DEXCORE [Metempsychosis.]
Quite The sized album, a double album with both discs being a little over an hour.

Disc 1 is absolutely fantastic, a very rare case for a band to sound this unique and not like
"very clearly influenced by X band" on their first album much less in the genre of metalcore. The
softer tracks here are fantastic too and do not halt the album. One of the best releases all Year

Disc 2 is a mixed bag, its a re-recording of older songs, which are decent to solid, there are a
few good ones like "I'm President" "black pig" (though I prefer the original version still), and
the la
lynch. ULTIMA
There is no denying the heavy tracks slap hard, and the 2 ballads work in being sentimental. but the standard j-rock Vk tracks dominate the album (at least half the album is this) and it is the glaring weakness of the album especially with how forced they sound (very obvious GazettE influence that is a bit of a mixed bag). "Aster" is an example of this by being a very stereotypical J-rock song that bores one to tears. With all of that out of the way, the moments where this album is able to pull punches it succeeds in landing them on the listener. This may grow on me, but as of right now i see a decent-slightly above-average j-rock release tha
Loona 12:00
It is not much of a change from their style, but it is fun proof of "if ain't broke... don't fix it". There is an increase of rapping which works very well in favor of 12:00 and is one of the highlights here.
exist trace Ambivalent Symphony
'Ambient Symphony' is an underrated VK gem that is the start of ExistTrace's change in sound.
there are heavy songs like "RENESONCE" and the start of the out of left field tracks like the
strangely titled "Wrath" (being its the softest song on the EP) There is a lot of this that falls
under some older VK tropes, but it does it so well
exist trace The Only Garden
"EXISTENCE" is absolutely fantastic and is a great mash of their older style and the current
direction the band is in, it is sure to make old and new fans happy. Then you have the rest of
this EP, which if I am going to be 100% I was disappointed by. The rest of the songs here just
sound like B-sides or cuts on an album that are to the middle back end, making the whole thing
just seem like a one really big maxi single. do not get me wrong, the other songs are not bad or
anything like that, just they seem to be so played safe, even the 'oh look we are doing something
out of style' track is like t
Sokoninaru 超越 (CHOETSU)
It sounds nice, and the last few songs are the best here. I just wish this was a bit more memorable then it ended up being
formed during the COVID-19 pandemic, GUNIX shows immense promise on their debut wearing influences of the likes of Fear, and loathing in Las Vegas and blood stain child on their sleeve, with a nu-metal twist. There is a lot that needs to be developed and ironed out, but on this debut, GUNIX has its direction down. Looking forward to how this group's career trajects!

  • TheSonomaDude I'm sorry you had to check it out lol, I actually got in touch with the rapper vocalist and he seems very cool but is openly embarrassed by Lie Or Liar

  • TheSonomaDude To answer your question, I don't really have another suggestion for your nu-metal list. Their EP used to be online but upon further inspection it seems the vocalistd their entire facebook and bandcamp pages a few years back. However, every song on the EP can still be found invidiually on YouTube. It goes: 1. PARANOIC 2. Forget My Name 3. D1RT 4. This Is Permenent 5. Broken 6. Monster (Eminem cover). They're all on the LoL youtube page but song 6, but if you search 6 it's uploaded

  • DaHound Yeah I mean I know people don't like him so it's all good. Maybe it helps that I got into him in high school and it was kinda right place right time haha. The lengths are a bit overblown but I've always preferred long albums in general and I would rather hear any material I can from an artist than not.

  • DaHound ... and it was all over from there. Idk I just adore his voice I think he's such a talented singer and if you look beyond the autotune you can hear it. Anyway that's my life story thanks for listening.
