Deconstruction is an album for me that clicked almost instantly and its interesting to note this sort of affection seldom lasts a lifetime. Townsends best works have proven to be material often described as a grower; stuff that doesn't manifest its magnitude upon initial listens. Then you have to factor in the placing of each album in context of its sequencial release. How did the artist evolve from prior works? How did it compare to the genre at the time? I hardly enjoy City at all present day, but it was certainly eons ahead of its time when released...97 i believe. Anyways, what im trying to say is this list is my humble opinion and only accurate for the day I published it. |
