Graduating Tomorrow

My time at high school is over as of tomorrow. Unlike everyone of my age pretends I openly love high school and will be sad to leave a place full of fantastic teachers and some brilliant friends. Just as I'd been expecting for a year now, the final days have been full of fun and good memories but also a lot of bittersweet goodbyes. Monday was the final time we had each of our class, and so there were a few emotional farewells to teachers that we'll all probably see in like a week's time anyway. On the plus side, every subject had a party, the best memories of the day being the english class grooving to Smooth Criminal, eating octopus in ancient history (it was surprisingly good) and playing a high-stakes, intense game of blackjack in maths. On Tuesday the whole year group went down to Manly Beach, had a great time and generally frollicked about on and near the beach for the day. Today was the muck up day which mainly involved water-balloon fights and having a hoedown dance battle to the Cat Empire. Anyway I won't go into any more details because I doubt anyone cares too much, but here's to six killer years at high school with friends and foes, here's to not completely failing the exams, and here's to hopefully another killer couple of years in university before we are swallowed by the soul-destroying machine known as life. *raises imaginary wine glass* list is the 31 tunes in the playlist that friends and I were grooving to for most of the day which will always remind me of high school days

The Wine Song - I have a feeling that, for the rest of my life, no song can ever make me as instantly happy, contented, ecstatic, joyous or whatever as this song does. From old memories of playing COD Zombies (yeah its tough being a gangsta) with my friends in years 7-9 while this song, and every other Cat Empire song were playing in the background, to the freshest memory in my mind right now which is a six-way hoedown battle between me and six of my friends while this song is playing. There was simply no way more fitting to finish our high school lives than this beast right here. Rest in peace our young, happy selves, and welcome to the world the mature and responsible us. (lol just fucking joking maturity is for suckers)
