Elysia's iconic "Masochist" album, a staple in the Deathcore scene, has received a remastered release. This edition, with new artwork by Alexandre Goulet (All Out War, Ion Dissonance, Despised Icon) and a remaster by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, was pressed in 1,090 copies. However, with only 50 copies left, fans are rushing to secure their piece of this coveted release.
The package includes a 24-page booklet with lyrics, photos, and insights from vocalist Zak Vargas, alongside bonus tracks offering demos and unreleased recordings. As original copies fetch high prices, this release offers fans an affordable way to own a copy of the album.

South African slamming tech deathcore outfit Vulvodynia surprises with their latest single, marking guitarist Lwandile Prusent's vocal debut. Released via Unique Leader Records, the title track is a preview of their upcoming album, "Entabeni," set to drop on July 5th.
Michigan's Pillar of Light prepare to unveil their debut album, "Caldera," slated for launch on Transcending Obscurity Records later this year. Alongside this announcement, they've just dropped the single "Wolf to Man" from the upcoming album:
In their statement, the band expressed, "Caldera took form over several years and embodies the collective sense of loss and instability of our times. Each song is its own journey through the depths of human emotion and follows a narrator desperate to find reason in madness, purpose in destruction, and wisdom in futility."
Kansas City hardcore punk band Burning Bush has just released its first demo tape. The group includes members of the now-defunct Devil's Den, Blindside USA, Piss Kinks, Liquid Swords, and Prüde. The six-song, seven-minute tape was released through Ohio hardcore label Delayed Gratification (known for past releases from En Love, Rejoice, Prevention/Anklebiter, and Slug). A release show in Kansas City, Missouri is happening at Howdy (6523 Stadium Dr.) on Friday, May 24 featuring fellow Midwest acts Prevention, Slug, and Stakes Is High.
Legendary American record producer and musician Steve Albini has died of heart attack at his studio May 7th aged 61.
Albini's legacy is way too big to describe in one news item. As well as being the frontman of Shellac and Big Black, Albini was famous for his work as a studio engineer and producer. He recorded Nirvana’s In Utero, Pixies’ Surfer Rosa, PJ Harvey’s Rid of Me and many, many more iconic albums.
Shellac's LP To All Trains, the band's first in 10 years, is scheduled to be released next week, and the band was preparing for a tour.
2024, the year that keeps on giving! Swancore legends Dance Gavin Dance are set to support universally loved outfit Falling in Reverse on the "Popular Monstour 2" (a sequel tour named after a single released five years ago). Unfortunately, Dance Gavin Dance recently removed their excellent and well-respected vocalist: as such, it is presently unknown whether a clean or dirty vocalist will perform with the band. It is known that Ronnie Radke will be fronting Falling in Reverse. It is also known that attendees of this excellent package will be treated to a Black Veil Brides performance as well. Some other supports have also been added to the lineup, none of which are or have ever had a normal interaction with a woman either.
Response to this announcement has been overwhelming, with longtime fans nicknaming it the "cover your drink tour" and stating that "this is comedy at this point". It is technically possible to buy tickets to this tour.
96 Bitter Beings, the band fronted by ex-CKY songwriter and vocalist Deron Miller have debuted a track from their upcoming 3rd album, which is a compilation of redos on old CKY songs.

Knocked loose may be gearing up to release their new album You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To next month, but they sure are not taking the foot of the gas with their latest single "Suffocate".
Enlisting the help of Alt-Pop superstar Poppy, Bryan Garris and Co. have continued a winning streak of singles, a special nod was made to all reggaeton fans with what can only be described as the most violent Tresillo in history at around the 2 minute mark.
As for the collaboration process itself, the Kentucky quintet said "The song is about 'someone stabbing you in the back,” Guitarist Isaac Hale added about working with Poppy, “It was so fun because her voice allowed us to expand our palette and do some weird, off-the-wall things that we maybe wouldn’t do in another song. We felt that because we had Poppy’s voice involved, it allowed us to kind of push the boundaries of what we thought was feasible.”
