Douglas 03.03.10	There all albums that need time to grow, or gain some personal connection with. I am still struggling with Jane Doe... Maybe one day it will click.
TRMshadow 03.03.10	Most of these albums are pretty big growers. As with all hard to handle albums, sometimes it just takes a little while for them to click. Reasons why they get recognition: Jane Doe is Extremely aggressive. This album usually clicks with a lot of people who just got through break-ups and stuff like that. Calculating Infinity is very Sporadic and doesn't follow the main conception that we know of "Music". It's the black sheep in the music world and people love it because of that. Supporting Caste is a very good representation of what "punk" should be. In this era artists like green day have made a mockery of what the genre started out as. This album takes it back to its roots, not in the sense that it sounds like classic punk, but that it has the tenacity and energy that was brought about back in the day. As for the Rest... can't help you

DiceMan 03.03.10	1 is a ton of fun to listen to, I got into it by throwing it in my car and jamming out to it. 4 defies conventional standards of whatever genre you would consider it, has really great lyrics, and cohesively fits together like the head of the humerous and the glenoid fossa. Kid A is better by just a tad though. Radiohead is also really famous for having kind of an amorphous band, because none of their roles are really defined except for Thom Yorke's.
halloway 03.03.10	because they're fucking awesome. i don't know how you don't know what's good about 1-5 just by listening (i've never heard 6). seriously, have you listened to these? they should all make you feel something, and whatever that something is, it ought to be very strong.
NocturnalEpitaph 03.03.10	2-5 are all A+ albums. 1 and 6 are both very solid. I didnt enjoy them as much as other people do, but still very good.

ninjuice 03.03.10	You'll see the brilliance of the Jane Doe the 12th time you listen to it. OK Computer should click immediately unless Yhorke's voice puts you off like it does me.
TRMshadow 03.03.10	Ninjuice, I think that's what happened to me with Radiohead. I can sorta' get The Bends, but OK Computer is just too hard to get into.

NeutralThunder12 03.03.10	Agree with mostly EVERYTHING. Jane Doe is actually excellent, but NOTHING MORE. Calculating Infinity is an excellent math record that may have been detrimental to the genre, but it's NOT A CLASSIC. It has some weak songs on it. Disagree with 1 though it's not a classic or the best of 2009, and the rest I agree with.
Brokenjewel 03.04.10	Calculating Infinity was absolutely groundbreaking. Taking the chaotic nature of free-form jazz and mixing it with some pretty messed up aggression. If nothing else it makes you think. Listen to the last song on Jane Doe, the title song, that shows the step forward Converge took in songwriting which makes it so revered.
Greenman 03.04.10	Love 5. 1 is horrible. The rest I could care less about.
Comatorium. 03.08.10	I never got 1 either. But the rest you just need time with.
