ConcubinaryCode 09.30.22	It does kinda blow my mind how little discussion this band got post hiatus given they were so huge before it. I still got to listen to 2&3 personally but white bat was a pretty great album so I'm looking forward to the new album. Ranking would probably be mine as well although i would move white bat up a notch personally.

ConcubinaryCode 09.30.22	I should go back to heavy fruit, I know I was unimpressed with it at the time but it might hut different now. It makes sense it would be last to me though. What would you say puts it last for you spirit?

renegadestrings 09.30.22	I’ve always preferred Heavy Fruit to Few, though Few is tonally more consistent. Heavy fruit’s tracks have this air of oppression even when they’re more upbeat rockers like ABRACADABRA. I Sleep Just Fine, This Will Never Work, The Carpet… just so much to get lost in

Masochist 09.30.22	Since I started listening to them in 2003, I've never been disappointed by a He Is Legend album. But something has to be last, right? For me, that'd actually be '91025', and then 'Heavy Fruit'. On the other end, you could ask me twice in the same month, and my #1 would alternate between IAH and IHY. Hollywood is such a definitive record in that scene, and some of the absolute best songs in their entire catalogue. "Dinner With a Gypsy," "China White," "The Creature Walks"...all-time jams. But that band doesn't exist anymore, and I find myself listening to their more groovy sound now. That's why "It Hates You" might take the top spot, because it's probably the best album for the sound that they actually have now, while also having all-time jams. So it's hard. But...this is where my ranking lies at this very moment: 1. - I Am Hollywood 1.5 - It Hates You 3. - White Bat 4. - Few 5. - Suck Out The Poison 6. - Heavy Fruit 7. - 91025 Incredibly excited for Endless Hallway! It is frightening how quickly "Lightening Lemonade" got stuck in my head after only a couple of listens.
Masochist 09.30.22	On Heavy Fruit, Few, and White Bat... It's actually REALLY good that they took a long break between IHY and HF, because that time gave me time to appreciate the album a lot more than if it had to immediately follow up after It Hates You. I still love Heavy Fruit so much...it just, they tightened their sound on Few, and then damn-near perfected it on White Bat. So HF kind of just got stuck close to the bottom by default. There are soooo many bangers on there though. I feel like time might treat it like He Is Legend's 'Saturday Night Wrist'. It's certainly the slowest and most introspective of their albums, definitely much more of a late-night record than any of the other ones (while still being a HIL album, so still a lot of high energy jams too).
