01.09.13 The 5 Most Fantastic Megadeth Albums Ra

The 5 Most Fantastic Megadeth Albums Ranked

Megadeth have made a lot of albums and they've tried many styles along rthe way. This list rrrrdoes not favor one style over another but simply looks at rthe overall quality of the record.
5Megadeth
Hidden Treasures

Hidden Treasures is a collection of cover songs and original Megadeth material. The
covers are great and are all good fun. But the originals are the real treasures
here (pun intended) and I wouldn't have included this record if it had been a
covers album only. The Megadeth songs on here are really some of their forgotten
gems.
They were made during the Countdown - Youthanasia era with the second classic
line-up and there's some real speedy scorchers here as well as one of their best
ever melodic mid-tempo songs here. This is one sweet package.
4Megadeth
Countdown To Extinction

Countdown is quality from a to z and also so much more! CTE is unique because it's
focuses mostly on songs that are mid-tempo and technical. The only slight lacking
on
this record is more of a ambitous approach to structure of the songs like the top 3
albums on this list. It's obvious they removed some exciting elements from
the album if you listen to the three demos that come with the remasteres version
of the album. But however this record features some of their best and most well
songs and it delivers on musicianhip and songwriting.
3Megadeth
Youthanasia

Youthansia...hmmm..even the title suggest this might be something unusual. And it
is unusual and good too! First off the song writing is top notch on Youthansia,
the songs are strong and brimming with original and fresh ideas. The vast majority
of the songs have the most badass styles of heavy metal style riffing but with
a twist that only Mr. Mustaine has all his own unique style to produce. The groove
and melody are what dominate this collection of songs with riffs and sections
that are so unique as far as metal goes that a few sections would sound
comfortable on a hardcore hip-hop album from the mid 1990s and I mean that in the
best possible way in the world.
2 Megadeth
Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?

This record is a menace. It's pure thrash and heavy metal from the eighties. But
don't be mistakan this is not any average thrash sounding with standard thrash
riffs. Megadeth musicianship puts this record in a category of it's own. Between
the jazz fusion drumming and next level riffing and soloing this results in a
very exciting thrash metal record that is steeped in atmosphere.
1Megadeth
Rust In Peace

Rust In Peace has all the speed and agressiveness of the most ferociousness
Megadeth albums. What makes this record stand at the top is it's originality and
vibe.
Unusual riff and time signatures are all over this record and the speed and tight
playing impresses greatly. Another great aspect the record is the production.
You can hear all the instruments and it just sounds fresh and exciting.
