ExpandingFlan Hey! Sorry haha I never saw your shoutbox post until today. I'm from India, was in Bangalore between 2015-21 for college/work and was (still very much am) really into the fusion scene. In a band myself, called Project Mishram! What about you? We seem to like similar Indian bands, and I remember reading your Pineapple Express review years ago! November 22 01:43 PM
kildare Usually it's a judgement on the producers for not playing more music by the bands. Probably everything on Toxicity deserves more air time, but its just Chop Suey again. Same with Disturbed's and Korn's best albums. I fall into a "only underground music is good" trap pretty easily, but it's usually this problem I have with overplaying, not the music. And as an artist you definitely want to play music you know the crowd is going to rock to. That's really all that matters! July 12 02:58 AM
kildare Being in a band sounds like a total kick. The SOAD recs you gave me were great. Actually I know Chop Suey really well, I just didn't know who it was by. But the other two went straight on my nu-metal playlist. I can't speak for anyone else, but if you ever read me dissing radio-friendly music in a comment, it's almost never a quality judgement. kildare Hey SitarHero, just in case you?re on the lookout for underground bands that sound a little like SOAD but didn?t make it, I discovered and mentioned one ? SLOTH ? in my third comment below my 7-9-24 b12 list. Just FYI. Thought it was kind of a coincidence given our previous chat July 9 07:11 PM
Dewinged Gotcha. No worries, just send a reminder to me or Gnocchi when the time comes, so we can include it. Good luck with the album! April 12 01:40 AM
