I decided to review one of taylor's best albums this time

"If you ever listen to taylor swift's third record called Speak Now compared to her other records, it's
not even a damn contest at all! Speak Now has all the best hits and some of the best songs of her entire
career, including the new album especially. Let us be totally honest here, this is her last country album
at all. Her next album Red and the followed 1989 are NOT country in the slightest. I dont even like the
country music genre that much but she needs to stick to her roots or else her fans will start to hate her
and it seems like that is already starting to happen!
But anyway, on the album itself. The first great song comes crashing in at number 2: Sparks Fly. Now let
me be totally honest here. The lyrics aren't that great. "I see sparks fly, whenever, you smile". Come on?
That's pretty lazy song writing. But what makes it a great great song is how she makes a special melody
around it. It has a great tune to it and couldn't be found on the rest of the album.
The rest of the songs are mostly amazing as well. Every body has heard Back to december and Mean and they
are certainly classics. But what you may havent heard is the song Haunted. It is personally one of my
favorites and the violins fit the name greatly.
The wrost song on the album is Long Live which is the closer. It is not a bad song but certainly a little
too long than it needs to be. Overall the album is one olf my favorite country albums of all time even if
it has a little bit of pop music thrown in too."
this is everything wrong with this review

actual criticism - it seems as if you're writing this on a whim, and rushing it. take your time in writing a coherent piece of writing and not something so juvenile. You have far too many grammar and punctuation errors, you have trouble keeping a decent flow between each paragraph, and waste far too much time talking about three/four songs instead of the album as a whole. It looks as if you're trying to write something akin to a tbt, but it just doesn't work. Not to mention, it all looks crafted by opinion alone.

Did you even try and edit this? You know those red squiggly lines that will show up in any whatever word processing software you happen to use? They're not good things, you don't get points for the more you have

What's up with the terrible T Swift reviews today?

"Come on? That's pretty lazy song writing."
This is pretty lazy reviewing
|

He seems to be trying though, based on his comments. You're not a bad person, Dan. Try reading a few staff reviews on here
if you want to give this whole reviewing thing another shot!
Idk why when I edit my comments I get random line breaks.

Try to flesh out your reviews more, this reads more like a long casual comment in a discussion about the album than it does a review. Like deathschool said, based on your comments you actually seem to be trying, so if you're serious about bulking up your reviews and developing an actual voice as a writer, try submitting here first: http://www.sputnikmusic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=577035
