Review Summary: So heavy that only the devil can lift it dvv dvv
This album is sick, believe me. For those that don't familiar with Sick Puppies, let's just say that they're 1) some sick mother f***ers, 2) they're as cold as the Ice Road Truckers, and that 3) when they come to your town, the s*** goes down.
But that's just about the artist in general, now on to the album. It's got a really raw quality to it that screams out for more. They've got it all - the vocals, the guitar, the bass, the drums, they've got everything they need to make a band. Just like my uncle paul used to say, "boy you got everything I need to light my fire." And boy do they do it. This album is so good it's almost too good, you know? Like it leaves you feeling so satisfied that you can't even deal with it.
But about the guitar specifically, its really heavy. So heavy only the father of lies could be able to pick it up. Drill down Entertainment was the label that released this album, and boy did they drill it down on this one. Which reminds me of my muddah and lamar. he used to come over and fix the floorboards wit my mudda there. Personally, I like guitars that are loud and in charge - and this album has both. Take "black and blue" for instance, this song is so heavy to the extreme that it actually leaves me black and blue!! thats like breaking the fourth wall.
Another great song is stick to your guns, which is good on different levels. On one level, its about never leaving your roots and always remembering who you are. But it's also about guns, which is really violent. i like to get violent when i listen to this music it calms me. i have so many guns from Ted Sheckler's Friendly Weapon Emporium and its about time that there's some music about the guns that i love.
The sick puppies, they're barking up your tree!!!1
