| Gief Interests!
Being in China for a year to study I'm kind of stuck with not getting new music (besides getting people to buy+send me shit); so I just feel like branching out on the reviewing and improve myself with it. Got a couple of albums I feel desperately need their first review or generally interest me a lot. Don't know if they are known around here at all though so would like to poke around to see if anyone is interested in seeing reviews for these! | 1 | | The Reign of Kindo Rhythm, Chord & Melody
Superb jazzrock. | 2 | | Dead Letter Circus Dead Letter Circus
Australian rock prominents. | 3 | | Exivious Exivious
Dutch jazz-fusion/metal. | 4 | | Kiko Loureiro Universo Inverso
Latin jazz. | 5 | | Pink Martini Hang on Little Tomato
Jazz, lounge, classical. | 6 | | Shenmue Orchestrated Version
In my opinion the best video game ever made feauturing some stellar classical compositions. Has Asian influences (duh, game set in Japan & China). | 7 | | Submersed In Due Time
Rather solid mainstream rock. There's a review up but it's exceptionally poor and I feel it deserves better. | 8 | | The Mayfield Four Second Skin
Surprised this doesn't have a review yet. One of the better rock albums I've heard, easy on the ears and really enjoyable. | 9 | | Xerath I
Symphonic math-metal, I suppose. Pretty strange, but nifty as hell. | 10 | | miyavi Thiz is the Japanese Kabuki Rock
Yeah, I know. He makes some pretty decent tunes though, the rock-funk combo is pretty infectious, even when you can't understand all the Japanese-English rambling. | 11 | | Joe Bonamassa You & Me
Bluesrock doesn't come much better than this these days. | 12 | | Diana Krall Quiet Nights
Enjoyable easy jazz. | 13 | | Cire Wholesale Buyout
Somehow feels more like a singersongwriter version of Tool with more enjoyable vocals to me. But then again I simply don't like Keenan's sound. | |

09.08.09 | Im interested in 1 | Romulus
09.08.09 | I've been trying to do 8 for a while but every review I do just jizzes all over Myles Kennedy's vox and says nothing about anything else. Which is basically how I feel about the album anyway. | Romulus
09.08.09 | Oh and 2 is great | Prophet178
09.08.09 | The Reign of Kindo album is really good, it could use some attention around here. | bungy
09.08.09 | I bought one Reign of Kindo song off itunes and its great | Jim
09.08.09 | 2 had a review but it was taken down due to it being plagiarised by a certain user who i get a lot of awesome recs off
i'd like to review it but there's only so many synonyms for fucking incredible | zuzek
09.08.09 | Hmm, to be honest, I'd probably do #2 last cause they already got a lot of exposure and a review for Next in Line, but yeah you're right.
Definitely looking into doing Kindo soon, it's incredible and could use some more exposure.
Good to see at least most of this list will find some interest with people when I put a review up. |
