04.11.23 | List is concerts that I now may/may not be going to but have tickets for. Ok, well Pantera/Lamb of God show I am not missing, but the rest I will have to see how the hell to do this with new job.
At least I just saw Static-X and Fear Factory, would have been pissed if I had to miss that one. |

04.11.23 | Lmfao thanks my dudes
I'm super pumped - Spiritbox is on a Monday so that's gonna be extra nuts rushing to the city then rushing back to upstate at night, then waking up and being a human
But I might do it |

04.11.23 | I remember you debating grad school...
Congrats on the jump! What'd you end up jumping to, if you don't mind me asking? Totally out of appraisal? |
DarkSideOfLucca
04.11.23 | Thanks!!!
And yeah, I've been debating grad school since the second I stepped out of undergrad lol. I kept putting it off saying "oh I'm still young, I'll take the GREs when I have more money and time," and so forth. Then 9 years passed and I was still in the same safe position.
I seriously considered it these past couple of months since I was several years past the point of feeling completely stagnant and useless, but after talking to people in real life, actually talking to people on here and really thinking about it, it doesn't seem like it would be worth it for me.
I'm transitioning from appraisal review in the financial industry, but it's for a very reputable company with a lot of room for growth and it actually seems like something that's much more interesting to me than what I am doing now.
I have been interviewing like twice a day for 5 months so now I feel like I can actually breathe.
Edit: if I do go back to grad school, now at least I know the company would pay for it and it would be to get a higher salary right after, so it's not quite as aimless |

04.11.23 | very good stuff, yo. Happy for you! |

04.11.23 | Keep it up man. I'm in a similar situation. I've been at my job for 9 years now and I'm 33. I'm great at my job, I like all the people here, but I've interviewed to move up multiple times. They implemented almost everything I said that would improve the company in my interviews without giving me the job. The higher up people just bring in people that they know from previous companies that they worked for. Not to sound arrogant, but I seriously know the business better than all of them. It's a matter of fact. I know my worth. I'm gonna start applying elsewhere soon. But good luck to you man! |

04.11.23 | @Deadguy - We are the exact same age, and that is completely identical to what I went through.
Are you me? |

04.11.23 | Yes, this is your consciousness speaking to you right now. None of this has been real the whole time. |
