09.13.13 | Cool, but I think 8 should be higher |
Muisc4Life26
09.13.13 | It's all solo. So no Jimmy Page,Duane Allman,Keith Richards,etc. |
Greyvy
09.13.13 | no robert johnson ur gay and bbking is the best out of this list |
Muisc4Life26
09.13.13 | Haven't really heard much from him. Yea, you're right. He is one of the most influential ever. However, i got to hear a lot from him. Maybe i'll put him on their. |

09.13.13 | Nice list, I would suggest you to check Freddy King, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson and Willie Dixon, if, that is, you haven't already.
Also, this list needs more Peter Green. |

09.14.13 | I love Freddy King and Muddy Waters. I only heard a little from Robert Johnson and i never listened to Willie Dixon. |

09.14.13 | good list. 7 is my fav |

09.14.13 | 1 and 4 are WAY too high imo. In fact I doubt either of them would make my top 10. Nothing against SRV, he just lacks the
feel of a lot of other blues players for me.
List needs Peter Green (probably number 1 for me).
Albert King > B.B. King imo so I agree with your ranking there. |
JamieTwort
09.14.13 | Nice album choice for 9 btw. One of my personal favourites of his. |

09.14.13 | Nice topic. The blues need more love on here. The list is sweet but I'd recommend to check the following if you haven't already:
JJ Cale (laid back approach to the blues)
Johnny Winter (best white bluesman? The guy is a beast)
Luther Allison (Chicago blues, very underrated)
R. L. Burnside (Delta, underrated, check his early stuff)
Fenton Robinson (Somebody Loan Me a Dime is on par with BB King's best) |

09.15.13 | Great picks. |
IbenizGEO1
09.15.13 | Buddy Guy
edit: nvm didnt see him on the list. dont know i how i didnt. |

09.15.13 | John Lee Hooker, and Robert Johnson

Im in shock... |

09.15.13 | BB King is too low |

09.15.13 | no Johnny Winters?? Wtf |

09.15.13 | "Im in shock..."
Haha, I love both as you know and nothing's changed, they're just not up there with my all time favourite blues guitarists. |
BigBlob
09.16.13 | I can understand saying that for Bonamassa as he is still young.... But SRV? :/ the guy plays with the most amount of passion. |
Donchivo
10.14.13 | dunno, this list without Robert Johnson is just somehow incomplete.... also I'd like to see more classic Blues Players like Leadbelly and Muddy Waters. What about John Fogerty and Mark Knopfler on the "modern" side?
|
JamieTwort
10.14.13 | Robert Johnson is a legend and was incredibly influential but I can kinda understand why someone wouldn't include him on a list that is purely based on guitar playing (assuming that is the case with this list). Although I would have picked him over a couple of these. |
BigBlob
10.14.13 | Those peppers are red hot, yeah it's gotta be said. |
Donchivo
10.14.13 | Well it IS his furious and revolutionary guitar playing that made him the legend he is! But yeah, it all boils down to personal preferences of course... |
NeroCorleone80
10.14.13 | Needs more Robin Trower |
BigBlob
10.14.13 | "Nothing against SRV, he just lacks the feel of a lot of other blues players for me."
Arrrrhhhhh. even now this comment still makes me get all confused and angry XD |
JamieTwort
10.14.13 | lol, I can't really explain it in any better than that tbh. His playing is great but I just don't feel the intense sadness and emotion that I hear in say, Peter Green's guitar playing. |
BigBlob
10.14.13 | hmm. maybe could say that about his studio albums, but as far as live performances go, the emotion he shows is incredible. Such as Lenny live at El Mocambo |
manosg
10.14.13 | SRV's feels are unquestionable but it's his blend of Texas blues that may not seem so emotional to some. BigBlob has a point concerning SRV's studio material. |
