first review. hope u like it.

Nirvana:
Kurt Cobaine- Guitar/Mouth
Krist(Chris) Novoselic- Bass
Dave Grohl- Drums
theres also maybe two (maybe more maybe less) other drummers who played on this album.

Heres the review:

1. Dive- Starts out with a nice bass, nothing complicated then the drums and guitar come in. Nice drum beat and a guitar riff very similair to the bass (if not the exact same). The lyrics are written very well. The solo is nothing big but its really good. This song is put together well. personally i love this song. 4.5/5

2. Sliver- Is another one that starts with bass. The bass is really awesome and once again its not complexe in any way. The guitar and drums come in on the chorus (the drums just hit hi-hat in the verse). And the guitar fits well with the bass not playing the exact same thing but close to it. the drums are very good in this song. This is one of my favorite songs. 5/5

3. Stain- Has a nice distortion guitar that doesnt drowned out the bass, which i like. The lyrics are written very well. The solo is really awesome its the normal kurt cobaine solo. This song is really awesome. Pretty good track. 4/5

4. Been a Son- I like this song but not a lot. Its very well written and i love the lyrics. The instruments are awesome. I like how the bass goes in the chorus. Theres also a bass solo. which is awesome and distorted. The drums are also very good. The guitar is pretty cool too. 3.5/5

5. Turnaround- this is a Devo cover. Its very good. I like the lyrics and the instruments blend well. The bass has distortion on here again. The bridge is cool when the bass and drums are alone and the guitar does a cool strumming thing every few beats. This is a great song. 4/5

6. Molly's Lips- This is a vaselines cover. It consists of the same two chords played in the same order and same timing the whole way through. But its not repetitive at all. Its very catchy and a nice song. I really like the vaselines and nirvana did a good job on this song. 4/5

7. Son of a Gun- Another vaselines cover. The lyrics are well written in this song. And the instruments fit well. The bridge consists of the guitar doin a variation on the verse and then the guitar and bass going up an octave and doin the same thing. Nice song. I didnt like it at first but it grows on you. 4/5

8. (New Wave) Polly- I dont like this song too much. Its the exact same as the normal polly (i think) just sped up, and truned electric. Its not terrible but its definitly the worst song on the album (and its still good). It has a lot of energy, and its a nice listen but not a stand out track. 3/5

9. Beeswax- Nice drum intro. Then the guitar and bass come in with a really cool guitar riff (im not if the bass does the same thing). You cant make out much of what kurt says but man this songs awesome. Its one of my favorites. The bridge is really cool. Not very long though. But if it were long it would be repetitive and annoying. Its an awesome song. 4.5/5

10. Downer- Starts with a fast bass and fast drums. The guitar is really good because it doesnt dominate the song (if played the whole time it probably would). You cant make out much of wat klurts saying but its still awesome. 4/5

11. Mexican Seafood- I love this song. The guitar is the best on the whole cd in my opinion. The bass and drums fit perfectly. And kurts lyrics somewat comprehensible. The bridge is the best though. This song is my favorite one on this album. The outro is really cool too. 5/5

12. Hairspray Queen- Starts with an awesome funky bass line. The guitar is really sweet in this song. With a really grungey sound. The drums are nothing complicated but they fit the bass line perfect and the bass line fits the guitar so so do the drums. The way kurt sings in this song is really awesome. Its really unique. But not the bad unique. The solo is just a normal kurt solo. Its not a very long solo. This is an awesome song. 4/5

13. Aero Zeppelin- This song is really awesome. Its got really good lyrics. They're very catchy and you can understand the words. I like the drums in this song a lot. Theyre perfect for it. The instruments are the best wen theres no singing. It gets into really cool playing. This is one of the best songs on this album. 4.5/5

14. Big Long Now- Starts out with a spookyish guitar then the drums and bass come in and it blends perfectly. Kurt mumbles the verse in a voice that matches the spooky feeling perfectly. The bridge is really cool. The song loses its spooky feeling a bit and kurt screams but not loud screaming. Then it goes back to the spooky feeling wen kurt goes: ooooooh.
This song is very well written. The lyrics are really good for the song. For the outro they just play the verse and slow it down as they go. Its really good. 4/5

15. Aneurysm- This song is sweet. I love how its played. Theres 4 different parts that arranged really well. The drums stand out to me in this song. This song always makes me wanna jump around and s h i t when i play it. Its loaded with energy and theres cool bass fills in the verse, and the drums do a cool tom thing. The lyrics are very simple and there aren't much but theyre really awesome. This is a really good song. 4.5/5

I really suggest buying this cd if your a grunge fan. It shows nirvana at their best (maybe with the lights out does but i dont own that so i dont know) in my opinion. B-sides have always been my favorite stuff. This album is my personal favorite. I listen to it a whole lot.
Hope u liked the review.

Ok first review, but edit it so that you use "you, are, and one" instead of," u,r, and 1"

Im not a big Nirvana fan but my guitarist loves this album, and some of the tracks are pretty good. We do a cover of Anurism too.

Not a bad review. I'm a huge Nirvana Nerd, I know my shit about them and I know this is a fantastic album regardless of the fact that it's a B-Sides album. You're right about the Turnaround original artist, it was Devo.

On top what everyone else said, you don't justify a "classic" rating well. It could easily be a 3.5 or 4 by the way you described the album, it's not good to be generous with ratings.

If you tally up all your song ratings only four or so are 5/5. I beleive at a 4 maybe a 3.5 would be more resonable on this album rating.Aswell as on the review paragraph on the song Dive, you spelt "nothing" and then you spelt it "nuthing" a couple sentences later. Work on your rating and some spelling/punctuation maybe get a little more friendly comments, but besides that I thought i was good. No worries

Bad review, best Nirvana album. Actually, the only one I still enjoy. Not a 5/5 though. Nevermind is a 5/5 because it's truly a classic, not because I like it. Incesticide gets a 4/5 for just being a great album.

I don't think this album is as good as other people say it is. In Utero and Unplugged smash this to bits. Good review, and welcome to the site

Aye^

I find In Utero a tad overrated because 5 songs on it are noise tracks. It's lyrically better than Nevermind, and the hits are better then Nevermind's, but Nevermind is more solid. This is not anything spectacular.

Incesticide is a real gem - a must for any nirvana fan! It is on par with In Utero for musical enjoyment! Sliver and Aneurysm are my faves.. and thats all I gotta say really... not really an album as has been mentioned ALOT but I'm hovering around the 4/5 for this!

Incesticide is an amzing B-side album, probably the best collection i've heard anyway. Not a very good review - when I'm writing I try to imagine It's a genuine article in a magazine. Also, you describe the songs very vaguely - you don't justify your points about the tracks. i.e.

starts out with a nice bass, nothing complicated then the drums and guitar come in. nice drum beat and a guitar riff very similair to the bass (if not the exact same).

why? where? how? emotion? style? still, trial and error is the best way forward!

P.S Emphasis on punctuation and spelling from most peoples comments.

This review has problems but everyone else has been constructively criticizing you on the right areas. Still it's not necessarily a BAD review.

I like Nirvana but have never heard one of their albums, jsut a few random songs. I've got a burn of Nevermind pending for me tho.

Incesticide is my fave nirvana album for def, the review was a bit too general though. From reading what you wrote, most of the songs are described in pretty much the same way.

No way in hell. Just try and argue with me that the shit on Shenanagins was better than Insomniac and Dookie.

This is a good one. Aneurysm is without a doubt one of their best songs. Although I think Nirvana is HEAVALY overated, they are still a great band.
