Non-essential, Boredom Rap List

bored day, just rap stuff i've been listening to recently. You could probably check it out too if you cared enough. Probably not, thats cool i guess.
1Davinci
The Day The Turf Stood Still

This sounds sort of dusty, like its a part of the ninties, but unlike most indie rap records, it also shares what was good about oldern street hip hop: the soul of it. Davinci is a mixture of a dynamic, occasionally calming, occasionally raspy voice, descriptive, occasionally humorous lyrics, and a beat selection that nobody could deny. Check out "All I Have", "Ben". "What You Finna Do?", and "Whiplash" just to get a taste of everything.
2 Mac Miller
K.I.D.S.

Okay, this dude actually isn't that great on the mic, but he's improving. He's like an Asher Roth that dropped the whole MF DOOM and Em's baby flow and instead adopted something like Drake's flow except with some occasional content and chuckle worthy lyrics. Also, this kid would've probably still been in high school if it weren't for rap. The difference between him and his fellow high school piers though is his taste in beats. He can pick between layered synth bangers ("Get Em Up"), to stuff that wouldn't sound off on an old school rap album ("Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza"). Check for this mixtape or for him in the future.
3 Wiz Khalifa
Kush and Orange Juice

God damn, this is a cushion-y, smokers banger. Dude knows so many ways to say "I smoke a lot, party, and do it with your bitch". Just check this shit out damn. Content-less but everything else, from Khalifa's rapping to his beat choice makes you forget about that.
4 Game
Brake Lights

Beats are great, but lyrically this is awful. The Game has dropped so far lyrically it almost hurts. There are about five songs i can tolerate off this, but they're all among the best of his career, so check "Cherry Koolaid", "Hahahahaha", "Ecstascy", "You Are The Blood", and "Trading Places".
5 Killer Mike
I Pledge Alliegence To The Grind II

one of the few rappers that don't fucking suck at political talk. Simply put, this guy can fucking spit about anything. Great music, check it.
6 Kingpen Slim
The Beam Up 2

hey guys, sorry for Wale's failure to produce a good album, so here's Kingpen Slim, a genuinely solid rapper with a solid ear for beats and guests.
