08.11.25 | Agalloch and Infected Mushroom, what a combination lol. If you’re visiting Portland you gotta eat some food. If you like Chinese I recommend Xin Ding Dumpling House on 2nd Avenue near the river. While you’re there visit 2nd Avenue Records right up the street for some cool shirts/vinyl. If you find yourself over closer to the Belmont area hit up Hawthorne/Belmont street for tons of thrift store shopping/record stores/food. If you like books go to the big Powell’s in the heart of downtown. Portland Mercado was another favorite eat spot for me if you like Central/South American food. If you have time drive into the Gorge for some hiking. You’ll run into about 20 waterfalls on the way towards the East end of the Columbia. Hope you have fun! |

08.11.25 | RVAHC13, a delightfully bizarre combo for sure haha. I don't get a lot of shows where I live so it's like...if I'm travelling for a few days I might as well make the most of it in whatever way I can.
Thanks for the suggestions, that all sounds really great and I'll be sure to write it down! Food and books, two of my favorite things |

08.11.25 | Nvm on the Mercado it burned down apparently. If you’re on foot you can take the light rail to pioneer square, that’ll drop you pretty much right in the heart of downtown. Just watch out for all the vagrants, you will probably get shouted at a few times fair warning. Also stay away from Chinatown |

08.11.25 | Sounds good but didn't they break up when john haughm fired everyone for wanting to spend time with their families? |

08.11.25 | "Nvm on the Mercado it burned down apparently" RIP
I'm actually staying right downtown and I did call the place to ask if it was relatively safe. I can handle being shouted at, but I'd rather Uber places if my physical safety is gonna be at risk.
I'll add "avoid chinatown" to my notes haha thank you
Ephemeral - I mean...I'd say that's an ungenerous but not wildly inaccurate characterization of what happened. It was a pretty rough split but I think in retrospect they've all agreed that the band was burning out and needed to take a break |

08.11.25 | Portland is basically food town central.
Hawthorn Asylum for all the food carts is a must, can't go wrong with either but I always go to Smaaken. Screen Door is a good fancier option. Fried Egg I'm In Love is a fantastic breakfast joint (if you don't mind a line). |

08.11.25 | I forgot about the asylum! Man that place was good. I used to go to this cart on Foster road that had fried halibut fish and chips it was fantastic |
