| The Definitive "grew On Me" List
With Music, Sometimes I get it wrong | | 1 | | Manic Street Preachers The Holy Bible
Hated this when I first heard it a number of years ago, then hated it again...and
again. It's now in my top 10. | | 2 | | Drake Take Care
Listened to it a few times on release and dubbed it faggy hip pop, a year later I
gave it 4/5. I still won't forgive him for Thank Me Later. | | 3 | | Neutral Milk Hotel In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
This album met me at a very strange time in my life.. | | 4 | | Mr. Bungle California
When you finally "get it" you get it...holy shit. | | 5 | | Damien Rice O
Bland as fuck on first listen, learned to love it. Great album. | | 6 | | Wu-Tang Clan Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
Just got lost in the shuffle a number of years ago, couldn't appreciate it properly.
Its now one of my favorite albums of all time. | | 7 | | Radiohead In Rainbows
Listened to it once on release, dismissed it, years later...holy shit, the definitive
Radiohead album! | | 8 | | GZA Liquid Swords
Same reason as 36 Chambers, I was just getting into hip hop and there wasn't a
place for this in my life :( I adore it now. | | 9 | | Nirvana In Utero
Probably better than Nevermind, probably. | | 10 | | Fiona Apple When The Pawn...
BEAUTIFUL | | 11 | | Queens of the Stone Age Rated R
It didn't click for me until a few more listens years later, I like it enough now (still
cant get into Songs for the Deaf however) | | 12 | | Joy Division Unknown Pleasures
Maybe one day.. | |

04.11.14 | Is it weird that Mr. Bungle's California didn't have to grow on me and at all that it was like love at first listen?
Also 7 and 9 were immediate for me too... still not impressed by 3.
Tool's Aenima had to grow on me though and oddly enough a lot of Faith No More. I still can't believe I dismissed Angel Dust upon both first and second listen and now it's one of my favorite albums ever. | Hommecidal
04.11.14 | I would've thought that SftD would be more accessible than R | Funeralopolis
04.11.14 | 12 is one of my all time favorites, it is so damn bleak and emotional and rocking all at the same time. | avonbarksdale221
04.11.14 | Kid A | FearTomorrow
04.12.14 | 4 is the very definition of a grower, took me ages. one of my all time favourites now | Riviere
04.12.14 | I knew there'd be a qotsa album on here, it's to be expected with them. | Rhinosaur
04.12.14 | Forgot to add Siamese Dream, that took some time too. | fuckyourneonshirt
04.12.14 | 9 is soooo much better than nvmd | Rowan5215
04.12.14 | "This album met me at a very strange time in my life.."
