times.

and 1 that (at the time of release) was unreleased.

Hmm? Does thou mean Spank Thru? That was available pretty early on. Kurt can get kind of raspy on the vocals here- but then again, that didn't stop me from buying and liking.

Otherwise, it's a fine album and an OK review. If you don't mind one asking, how old are you?
