Thx Sputnik

Some good albums and one not so good.

Self Preserved While The Bodies Float Up

Right i do have my reservations of this band firstly the snobbery which accompanies allot of their fans has put me of for quite a while that and the fact as people they seem to rather up their own arse(based on a friend who met them i must add). But thx to sputnik i have given them another try and although not as bad as i thought they would be nothing to write home about I?m afraid to say. Although many have informed me that they are a grower band so i will try and keep an open mind.

Microcastle

Though not always brilliant when they are they practically blow everything else out of the water. Nothing Ever Happened and Twilight At Carbon Lake are among my favourites but apart from a one or two duffers a very good album indeed.
8Jens Lekman
Night Falls Over Kortedala

Heard Your Arms Around Me on the film Whip It ( which i recommend to anyone who enjoys quirky comedies) And was hooked From the the getgo but wasn?t ready to part with my money quiet yes as i tunes has been the death of me recently. So i checked out the review of this and honestly i had to get it thx for the review whoever did it. Quirky lyrics and fantastic compositions make this a must for any fan of indie or pop.
7Arcade Fire
Funeral

Yes i had heard the singles so I?m not that bad, but i had never thought to check out their debut even though i loved Neon Bible. No idea why but such is life Anyway a truly beautiful record which i honestly believe i will cherish for years to come, only whished i had built up the courage to buy it sooner.

Come On Feel The Illinois!

Have to admit i had heard nothing of this guy till recently ( not sure where i have been) But what an album such a variety of songs and expertly written to boot i think i may love u Sufjan. One of the best albums in recent years and is a cracker from start to finish.

Lost Ground - EP

Same as 3 but I do believe this may be better particularly the first song which along with Prophet in Plain Clothes are my favourites by them
4At the Drive-In
Relationship Of Command

I remember when i first hearing One Armed Scissor on MTV when i was about 14 and it blew me away unfortunately i never bought this album, its taken me 6 years and the help of sputnik for me to finally buy this and my god was it worth it

Travels

A Punk Concept album is a rarity in itself but one done to such a high standard is a anomaly. A Unique album which although the music is heavy as hell and the screaming takes a little to get used to the depth of song writing on show here is truly fantastic.
2Modern Life Is War
Witness

Simply put one of the most explosive bands i have ever heard from the first note to the very end i have never been so hooked on such a heavy album Granted it may be less than 30 mins but the energy commitment and passion is something which is sorely missed in lot of bands.1
1Parades
Foreign Tapes

Probably the Most exciting new band i have heard this year and honestly AOTY contender easily if it doesn?t make the top ten i will be truly gutted.
