Periphery V ranked

Pretty simple concept really.

Silhouette. I'm all for the vibe they were going for but for a song that puts this much emphasis on the vocals, the melodies don't quite hit.

Dying Star. Pretty great simpler/softer song with very effective hooks but gets repetitive.

Everything is Fine! Not a song I will probably listen to all that often but slaps very very hard.

Atropos. Has grown on me massively since I first heard it. Not everything about it lands but there's something hypnotizing about this track that I just can't quite put my finger on. Has a really special vibe.

Wildifre. A lot of fun but not much songwriting going on here. A thing I liked about P4 was the restraint it showed towards constant djenty stuff and this really goes the other way. But for what it is it absolutely kills.

Thanks Nobuo. Doesn't come close to the emotional effect Satellites has on me but it's another one that hits more and more with repeated listens. It's a solidly written track and that ending is magnificent. Love me some callbacks to older songs so "you're shining and it shows" was a great choice.

Dracul Gras. About as solid and fun as a 10 minutes Periphery song can be. That chorus in particular is addictive. Only "negative" is that there isn't much in this that wasn't already explored in older songs (especially Juggernaut).

Zagreus. For some reason some people don't have this quite as high in their rankings. I don't get it. It checks all the boxes in what I'd want a Periphery song to be. Massive heavy riffs? Callbacks to older songs? Great pacing? Emotional sections? Spencer in top tier for? It has everything.

Wax Wings. If the second half of this track doesn't hit you, you're legally dead inside, I don't make the rules. Spencer you beautiful bastard.
