Sharenge 03.27.26	thought we were actually gonna be dealing with dub up in here, but dub techno is cool too - enjoy exploring both would def rec some of Broadrick's electronic projects where he likes to play with dub (not that he doesn't also play with dub in projects like Godflesh and jesu)... most notable that comes to mind (because it's really just fair to straight up call it a dub techno record) is JK FLESH - Echo Chamber Music 01, but would also throw jesu: Pale Sketches Demixed out there, Submerged Technology (as Solaris BC), and his Council Estate Electronics project with Diarmuid Dalton (bandcamp page for Arktika cites dub and dub techno influences and name drops both Basic Channel and Chain Reaction) I think that any of the Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement material from Green Graves onward also may likely be of interest

budgie 03.27.26	over the past couple of years it seems we've been having a bit of a butt techno/ambient butt renaissance with labels like short span, butt oil, and false aralia leading the charge. minimal/butt is one of my favorite flavors of electronic music but i honestly thought the genre was taken to its conceptual limit back in the chain butt years. very happy to be proven wrong.

Sharenge 03.28.26	yeah that split is pretty sick K-Mart obviously big dub lover too need to check some of his stuff as The Bug and just in general, but yeah been a little while since I last jammed Symbiotics... I just never really fell in love with Porter Ricks, or at least not Biokinetics honestly probably prefer the split with Techno Animal and the more recent one Anguilla Electrica over it

Hyperion1001 04.06.26	i know. i was listening to prince of Denmark yesterday and it’s finally on bandcamp but they want nearly $30 for it which is almost too much of an ask. i think i bought that Charles.a.d. release with a bandcamp giftcard i got for Christmas so it kind of felt “free” lol

Hyperion1001 04.06.26	he only keeps them up for a certain amount of time then takes them down to make room for new releases. weird guy. apparently he’s a farmer in Japan and makes music on the side. probably gonna have to go surfing to find any of the old stuff. hoping for a new release here soon.

Hyperion1001 04.06.26	yeah that’s why i bought it even at that price cause i knew it would be gone. they’re probably all on soulseek though if you really want them. the only things I use it for any more are “out of print” albums I can’t actually buy from the artist.
cylinder 04.06.26	yeah good point, might have to do that. i pretty much stopped using soulseek ever since my ipod stopped syncing, but those albums are def worth the hassle of downloading and putting on my phone
mindleviticus 04.08.26	it still blows my mind most of vladislav delay's catalogue doesn't have more ratings. Fucking incredible releases especially the mid-2000s output with Whistleblower and The Four Quarters
