Review Summary: Smells like something alright.

There once was a lemon-haired boy
So sullen, precocious and coy
In Washington rain
Amid growing pains
He strained for new things to enjoy

Romantic, headstrong and defiant
Of morals dead-set and non-pliant
He dreamt to belong
In orbits of songs
By Pixies and Young Marble Giants

Glam metal seemed awfully bland
A dreg of rock music’s wasteland
A packet of Camel’s
And pre-vintage flannel
He struck out and started a band

Strung out like a little sardine
From Peach Schnapps, Zoloft, caffeine
He screamed from his gut
Of he didn’t know what
But knew that it smelled like a teen

The tune was a smash and a hit
An anthem for an oily zit
The boy raged and raved
Unhappy, un-saved
And generally behaved like a ***

With no other plights to rebut
Than ones in his bratty ol’ nut
The boy spurned the fame
Ditched all the acclaim
And hid in an old stripper’s twat

The introvert dodged the attention
Abhorred all the glory and mention
His half-empty bowl
He made a new hole
For solace or perhaps ventilation.

There once was a man from Peru
Who dreamed he was eating his shoe
He woke with a fright
In the middle of the night
To find that his dream had come true

The reviews may come in a delightfully comedic package, friend. But the ratings and feelings, like Costello's aim are true. A pos to you!

I laughed. I cried. It's beautiful. But you only get an incomplete for now, young man, because I don't see any album recs, and they're sometimes the best part.

I even soiled my underwear, like Patrick Stewart in the last Wolverine movie.

I had other reactions too, but those ones were disgusting.

ok poem, but disagree about rating. Also didn't get that part about the old stripper's twat. Or is that just a metaphor for "god knows where" ?

I believe that our dear friend CC was referring to the beautiful and talented Ms. Love.

For a tuna salad sandwich, I suppose I could bump the rating .0002875859949857857, but that's as high as I go. Final offer.

As enjoyable as this review is, the most mind-blowing thing on this whole page might be the concept of Courtney Love's hey nonny nonny being a metaphor for anything. I think I just heard the sound of one hand clapping.
