An Album Per Genre

due to the massive amount of list that have nothing to do with music, and because im bored.
1Death
Human

You cant have Death Metal with Death, these may very well be the best DM in history. Chuck's vocals were top notch, intelligent lyrics, kickass solos, if you dont like this then you dont like Death Metal, period.
2Mouth Of The Architect
Quietly

Hard to express what i feel about this album, its my all time favourite, the more i listen to it, the more i like it. Also this is what got me into Sludge Metal in the first place, every song is packed with anger, takes a good listen for someone to understand just how fucking brilliant this is.
3Blut Aus Nord
Memoria Vetusta I - Fathers Of The Icy A

Blut Aus Nord sure changed theyr sound over the years, before they started playing these recent dark ambient/somewhat slow and repetitive Black Metal, theyr albums used to have not only great riffs, some melodic elements and the usual BM raw production. Memoria Vetusta is perhaps one of the best Black Metal albums ever released. Besides the riffs, the whole atmosphere through this album, the choir that somehow manages to creep me out, a prime example of a type of music often described as 'disgusting' gonne beautiful.
4Isis
Oceanic

fuck..
5Dark Tranquillity
Damage Done

This is probably the best Melodeath band ever, all the other albums range from decent to awsome. These guys managed to change theyr sound without alienating the fans, whether the old sound was better or not is arguable but the quality in the music isnt, this album is fast, riffs will tear you to pieces.
6Blind Guardian
A Night At The Opera

BG slowly changed theyr sound to Power Metal over time, after the concept album Nightfall in Middle-Earth, they presented us with this masterpiece. Not only they have whats most likely to be the best lead singer in a metal band, the music is fast, lyrics are smart and dont abuse the 'cheese' factor. The choir is also a great addiction to the album, a must listen.
7Brutal Truth
Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses

Every song is a massive grind attack, get this.
8Ea
Ea II

Album is so obscure that its kinda hard to describe it, these guys play a slow, depressive Funeral Doom Metal.
9Testament
Practice What You Preach

OH FUCK YES, THEM RIFFS!
10 Jarovit
??? ???????? (Simargl's Call)

Prolly the best Pagan Black Metal band ive ever heard, every element in theyr music is top notch.
11Devil Sold His Soul
Blessed & Cursed

Shame on you if you havent heard this album yet.
12Advent
Remove the Earth

Hardcore has never been so good. Fucking riffs..
13Amon Amarth
The Crusher

Never heard about the soundtrack to a Viking invasion? well there ya go, melodic, epic, catchy and super fun to listen to.
14Ana Kefr
The Burial Tree (II)

I've never listenned to theyr debut but album rips. its proggy its fast, vocals are crazy enough to forget BTBAM and whatever other bands you might be listenning to.
15Theatre of Tragedy
Velvet Darkness They Fear

Gothic stuff has never been my thing but this fucking rules, forget Epica.
16Equilibrium
Sagas

Perfect soundtrack to an epic battle, every song is just so fucking awsome. (Folk Metal)
17Bleeding Through
Declaration

Metalcore gets alotta hate due to the 'copy paste' bands, BT added a bit of Black Metal to it and keyboards. result was a great album that didnt overuse any of the main elements, its enjoyable, its m/, flows nicely and even tho the lyrics are kinda lame at some points, it still manages to be a respectable metalcore album.
18Hum
You'd Prefer an Astronaut

Space Rock, cant say much about this type of music because i really dont know much about but goddamnit this band is great. Ever since i heard Stars i knew that i had to get this album somehow, the music is chilling and flows nicelly.
19Viatrophy
Viatrophy

In my seemingly impossible mission to find a decent deathcore band i came across these guys. they know how to play the instruments, vox are super decent and they dont try to sound broot4l at all. also unlike 90% of nowadays deathcore bands, they dont oversaturate the music with breakdowns, keeping them unpredictable and enjoyable as breakdowns should be.
20Flaw
Through the Eyes

Nu Metal is hated, it contains even more garbage than Deathcore but its somehow a crime to generalise every Nu Metal band as 'garbage' specially since Flaw delivered this album, which contains what allmost every other band in this genre doesnt have, emotion and quality. The instruments are nothing special but these vocals just grab you up for the ride, it also helps that every song is actually diferent from the other and not the usual recicled Nu BS.
