Review Summary: Raw, edgy and iconic. ''A classic Punk Rock album''.
Punk Rock is born and music will never be the same again. The Stooges were often criticized by their distorted sound, out of control antics, drugs/alcohol addictions. No one thought that they would be a staple in music and especially, too live on like legends. Fun House is a combination of Punk Rock with distorted amps and Garage Rock with lots of edge. Their previous release ''The Stooges'' Had a decent impact based on it's unusual affects and acts of rawness, that was very different and unique, ''based on Psychedelic culture'' For early Punk Rock albums, most of the material was recorded live, based on how the album sounded, live brought more energy and emotion to the distinct sound that is clever, powerful and hard to grasp the connections it had with people.
Fun House is a very energetic record, the album is filled with furious attitude. Iggy Pop's vocals are still very unique and quite the surprise, using different structures and energizing crowds with his charisma and just his insane antics, getting high on acid, getting into meat dresses and getting lost in crowds. Repetitiveness does get quite annoying with many records, however with Fun House, It drives you to many possibilities and it's addicting, raw and perfection in every sort. Fun House is often known as musical crashes that contains a broad of sensible power and will. ''Executing negativity, turning into such a statement in each track it assembles and values. Every member playing as hard, loud and fast as they ever believed of. The Stooges Talent is often describe as erratic, strange and satisfying, in such valuable purposes.
Fun House uses many different ideals and elements like having a Saxophonist named Steve McKay. Which it brought versatility to the Punk Rock sound, adding different brands of instruments that a genre that is just played really fast, with tons of aggression. The musicianship on here is excellent, every member plays with 100% power and dignity, Ron Asheton's clever mind on guitar, was his technique to make it sound so crunchy, loud and his unpredictable leads and rhythms, A excellent backbone for such a classic album. Scott Asheton is the Drummer of The Stooges and also the brother of Ron Asheton. Scott had a define strength, keeping up with every beat, loosing his soul on every pound and fill that he smashed. Scott Asheton's energy is still timeless and forever will be, a purpose in such an iconic standard. Bass in Punk Rock, is plain old nasty, ''Dave Alexander really brought the emotion of The Stooges, he is often overlooked, the more you hear it, His bass techniques are often ridiculously flawless. Every member really holds tightly with free judgment, freedom and political power that shows people that they need to be fierce, bold and to not be so afraid to face out your opinions.
''Fun House is a very influential album'' not just in Punk Rock, but in other styles too. It taught artists to let loose and be free, too never be afraid to show your character and attitude. Each track is intense, soulful and pure justice, how the songs pursue and to feel the overall passion of Punk Rock and its culture. Just be prepared, to listen too such a powerful record that will carry you in a totally different perspective, it will guide through a journey of musical aspects.
