Hyperion1001 02.20.24	I like enthrone more than stormblast and I only did one album per band. most of these bands have other albums I do dig.
Sevengill 02.20.24	if Hammerheart didn't have Baptized or Father to Son it might be #1 but it has both so eh also Stormblast is great but it's mixed like crap, the songs have different volumes and tones and it feels real disjointed. also the plagiarized songs. I'm glad it's the one they chose to remake since they apparently felt similarly. to be clear, there's a difference between recorded like crap and mixed like crap. Dead As Dreams is recorded like crap but it's got a great headspace, the instrument balance and panning is excellent, it all fades and transitions nicely, so even though the guitars were run through a pager it still goes down real smooth.
budgie 02.20.24	i agree first two dimmu LPs have some inconsistent production, but the better songs have some of my favorite mixing in the entire genre. i mean antikrist. just perfect. just fucking perfect smooth black metal fucking delicious

mindleviticus 02.22.24	Cool list dawg, heard most of these. Dead as Dreams didn't hit me as hard when I was younger but now that I'm almost 30 and work in a tech company it really really hits hard. The bleakness of it is just unrivaled.
