Onsegen Ensemble draw influences from Oceansize. One minute, It contains Stoner riffs, and the other one we got soft, enjoyable, playful horn/flute passages and or vocal harmonies. Like Onsegen, Schizofrantic is adventurous, experimental and avant-gardist. According to me, it's influenced by Leprous and Shaolin Death Squad. The funky passages are charming.

Fear

I keep finding myself coming back to this one. It's a cinematic, world-building excursion melding heavy psychedelic grooves and spaghetti western chamber rock. Varied percussion, horn sections, and immense choral harmonies sustain and elevate the lush atmosphere founded on conventional rock instrumentation, sometimes reaching vivid, Morricone-esque heights. I like how the overall spiritual tone, repetitive elements, and undulating orchestration draw me into a meditative headspace.

Just found out about these guys a few years ago, and I've been a big fan of them since. They're an underground German progressive rock/metal outfit with avant-garde and experimental tendencies. This particular album runs the gamut of sounds and styles, with elements reminiscent of Gentle Giant, Beardfish, Blotted Science, Mr. Bungle, and many more artists. The members themselves are also incredibly talented and versatile, capable of switching between genres or dynamics at only a moment's notice. Enjoy!
