It just feels way to scattered, and for the most part they just remind of what would happen if Silverstein was a decent Japanese band (and a decent Silverstein is still pretty poopty). I just feel like they need to pull some stuff together rather than trying to be too many things at once.

Knott- 07.17.09	I do have a tendency to enjoy music in that vein.. kinda like how i think Johnny Foreigner are better than Los Campesinos! simply by virtue of their scattered nature. Still, I think they mesh the totally crazy sounds well. Each to their own, I guess. You're the first person I've spoken to that didn't enjoy it :o

marksellsuswallets 07.17.09	^exactly To be honest I didn't find anything that I heard to be "totally crazy". I mean there were a few catchy/enjoyable moments, but overall it just left me feeling very underwhelmed.

marksellsuswallets 07.18.09	Ok I'll be honest...A Fact of Life is growing on me...I still don't think it's going to turn out to be an amazing, or even "awesome" album though.

TheNewWhack 07.18.09	I'm glad to see it's growing on you a bit. FACT might have tried to cover too many bases with their debut... But they pull it off so well, imo. Give it time Caleb. It might grow on you as well.

marksellsuswallets 07.18.09	I just feel like if they threw all of those things together and focused them into a coherent sound it would work out better than them having different songs scattered around like that. The vocal processing bothers me a little too.

TheNewWhack 07.18.09	I understand. The album isn't really cohesive right off the bat. It takes more than a few listens to get it. Normally I hate tuned vocals but for these guys it seams to fit. Without it, it would be Harry Potter minus the magic.

marksellsuswallets 07.18.09	Definitely get 2. Definitely I don't really think that they're "tuned" all that much. It's just I keep picking up on so many odd delays, reverbs, phases, flanges, and random other effects and at times it's a little bit obnoxious.
